  1. Hey Keelo, Thanks for all of that info. I just checked out the steam store, I think I will make the upgrade to the digital premium edition and update and try all the tips you gave me. Hopefully it should all work by tomorrow evening, Thanks again
  2. It seems that Starfield is now managing mods itself and the plugins.txt is being overwritten by Starfield and only a few of the mods are activating when I boot the game.
  3. Hello, I tried searching the forum for an answer but couldn't find one. Basically I have reinstalled Starfield but not the latest DLC, my current game version is 1.12.36.0. I have something like 45 mods installed using Vortex. Many of them are not showing in game, but several of them are working fine. I can't get Avontech shipyards to show any new ship parts in the ship builder, nor can I see the 2 Darkstar mods I have installed. I also tried to add the asterix before each line myself then save the plugin.txt file then load the game, still doesn't work anymore, all of these mods worked great 3 months ago when I last played. Anyone got any advice how I can get these to work again?
  4. Somewhat, I wasn't 100% sure that the mod I made would be able to just work in Vortex. I thought maybe that I would have to do something else. I have just seen your previous post about the Starfield extension for Vortex. So, from what I understand, the extension would know that the ESM file in the zip goes into the data folder and the line that needs adding to the StarfieldCustom.ini would also get added automatically? To answer your question about the "Mod Manager Download" I did see that option when going through the upload process, but I didn't know that the extension did that work so I didn't check that option and just wrote the manual install instructions on the mod page. Thank you for clearing some stuff up for me.
  5. Hey, so it's already in a .zip format, I assumed that I would need to write some kind of coding to tell Vortex where to install the .zip. Basically it needs to go into the Starfield Data folder and a line needs to be added to StarfieldCustom.ini The mod in question is available on the mod pages, it's just a manual install
  6. I have made 1 mod, I would like to know how I can get Vortex to install that mod correctly. I am a complete beginner. I was hoping someone could assist with instructions on how I can make it so I could drop the .zip into Vortex and it knows where to install the mod files. Thanks in advance
  7. Quick update, I have managed to get almost all the requirements I wanted into the .esm mod, just missed a few which have been solved with the use of the console command. I even found a few extra values to mod which are very helpful, my ship doesn't use fuel when boosting and I found the value to change the distance at which it travels while boosting.
  8. Thanks for your input mate, I don't know what a Papyrus is yet, but will look into it later this evening. I think the shiprefid idea would be good as after more gameplay, I have found that other ships are also invincible. I am just loading up SF1Edit with the edited esm now to remove the changes.
  9. Thanks, console godmode doesn't achieve what I want. I have found with more experimenting with xEdit that I can get the results I want, but I messed too much and have now lost all boost capabilities with jetpacks. I'm trying to reproduce a +41 trainer with an esm mod. So far I have got most of it to work, just need to find the correct calls in the esm to modify. My main aim is to have the trainer but without running it as my game crashes quite a bit more with a trainer running. I got the boost back working, just need to work out the rest of the trainer commands and where they point to in the in game esm
  10. Hi all, I have just started to teach myself how to make mods for Starfield. I'm using xEdit to create modded esm files from the original Starfield esm file. So far I have managed to get a modded esm to load and everything was almost working as intended, but I tried to turn my ship into god mode and ended up turning all ships into god mode. I plan on making another attempt to make my ship invincible but could do with some help with regards to what the values mean. For example, when I load the ID for actor health, it shows several options when I click copy into override :Value is set to 0.000000 :God mode Immune is set to 1, changing this to 0 seemed to have made my character unkillable, but changing the same value on oxygen didn't stop it going down while running. I did manage to add ship power to 143 by changing the value of the ships power by adding 100 points, so that worked, I was able to have the ship at max stats. I am basically after pointers and tips to help speed up making a personal use mod. If anyone else uses xEdit to make mods, maybe you could drop some knowledge on a first time user. My main goal is to try and replicate what a trainer does for the player but with an esm mod instead
  11. Thanks, turns out an extension for chrome had started blocking additional popups, which blocked the download button from starting the downloads.

  13. Hi, I'm basically trying to download SFSE and the download won't start. I've tried manual and with vortex, nothing is working. Do I have to pay to join?
