This mod would be A main story mod, when you start the game you aren't the dragon born, but you play along side the dragon born, you go one quests with him, he sends you on quests and it all would lead up to Alduin, but at some point during the quests with him the Dragonborn would be killed in action and something would happen where you absorb the soul of the Dragonborn and become the Dragonborn!
