  1. My graphic card is an AMD Radeon HD 7600. I have 10 gigs of RAM. My processor is an AMD A8-4555M APU 1.60 GHz. Thanks for your responses!
  2. I am new to modding and recently I put together a mod list and started a play through but I found my frame rate was awful (around 12) and one of my mods was slow to react, which I found was because I had too many heavily scripted mods. Below is a list of my mods. Just by perusing this list, do you see any mods that you know to be especially hard on performance/script intensive? Do you have any advise for making my script weight more efficient and increasing my performance? I'm not necessarily asking for analysis (though if you feel up for it, that would be very welcome as well), even general advice would be appreciated! If you have an opinion, I would love to hear it. Here's a list of my mods: -Falskaar -Wyrmstooth -Helgen Reborn -Climates of Tamriel -Realistic Lighting Overhaul -Deadly Dragons -Dodge Mod -Skyrim Immersive Creatures -Organized Bandits in Skyrim -Guard Dialogue Overhaul -Inconsequential NPCs -Run for your lives -When Vampires Attack -Immersive Patrols -Extended Encounters -Sky UI -Moonlight Tales Werewolf Essentials -Ultimate Combat -Revenge of the Enemies Thanks!
  3. I just finalized my mod list, used LOOT to sort the mods, and Wrye Bash to create a bash patch the yesterday. Everything seemed to be working fine. But today when I tried to open Wrye Bash my Avast antivirus software suddenly decided it had a problem with it. I clicked on my Wrye Bash desktop icon to open it and began to walk away when my computer made the malware detected sound. When I rushed back to the monitor there were popups from Avast saying malware detected and my Wrye Bash desktop icon was gone. After searching all my files I couldn't find the Wrybash executable either! All that was left was some data files and the uninstall application. Avast had no problem with Wrye Bash before today. Does anybody know what happened and how to fix it?
  4. I just downloaded Wry Bash and when I was trying to install it told me it might have issues because my Steam folder is in my Program Files (which I now know is a no no ). Can just move the Steam folder out of Program Files by cut and paste or some other method, or do I have to delete everything and reinstall it all?
  5. Thanks for the quick responses! Can I get the latest version of Wrye Bash on the Nexus? In regards to LOOT, how safe is version 6.1? I read on the LOOT page on github.com that version 6 had a security issue and that is one thing that made me nervous about installing LOOT. Another program I saw mentioned while browsing mods was ENBoost. Do you recommend this program?
  6. I just got into modding, so I have been reading up on and installing several mods recently. Lately I downloaded the Skyrim Immersive Creatures mod and after reading about it the author mentioned the programs Wrye Bash and BOSS/LOOT. So I looked up those programs and after reading about them I understand what they for, but my question is how necessary are they, in general and in the particular case of the Immersive Creatures mod? If they are necessary, where is the best place to download them?
  7. There! I followed your instructions and poof! It's like magic. Everything is working. Thanks so much for your help and time. My mods are working and I feel I understand the whole process much better now. Thanks again!
  8. Ok, I uninstalled all of the mods and reinstalled them in the proper order. This time I didn't install the body replacement mods and compatibility addons for them, which I have decided not to install at this point. First I installed OBSE, then Blockhead, and when finally I began to create the omod for Oblivion Character Overhaul I got this message: "Warning - this folder contains esp files in sub directories. It is possible that this mod has been packed in a non standard way, or that it contains multiple versions. You may have to attach a script to this omod to tell obmm what to do with any optional esps. If you do not know how to script, copy the mod to a new folder and set it up as you'd like, and then use 'Add folder' Do you wish to continue?" Could this possibly be the reason for my problems?
  9. All of the mods I have right now are centered around the Oblivion Character Overhaul version 2 and the mods required to run it. My mods are: -Oblivion Mod Manager -OBSE -Roberts Male Body replacement texture compatibility addon -Roberts Female Body replacement texture compatibility addon -Blockhead -Oblivion Character Overhaul version 2 -HGEC texture compatibility addon -OBSE Tester I think the links to almost all of these can be found on the Oblivion Character Overhaul version 2 page.
  10. I checked the number you mentioned on my Oblivion and it matched the one you gave, so it seems it's up to date. I downloaded the OBSE tester and it told me that OBSE was installed correctly and that I had version 21.
  11. Thanks for the fast responses. The problem I'm encountering is I have OBMM installed and my mods installed in OBMM and they all seem to be activated and working with blue boxes next to them. But when I launch Oblivion (using the obse loader) the game works fine, but the mods have not come into effect and nothing has changed in game. While I was trying to troubleshoot this problem I watched a youtube video that said that I should also activate the files in the Data Files in addition to activating them on OBMM, which is what brought up my original question. Another thing that disturbs me is when I open Data Files using the vanilla launcher none of the mods are there. At first I assumed this was because the vanilla launcher didn't recognize mods that use OBSE, but from what you told me it sounds like I should be able to see them there. I know it's probably pretty hard to discern the whole picture just from the mess of information I am providing here, but does anybody have any possible solutions to this?
  12. I am very new to modding and have just downloaded OBSE so I can run the Oblivion Character Overhaul version 2. After many hours of youtube videos, reading instructions on this site and troubleshooting I got everything installed. The only problem is that when I try to open the start-up menu (the one that comes up in the vanilla game after clicking the oblivion launcher and allows you to access the Data Files to enable the mods) with the obse loader, it never comes up, it just launches straight into the game. I've read that for the OBSE to work, you have to launch Oblivion with the obse loader, not the vanilla Oblivion launcher. But when I try to launch Oblivion with the obse loader, as I mentioned earlier, the menu never comes up that allows me to access the Data Files. This might be a newbie question, but how can I access the Data Files while using mods that require OBSE? Thanks!
