  1.

Just another small update picture of what I am working on ....

Castle wall elements like upper and lower battlements, brattices, tower types, stairs, curves, gates etc etc .... several modular pieces all snapping seamlessy and evenly with each other for a lot of different combinations possibilities ....

Then the new grassland on bottom .

    Wow....

I revisit this thread every once in a while, just to see what new progress there is, and each time I'm more awestruck by what I see, as always, astounding work Prometheus.

  2. I've a little experience, the main thing it requires is patience, it will take many, many months of growth to get anywhere near a beard like that. Here's some tips.

    1. You are going to itch on your neck, but don't shave it, the itching will pass in a week or two.

    2. Lift weights or otherwise work out, lifting weights causing a boost in testosterone levels, so you can try and accelerate your natural testosterone build up with exercise, specifically lifting weights though.

    3. Depending on what race or ethnicity you are, your facial hair growth time length will differ, as it does depending on how much testosterone you produce, certain racial groups are prone to less facial hair than others, so if you're one of them, just expect to have to wait a little longer than someone else might.

    4. When you finally have a thick, good length facial hair growth, then you can look for ways to style it, but as for the 'knot-beard' look, I can't say how that would be done, I'm sure someone has a video on youtube somewhere for it. It won't matter until you've grown enough hair to style though, so you'll have plenty of time to research it. Although, by the looks of it all you need is some sort of tight band to wrap around it, maybe even some thin rope like material, a rubber band would look a bit trampy though, ha.

  3. Well My main and best Voice actor had to leave for another "paid" project so I am atm with no voice actors ...

I like to be picky and he was and is still one of the best ones .

Wil be hard to replace Guinolas .

Have you considered approaching the maker of Falskaar and/or the maker (s) of the interesting NPC mod and ask them where they acquired their voice acting talent? Both Falksaar and the INPC mod had very believable and professional voice acting, it couldn't hurt to see where they came from.

One of the biggest ways great mods can be marred is by having sub-par voice acting that doesn't sound believable/realistic, it seems to me that many mod makers would do well to share tips and talent locations with each other.

  4. Please refrain from any spoilers.

I just purchased the new Dragonborn DLC for Skyrim, but I'm curious as to what point it makes sense to visit Solsteim and do the new quest lines involved chronologically speaking?

What I mean is, and again without giving any spoilers, is the dragonborn DLC plotline better played after the completion of the main quest of vanilla Skyrim, speaking purely on story terms, or is it told so that you can, as is the case in my playthrough, start the DLC main quest while being half way through the main vanilla quest and have it still make sense story wise and chronologically?

  5. Well I do use a decent number of mods, such as SkyRe, Frostfall, Bellyaches HD Dragon Replacer Pack, Skyrim Monster Mod, and others, but I've had no problems with them at all since I started my playthough.

Also what do you mean exactly by a timescale issue?

It's strange that the command to complete the quest causes Alduin to inexplicably return and start attacking though...

  6. I've arrived at Kynesgrove with Delphine during the mission 'A Blade in the Dark' from the main quest line, but I've run into a bug that is stopping me from progressing.

We run into the female NPC who tells us of the dragon attack, we run up the hill towards Alduin who is resurrecting Sahloknir, but immediately I notice that, once Alduin uses his voice to unearth Sahloknir's burial mound, Sahloknir is no where to be seen?

Alduin finishes his speech, flies away after telling Sahloknir to kill us, Delphine yells to attack Sahloknir, but nothing happens because Sahloknir isn't there, he hasn't appeared. There is a white quest marker over the mound, but he just doesn't spawn.

I looked on the UESP wiki page for the quest...

    http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim_talk:A_Blade_in_the_Dark

...and it says the only way to complete the quest (unfortunately since I was hoping for a fight) is to type 'setstage MQ106 200' into the console, the problem is that I've done this and, yes, the quest ends, but then Alduin flies in, the sky turns red, and he starts attacking me!?

I thought someone had edited the wiki to play a joke or something when it happened, because, apart from Sahloknir not appearing, nothing else seemed a problem, then I type in this command and it sets Alduin on me with meteors falling from the sky!

Does anyone know how to, ideally solve the quest by getting Sahloknir to actually appear, or just solve it so that it completes without Alduin bizarrely flying back for an unscripted fight?

  7. I'm having trouble with the sound levels of my PC when playing Skyrim, basically whenever I start Skyrim, and load a game, the PC starts to really sound like it's taking off and 'giving her all she's got'.

