  1. Hello Nexus, I am hoping somebody can help me create a racemenu preset featuring the Vampire Kain from the Legacy of Kain Blood Omen 2. I have tried repeatedly to recreate this character using an Altmer in racemenu however I truly am horrific at character modelling and all my attempts have ended in absolute nightmare fuel :sick: :laugh: If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it and I will help in any way I can, reference images, packaging, testing etc. If I can help in any way I would be glad to. This is my current best attempt, just looks like an average altmer really

After reading through this thread I have to say I am Incredibly excited at the idea of becoming a Lich was also one of my favourite mods in oblivion, also with werewolves for warriors, new vampire stuff in Dawnguard for rogue types a lichcraft mod would really round out the experience for mage types. Thank you very much for doing this and releasing it for the community I only wish I could help more than just commenting on your thread. Anyway I hope to see this released in the near future Im sure it will be very successful and extremely fun to play judging by what we can see so far. Great job!!
  3. this is the exact same for me it wasnt working earlier but is now it seems to do this everyday for me usually after downloading a file or 2 then it just refuses to load it either loads indefinitely or I get the MySQL error very strange
  4. Probably should have added using Google Chrome ill feel bad for saying this but im glad its not only happening to me! @Sendo75 Are you getting the same MySQL errors?

Been having allot of trouble with the Dragon Age Nexus lately sometimes it fine and runs like a charm other times it just refuses to load until I get something a Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/dragon/public_html/downloads/top/index.php on line 49 or something along those lines the other nexus's work fine even when Im getting the above error?I dont use any addblockers or stop javascript etrc so I dont know what causes it, it seems to be pretty random any ideas what causes this?

  9. If you send me the max file I will see what I can do with it. I've finally gotten most of my things setup, and will see if I can install max on this computer. It's an old one though, so no promices (it definetely won't be able to run DA:O at least)... It might also be an idea to send it as a message to me in my mailbox, just so that you don't get accussed of spreading the original modders work without permission. Been at this for hours i've remade my mesh 4 times as Human Male, Human Female,Elf Male and Elf Female named them the same as before but no matter what I do It just wont appear, as for the grey box I cant see anything that you described Ive clicked all over and nothing new to edit there? Also been looking through so many tutorialsbut I just cant find where Im going wrong
  11. Im going to edit the original mesh again recreate all the steps again see If i missed anything and rename the phy file that 3ds export see if that changes anything

Hey there Backsteppo I tried sending you a message but your inbox is full and you have not been online since 2010 so Im not really expecting a reply basically Im lloking for permission to convert your mod "Modest Knights Armor" from Fallout 3 to Dragon Age Origins I believe it would fit very well in that game if I got permission to convert it I really hope your online soon to reply

Good morning your at work early I see :thumbsup: Ok I opened the original mesh in 3ds exported it straight away and it appeared in the toolset so no problems there I also uploaded that rar heres the link http://www.mediafire.com/?6bgp62gtmvc0g8t I included the 3ds Phys file with it didnt know if these are a necessity but they certainly couldnt hurt Im going to go import my mesh and see if it looks any different then when I exported it EDIT: I have my mesh opened up im 3DS but I noticed it requested a Phy file that I dont have this be the problem?Other than that it looks identical to when I exported except it isnt "washed out" from adding the textures
  14. No, that they are named the same should be okay, that's what I usually do.... You sure that you didn't zoom in too much? The controls on the toolset can be a bit clunky, and if you tried to zoom even just a little when you first didn't see anything, and only then changed to female... Just making sure, the name of the msh, mao (and so on) files are named "hf_hlh_snja1a_0"? yea all the files are the same name i didnt touch the render window so i couldnt have zoomed out anyway ive checked three times now and nothing is it a problem with mesh? Assuming that they really are named "hf_hlh_snja1a_0", then yes, that seems to be it. It almost sounds like noth ing was exported, but then the esxporter usually gives a warning about that before doing it's work. Try to go back to 3ds max and move the skeleton itself. Select a part of the neck in the skeleton and try to turn it around. If the helmet doesn't follow something must be wrong. Another test you can do is import the original mesh again, and then immediately export it again, this time only changing the name to the one you used above. If you still see nothing in the toolset then it must be something else but the mesh itself that is wrong. I really need to go to bed now, but I will take another look on this thread the first thing in the morning Hahah Im not too far behind you thanks for your patience many would have told me where to go long before now! The skeleton moves so it must ve something else but that somethign can be found in the morning a good nights sleep and I might know where im going wrong

  16. Yes I can see the name MYSONJA but not the armour in the render window both the mao and msh are named SNJA1 do i need to rename them? I created this for human female but I tried changing the race and gender box but nothing changed??

  18. If you upload your .xls file to mediafire or any similar site you can just send me the download link. Like I said though, it might take a few days before I can actually take a look at it. Otherwise, I hav never bothered to check after that file specifically, but when you extracted the mod's .erf file, didn't you get a GDA file then? That one shuld be easier to modify. If nothing else, you can try and send me a screenshot of the GDA you are currently trying to modify, and I will see if I can make some sense of it. EDIT: One thing, assuming that it is the converter that did something wrong, you can also create XLS with google docks - and maybe I can import it there too. Will check it if you upload it later. No i just went through the mod there and I couldnt find any gda's only erf's and the manifest.xml? Well ive created two xls files now one a converted xlsx and the other an xls made from open office both files have the same effect so I dont think the converter is at fault here ill set up a mediafire account now and send you a link to my xls so you can see if i did anything wrong One alternative is also if you upload a gda file too that I can tinker with in the GDApp. Uploading unedited game content is usually not allowed in the forum, but an alone GDA file can't really be used to much - especially so if you have already changed some of it. If you are worried about the legal issues, just try to change most of it to whatever gibberish you can come up with, and tell me the file name used on your files already exported. I know how frustrating it is when you are so close and yet so far - I was once in the same situation when I couldn't get the skin modifier to work properly in-game. Oh, and I see now that you can add files as attachments in your replies, as long as they are below 250K Tried uploading both my xls and the gda i created with the excel processor but it wouldnt let me upload either?? No I got .xls I ran it in the processor got a success message but no gda have done this ten times now at least and ive searched my entire computer but alas no gda been having a go trying to edit an existing gda but theres so many fields :wallbash: Edit:Thanks for the offer how could I send it to you?
  21. I think I know the one your referring to but its only usable on 32-bit machines might be wrong on that one maybe it was something else im thinking of?? Still no luck creating a GDA can I use any gda and edit the fields manually with GDA app?

Well it definitely gives you more appreciation for the work modders put in and I've wanted to learn how to do this for a long time so Im extremely happy i've even gotten this far but I wouldnt have gotten past "cut skins,unwrap UVW and edit normals" without you ahh wheres the hug emoticon when ya need it?? EDIT: This is really strange no matter where I run the processor or where them xls is im not getting a gda??Imk getting the success message but no gda?? Is it possible to add my item to an existing GDA from another mod with GDA app or similar?

  25. Ok I've tried saving it in every different file type in Excel with the same result the closes I get is .XLSX is there any other file type Excel processor will accept??
