Heya all. I recently assembled a new PC, seeing as my old gaming rig was factory-made and six years old. One of the reasons for building a strong new computer was that I'd finally be able to play Skyrim... I thought. Now, the issue is... the game runs just fine... until a random moment after around three to five minutes, at which point my speakers screech out with what sounds like the first fraction of a sound effect, looped over and over and everything freezes; the sound persists, but everything else is completely unresponsive - I can't even Ctrl+Alt+Delete my way out of it, so the only way to actually do ANYTHING is the hard reset my computer. I'm not new to Bethesda games - I've gotten around huge errors in both Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and New Vegas, but... nothing quite as bad as this... and I've tried everything I could think of to fix it, short of reinstalling my OS. :/ My Skyrim is the Steam version and I am playing it by using the SKSE launcher. My specs: Windows 8.1 Pro N 64-bit ASRock Z75 Pro3 motherboard with a built-in Intel HD Graphics 4000 graphics card that I'm currently using (seeing as I can't afford a new graphics card right away). Intel Core i5 3570K 3.4GHz CPU 2 x 4 GB Kingston DDR3 Single-channel RAM 3TB Western Digital SATA-harddrive All my mods are installed and managed with the Nexus Mod Manager. (let me just note that even Vanilla Skyrim (tested with only Dragonborn, Dawnguard and Hearthfire enabled) still had the same fatal error) My mod list/load order: This load order was made by BOSS, and the MP.esp is a Merged Patch made in TESVEdit. I've tried reinstalling Skyrim from Steam, I've tried .ini-tweaking, I've tried verifying Steam's files, I've tried updating all my drivers (even my BIOS), as well as tons of different graphic settings and resolutions. And, of course, I've made sure that as many unecessary background processes as possible were ended before running the game. I really, really want to finally be able to play this game... does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
