Update for anyone interested. It was the Halloween mod from Steam Workshop. I unsubscribed, and everything looks great.

I've been trying different mods and re-shades to get the foliage near me in the game to look more realistic (colors). I can see in the distance the sunflowers are green stalks, but as I get near them, they turn brown, almost dead-looking. In some forested areas, the trees are so red that they look like smoldering wood. Is this a lighting issue, a part of the game design (like autumn vs. winter, spring, summer, etc..), or is there a mod to correct this color change when my character is close? Any help is appreciated. I am early on in the game, so if it's a seasonal thing. I'll play on.
