  1. Actually, no. I'm not. I find using real historical, factual people to be more fascinating and interesting than overairbrushed, plastic surgery-ridden models celebs plastered over tabloids.
  2. My requests aren't exactly prettier than vanilla, but they are spouse and companion faces I would like to see...feel free to pick, choose, and ignore any of them. English Knight Robert Morley - 1300's Robert Morley and Peasant Woman - 1300's Viking Woman Cleopatra - It's Cleopatra Myrtis (11 year old Athenian girl) - 430 BC Myrtis again Another Myrtis Spitalfields Woman - 300-400 AD Leasowe Man - Roman Peter the Great of Aragon - 1285 Again, feel free to pick and choose, these are all facial reconstructions of real people from the middle and ancient eras. Personally, so long as Robert Morley, Myrtis, and the Leasowe Man get made into faces for people, I don't really care. And Cleopatra, I think, would get a lot of dowloaders, especially since that's what she actually looked like.
  3. I'm currently hip-deep in completely overhauling Oblivion, and I have no experience working with Skyrim. I can check/verify various ideas, and supply more, but I'm afraid that's about it. Sorry. D:
  4. This is not necessarily true. It's the problem with the people that make the armors and such that makes them tend to "Boring." You can make armor that is both exciting and interesting without giving them MASS1VE BEWBS!!11!1!!!!!1! http://www.historyshop.piratemerch.com/images/300366_viking_helmet.jpg http://img3.etsystatic.com/il_fullxfull.296691155.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/40/Vikings_fight.JPG http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2010/10/10/1286712499641/The-Annual-Battle-Of-Hast-016.jpg I'm sure there some interesting armors in any of those pictures, and I simply searched for Viking and Saxon stuff. They're all historically accurate and lore accurate. They're male armors, yeah, but they can easily be adapted into some good female armors, too. And I'm sorry, but this and this are a helluva lot more interesting than this or this, and far more realistic and lore-friendly at that, no matter how good the art is. And it's not even just armor, it's clothes. I would like to see some decent clothes covering these women. I have no problem with nude mods, but I'm not going to get them if all the clothing does the job for me! Even this is great! It's very similar in design to basegame, but you can't really say it's boring, and it's historically accurate and lore-friendly. Not everyone likes to see MASS1VE BEWBS!!!11!!!!1!!1!! all the time, but when that sort of trite is shoved on everyone all the time, it makes people NOT want to come here for mods anymore. I hardly browse the Oblivion Nexus because I've given up trying to find anything under all these **** mods that do nothing but make a woman's boobs the size of a cow. Literally, I saw one where each breast was twice the size of the actual woman. Talk about back problems! D:
  5. Couple problems with this... 1. What if the player joined the Stormcloaks? Imperials would want to kill the player on sight. 2. The Empire doesn't WANT another war with the Thalmor, because they would lose. 3. Attacking the Thalmor Embassy as an Imperial would be the same thing as attacking Russia's Embassy in America as an American Soldier. Not good. 4. It would take MUCH more than a single battle to promote someone to the head of the Imperial Army. 5. The Imperial Army already HAS a General, General Tullius. And the Imperial Legion, like the Roman Legion it's based on, would only have one General per Legion. I'm not saying the idea is bad, I just think that it should be rethought in a way that allows all players to enjoy it, and so that it creates more depth to the Civil War. There are two castles, one for the Imperials, one for the Stormcloaks. Each is under the command of an officer (Legate for Imperials, and whatever the equivalent is for the Stormcloaks...not sure what they're called) that requests your help sometime after the Jagged Crown quest. Once there, Both sides ask you to retrieve the War Horn of Talos. Once to do gather the Horn, you return it to your officer, and they receive notice of their new orders. Stormcloaks are attacking the Thalmor Embassy, and the Imperials are forced to defend it. The Legate in charge of the Legion in the battle is forced to deal with a really rude Thalmor agent, and gets annoyed to the point that when the battle spills into the Embassy building itself, the player witnesses him slaying the Thalmor on purpose, and he orders the player to keep his/her mouth shut about it. On the Storrmcloaks side, their officer also commits a war crime by killing a Thalmor prisoner that he deemed too injured to live. In both cases, you're given the chance to rat out the Legate and the Stormcloak officer to General Tullius or Ulfric Stormcloak, and if you do, the entire castle is yours. If not, you get a permanent home in the guest house, and reduced prices on everything in the castle. Or some other equally worthwhile reward.
