Just for future refrence, you yeild by sheathing your weapon.

I cant tell you why this may be happening without spoiling the main quest line but if your not on the 3rd-5th or so main quest mission you may not be able to unlock them for a certain reason. Maby try progressing on the main quest youll see what I meant.

Is this bug universal, or is it just me?

Im having something similar but its around the handle and my hand. And its blue. Not really noticeable though unless your looking for it. Windows 7 64 bit CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2 GHz Black Edition (not overclocked yet) GPU: AMD Radeon HD6870 Mobo: Asus M5A88-V EVO Ram: 8GB (cant remember what it is) HD: WDC 500GB 7200RPM -
I can Max with a little bit of lag in certain situations, but on "high" It has NEVER missed a beat. Im very impressed with Bethesda. Not having many glitches (mostly just people walking through the odd thing) but i could care less. There has to be some other force at work here for you. Whats your CPU and memory usage when your not playing Skyrim? is everything updated? I think you guys covered my major complaints. The hand holding, the epic hidden chests with crap loot, the constant breaking and recharging of weapons, repetitive caves and planes of oblivion that all looked the same, and the damn ugly faces that looked even worse than (in my opinion) almost any TES game. I loved Oblivion... just sayin.

Alright ill let you know when I've beat it! And maby ill post a review! That is if any of you are still interested in Skyrim in a couple years. That's how long Oblivion took me to feel like I've truly "beat" it. Sorry about the sarcasm I did my best to hold it back, I'm Canadian give me a break

Nice I'm so excited! But how the heck am I supposed to sleep knowing Skyrim is slowly trickling its epic essence onto my hard drive! For all you people complaining about speeds (especially 10mb/s) you need to be thankful for what you have. Mines at 20kbps and I'm jumping for joy. Those guys with the tiny internet caps have it even worse

Im almost positive you can have "sets" favorited. Ill admit ive watched a few playthroughs (only of the claw quest that weve all seen in trailers) and it seemed that they could switch from something like a fire spell in left and sword in right to dual maces just by going to one option in their favorites. Didnt see this for armor though.

Couldnt have said it any better myself. Ive been killing time by hanging out with my GF (the only other thing I have any interest in doing), trying to play Oblivion ( I get bored in about 5 min), and buying things to make my Skyrim gaming experience better. Ive spent close to $2000 that i probably wouldnt have if it wasnt for Skyrim (new computer, monitor, desk, headphones, keyboard, mouse, PC Xbox 360 game pad in case I feel like being lazy anbd not using my keyboard and a few other smaller items here and there). Ill be so glad when Skyrim has come out and ive gorged on it for about a week. Then my life returns to normal and I play Skyrim for a few hours a day most days.

Its good for how close I sit. I have a 95" projector in the living room so I'm used to big screens. Also there's a massive safe full of guns behind the camera so I'm covered lol. Along with the swords and high quality machetes Im pretty set for the zombie apocalypse lol

My Rig: these specs are just off the top of my head, im too lazy to look everything up. Windows 7 64 bit Gaming computer named "Uber Rig", Ill be playing Skyrim on this obviously. Case: Coolermaster HAF CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2 GHz Black Edition (not overclocked yet) GPU: AMD Radeon HD6870 Mobo: Asus M5A88-V EVO Ram: 8GB (cant remember what it is) HD: WDC 500GB 7200RPM PLENTY of large fans while staying quiet, has a nice red glow coming out the front mesh also (cant see here). 1. Acer P236H Monitor 23" 1920x1080 2. Cheapish RCA 32" 720p TV 3. Turtle Beach DX11 Headphones (X11's with the DDS 7.1 addon) 4. My gaming rig (specs above) 5. HDMI inupt switcher for TV 6. Old gateway computer (but it can still run Skyrim) 7. Bluetooth keyboard and mouse for Gateway 8. PS3 (old style 40 gig) 9. Xbox 360 Slim 10. Acer X223w 22" monitor 11. 2TB HD 12. Razer BlackWidow mechanical keyboard (I love the sound of loud mechanical keyboards) 13. Razer Death Adder mouse The black thing on the left is a stool, i have a recliner for the tv. There wont be a problem for me and my girlfriend. I see her about 3 times a week after work so all remaining time will be spent playing Skyrim for the first week anyways. After that I usually calm down and resume normal life. I'm trying to get her interested in it too by bringing to her attention that you can cook, craft, make potions, buy houses etc. Not trying to be sexist but she loves that stuff, all she did in Two Worlds was collect stuff to make potions haha. Plus she's a Minecrafter

I hope your right Lowk and Fang. I've been worried about these specs ever since I heard them say that the xbox and ps3 graphics were going to be close to that of the pc's. All around these specs have dehyped me a little, it sounds like the pc version isn't going to be nearly as optimized as I had thought. But Ive had that feeling for a while.

Wow... I'm really really worried about that 6gb size... is it just me or is that really really tiny for how "expansive" they have made Skyrim out to be. Also the graphics I have seen in videos and pictures look way too good to fit on 6gb... can someone please explain this to me to ease my mind?
