They have given permission for you to download and use it. That does not mean they have to give permission for everyone else to do so forever. By deleting their mods they are revoking permission for anyone to obtain new copies of their work. This is how copyright works. Arguing that the "fans and fellow gamers have a right to have a product available at all times" is arguing that Nexus is not allowed to ever go offline. Bankruptcy? They better damn well find the money to keep going, fans and fellow gamers have rights! Data loss? They must find the mod author, who has no choice but to upload a new copy, which he must maintain forever and then pass on to his children to maintain forever, because fans and fellow gamers have rights! See how silly the argument sounds? You don't have a right to someone else's work. Mod authors have given permission for Nexus to host their mods, and to gamers to then download and use their mods. They can revoke that permission at anytime, because they are the copyright holder. They can not make you delete your local copy, such a law would be unenforceable. But they can deny you permission to share it with someone else; in fact by default that is how the law works, you are not allowed to share mods you have downloaded without specific permission, which is why you see people asking permission to port to Xbox. I see. Thank you for clearing that up. I wasn't trying to argue, just didn't quite understand. :smile:

Do the mod authors have the right to delete their product though? What about the rights of the fans and fellow gamers to have that product available at all times.

I don't like Heimskr the Talos preacher in Whiterun. I'd like him better if he had a high pitched chipmunk voice. I don't know if this is possible, I haven't seen it requested yet. So, I thought I'd throw it out there.

I'm having this problem as well. I can not walk up an incline with out it taking a long time. I can run up the same incline or stairs but can walk up them. Also on the roads if it is a little bit uneven I can't walk over it but I can run over it. For example at the wizards school when you must go to the ruins with they other students that incline between the buildings and the two cliffs the path totally stops me from walking I can however run up the path with no trouble. The walking is more enjoyable to me as it is more immersive. I reason if that were me I would not be running everywhere, especially in caves and such. I had the FNIS mod and the unofficial patch but they didn't help. I tried the increase speed cheat but it didn't help. It seams to me that the game is reading that stairs are extreme inclines and speed and animation are to be um...acted as such. You no that effect that you get when trying to walk up a mountain and you really aren't suppose to but you try it anyway but you get up there eventually? It's that same effect. Anyway it's quite game breaking for me. I don't want to run everywhere. I want to take my time any enjoy it.

I'd like to make a correction of a mistake the game itself has made. If you notice...the Imperial captain chose to ignore the fact that you were NOT on the list. The General was in front of Ulfric making faces at him. Then after choosing Hadvar. You claim the General tried to execute you. If you observe the intro. The General had nothing to do with your soon to be beheading...it was the overzealous captain. So "THEY TRYED TO KILL ME!" isn't really an excuse to side with the Stormcloaks.

I like to complete all the TG quests and win the war for the Imperials then become Thane of Riften then use the set essential cheat on Maven and kill her....I know. nothing changes...but it teaches her to not talk to me like that and makes me feel better.