  6. Well, if you spent years working on something just to have someone take it, put it to use somewhere else, and not give you credit? It protects your hard work, allowing you to be recognized for your talent. Some companies are just more strict in enforcing their rights than others. Bethesda is one of those. Valve doesn't care, so long as you make it clear it's not their official work, and it's remade on an engine that they designed (See the Black Mesa mod for an example). And making an .exe that checks to see if they're installed would work, except that then you have people borrowing their friends or pirating the games who otherwise wouldn't just so that they can play the mod. It then makes the problem even larger. Ideas can be built up from other ideas, you just have to make it yourself. Ideas can inspire, but you can't take someone else's work and claim it as your own, or diminish the efforts of someone else. It's like taking someone's favorite cookie recipe, slapping it together haphazardly, and saying "I got this from Mr. Jenkins!" Mr. Jenkins gets a bad rep for making horrible cookies, when in reality, his cookies were great, it's just the other person failed to make them right. Proper credits for proper work. Besides, what would you be more proud of, importing from another game with a different distance scale to make something a bit awkwardly-sized, or remaking it by hand yourself to be better than the original developer's versions? It's not about greed, it's about pride. We want people to know that OUR hard work went into something that grand and epic, and when people import our work without our permission into something else, even if it's something else we created, then the effect of our hard work gets diminished. I wouldn't want something that I spend half a decade working on to just be flippantly slapped into another game, because I can't control the quality of the port, and whatever problems arose from the port reflects on me and my hard work, which is not on display correctly. Besides, what would you be more proud of, importing from another game with a different distance scale to make something a bit awkwardly-sized, or remaking it by hand yourself to be better than the original developer's versions? Personally, I would rather remake them myself rather than importing them, because then I have control over what goes in, what comes out, and how the world shapes itself to be. Landscapes change in 200 years.
  7. No, it's not necessary, but the changes I'm making for weapons, clothing, and armor require new content to be made, as the systems are fully integrated and co-dependent while still being independent, and are so radical that existing mods don't give the content. And the ones that do don't give the content in the specific style I'm looking for. Once I get these three major overhauls done, the rest would be able to more easily be simple reskins or using someone else's content (with permission) to fit it all together. It's just that my art style and direction are too specific for most mods out there. There are far too many "Look at mah bewbs!!!" mods for any decent historical content to be created in the quality or quantity, and in the specific eras that this mod will cover. I've searched for years to find proper tunic models, and have been disappointed for so long, that it's what led me to decide to just overhaul the whole freakin' game. XD
  8. Problem was those levitation spells weren't...technically...levitation. Levitation afaik has been hard-coded out of Oblivion and Skyrim. I'm not sure how Dragon Flight is handled, but levitation is not part of it. I could be completely wrong, though.
  9. But Skyrim still has a LOT of clipping errors, especially with clothing, that you'd think would be fixed. It has worse clipping than even Oblivion did. Shields constantly go through my legs, when I'm running, my pants go through my shirt, half the time my pants go through my boots, too. You can't really say that they did it to avoid clipping, when clipping is worse than Oblivion. At least in Oblivion the clipping was simply a problem with you pants showing through your belt line on the front of your shirt, mostly.