I don't have a problem running it graphically or anything, and my FPS has always been fine since getting it back in 2011.

    My Specs are:

    OS: Vista

    Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz 2.33Ghz

    Memory RAM: 4.00 GB

    System Type: 32-bit operating system

    278 GB free HDD space

    Nvidia GeForce GTX 560

Now, what I'm wondering is, since I'm not sure it's simply a fan issue, is if there is anything I can buy to upgrade the PC to be able to manage Skyrim? By the sounds of things it sounds like it's struggling to run the game, if this is the case, what can I purchase to improve it's powers to run it, and make running it a lot quieter? I'm not very computer savy, but I'm thinking something like the CPU could be improved by buying a new more powerful one?

    Thanks for any replies/help.

  8. Loving that latest picture!

I hope you'll consider an optional file/files for those who only want a certain elf race changed, either way it's going to be awesome!

This will undoubtedly blow the front page away!

  9. This looks amazing!

This looks to be an absolutely fantastic mod!!!

I don't want to look like I'm nit-picking already, but there's two things I'll throw out there.

    1. Perhaps it's the custom hair and face (lipstick) you're using in those pics, but they could do with looking slightly less beautiful, but then again it might look different for people not using whatever face/hair mods you're using.

    2. It would be nice if there were to be an optional file for those who liked the new look of one elf type, but prefered the old look of another, for example I would love my High Elves to look like yours, but I might like to keep the Dark Elves as they are, it's just personal preference, but it would be nice if we were given the option in a file.

    For example, on this picture...

    http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/675468-1345671071.jpg

I love the Elf on the right, but the left and middle female elves still look a bit beautiful and glossy, again though, it could just be some mods you're using?

The third dark elk, the one in Riverwood, looks absolutely phenominal! He's the perfect blend of improved features, but he still hasn't lost too much of the original look. Out of curiosity, is he an in-game NPC?

Keep up the fantastic work!

  11. I'm not sure why people are up in arms about this? I've had the same problem for a few days to varying degrees, but it doesn't affect at all my ability to play--- any mods you've already downloaded are stored locally. The only real problem is checking on updates through the NMM. I've added mods without issue, though manually.

I'm sure they are working on it, and haven't commented because they already did, really with that big letter from Dark0ne.

Actually it's not just that, it also is stopping any files from being downloaded via NMM because it says they don't exist.

I'm fine with waiting though, I just hope it gets fixed sometime today.

  12. I hate the noise that plays when you successfully stealth kill someone with a bow, the sort of 'thum!' noise that sounds like two gongs being slammed together.

It kind of ruins the immersion of being stealthy and it's a little cartoony as well.

I was sure there was some kind of mod that removes it, but I've looked around and I can't find any that do so?

  13. Personally I've never liked the idea of were anythings, at least not being on in-game. You spend all this time gaining levels and perks that allow your human character to perform new moves, animations, kill, shots etc..., and then you waste it all by just transforming into a were creature that renders all of them useless while you're in that state.
  14. I think the main criticism of this, is that many players simply don't want to have to be on 'Watch Duty' every single time they enter a hold or walk in the vicinity of a village. I don't want to have to double check every single village/house I go to just to make sure that everyone is alright and there's no vampires lurking around...
  15. Then how do you explain the multitude of times when we've arrived in cells and found a body lying dead? It's happened across multiple play throughs on multiple platforms.

The person did last time you were in the cell, bodies take awhile to get cleaned up.

When I fast travel from an area to another area and I don't expect to come back and find someone dead that was literally sitting on the porch in front of me before I fast traveled (Alford or whatever the hell the smith is in Riverwood)

Regardless of the "official" explanation, it doesn't change the fact that NPC's are dying from other NPC's without my interaction.

What official explanation? Have the developers even responded to this ridiculous game killing implementation?

  16. Yeah the attacks seem kinda ridiculous (on my game atleast, ive heard its pretty random). I'm only lvl 8 and 3 npcs in whiterun are already dead. I cant even start the dawnguard quest line until lvl 10. The attacks really shouldnt start to happen until you start the questline.

Edit* I just found two more dead just outside whiterun, one was the stable master. Guess I'm not buying any horses from whiterun now. *

You see, this is what I'm talking about, this is what's worrying me, a village like Whiterun doesn't even have that many NPCs to start with, and it sounds like Dawnguard aims to do it's best to lessen the numbers even further.

A quick solution is to keep using 'resurrect' via the console, but I'm a player who values immersion, in fact I do what I can to maintain it, so this 'fix' would ruin all that.