  10. It would be illegal because you are taking content from those games and putting it into a game it was not intended to be used in. For people who DON'T have all the games, this would give them access to content they have not paid for, which is stealing and piracy. Most developers get very touchy about porting their content, very few, and I mean, VERY few will even discuss the option of allowing you to do it. Bethesda will hit you with a cease and desist order if you attempt to port their content into other games, even if they're other games they have made. If you refuse to stop, they will pursue legal action against you, and you will lose. If you remake the worlds (Which would be necessary for Morrowind anyway, because the Red Mountain exploded, and changed the shape of Vvardenfel anyway), they wouldn't have anything to say, as long as you DIDN'T use their content. You would have to make it all by hand, from scratch, and you can't use story elements from the game. People imported stuff from FO3 to New Vegas because most of the content was either already in the game and tweaked, completely remade, or it was custom content that Bethesda has no control over. Third-party modifications are the property of the people that made them, and thus are not under Bethesda's legal rights to tell you no. It's the modder's rights that get stomped on when people port stuff without their permission. And people don't join forces to create these mods for a few simple reasons: 1: They have completely different work styles that may not be compatible with each other. 2: They have completely different directions they're going. One might want to make it closer to a game that they know and love, others might want to stylize it a bit more, and they can't agree. 3: People on one team may not really like the people on the other team. It may not have anything to do with the mod, and it may not be personal at all. 4: They just don't want to. There are probably a host of other reasons they wouldn't be able to join together, but it's not my place to say, really.
  11. Neither of those images work, both go to a 404 Not Found page.
  12. No need to be rude, really. Not everybody knows everything, and not everybody would be able to pick up on everything. Just because you think a question is stupid doesn't mean you should be any less respectful to the person asking for help.
  13. Problem is there are only so many slots available to use in Skyrim, and there won't nearly be enough to make a mod like this actually work. At most, I think you'be be able to get separate pants, but even that would be a lot of work given the art direction Bethesda took when making the armors.
  14. The legal representatives of J.K. Rowling and the people that legally hold the rights to use anything from the Harry Potter franchise.
  15. I would like to see A LOT of new armors that don't show off a lot of skin. I'm getting tired of looking at these skimpy outfits. If I want to see that much skin, I'll go to a website of ill repute and get my fill there.
  16. Bethesda probably didn't create a female version of the mesh, so someone would have to model you a brand-new female mesh based on the original male mesh, or that's all you'll see.
  17. I'm sure it would be very difficult to pull off actually, since it would require having to hard code the new sliders into the game, something that is nearly (If not completely) impossible to do at this point. If is IS possible (And others would know better than I), I, too, would like to see it. From my knowledge, though, it can't be done.
  18. Alright, let me get this straight...you're wanting the vest in the pictures, without the shoulder pad, and with the bottom from Linwe's armor? Is that it or am I wrong?
  19. The mod I want is a bit more in-depth than can easily be created. A mod that completely overhauls everything (Balance, weight, price, visuals, NPCs, every single thing) in the game to make it look and feel more like Germany, France, Britain, and Denmark from about 400-600 AD, while keeping (and also overhauling) magic and mythological creatures. Empire being the Roman Legion, Stormcloaks being the Germanic and other Celtic tribes trying to take their home back, and Thalmor being Parthian and other middle-eastern cultures of the time.
  20. Problem is, with the animations, you'll end up looking like you're stabbing yourself in the sides all the time. It would look OK when posing and such, but actually using it is another story.
  21. I might be able to help with Voice Acting. PM me some lines of dialogue to test, and I'll send you some tests. Then you can figure out if you can use me, and if you can, where I'd fit.
  22. I think the way it's done in Skyrim is hard coded, unfortunately. They weren't able to sufficiently make separate pauldrons for Oblivion, either. Unfortunately, the system we have right now is the system we're stuck with. Which sucks, because I really think it's a massive step back from Oblivion, which itself was a massive step back from Morrowind.
  23. I'm a male of the camp of "How the hell does THAT protect you from a sword!?" when viewing these mods. The way I figure, if I want to see women in skimpy outfits or less, I'll go to a website of ill-repute, and take my show from there. I, too, would like to see some armor varieties that are not only modest, but practical. It's called armor for a reason.
  24. Seeing the Thalmor as the Parthians is something I hadn't thought of...and is actually a good idea. XD I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with this. I'd offer to help, but I'm hip-deep in my Oblivion mod and personal, RL issues right now, and won't have time.
  25. The word you're looking for is romance. There were several characters that were romanceable, and there usually are in many Bioware games. Kissing and having kids. That's the main thing that marriage is missing. I don't even care if you have kids the fun way or through adoption, I just want to see little kids running around my house, and adding kids to the cities where the houses are at.
