  1. i would go for a dual wielding mace/axe rather than a critical type sword and wearing light set of armors for the additional stamina regeneration but compared to a 2hander , dual wield consume less stamina tho

    pros:

-can devastate enemies easily with maces

    -attack much faster (dual flury)

    -have descent enough power attacks

    -cool animation(finishing moves and decapitation

-less stamina consumption when using power attacks

-(mace)with a 75% ignore armor heavies are of no threat to you

    cons:

-dificulty using hot keys when switching to weapons(specifically if you are using identical mace then its advisable to rename your L/R gears.

    -you cant block

-(a matter of taste)for me,decapitation with dual wielding maces sux on the other hand sword animation looks cool tho

as for dragons and mages well you can always equip the proper -%resistance when fighting

  2. tip:

1.when fighting dragons or mages always bring an enchanted -% resistance boots it helps a lot.

2.before engaging in a fight never forget to buff first *mages

3.make a habit or try to avoid picking keys from dead foes instead pick locks as often as you could to gain level but some quest you do need to.

4.F5 before engaging in major battles incase s*** happens

5.before upgrading or enchanting an item for your follower make sure to equip that item to your follower first before you start upgrading/enchanting that said item to make sure he/she will use that gear

    exploits:

1."House of Horrors" you can train almost all skill tree(archery/stealth/illusion/conjuration/destruction/one-2hand/alteration/block/restoration) for this quest by exploiting the priest in his cage during the confrontation of molag ba`al after given the rusty mace(caged) sneak and back stab him repeatedly for leveling you gain 1hand and stealth.

after leveling sneak and 1 hand to 100 go in front of his eyesight and you will now see him in your radar as a red mark train you two-hand and restoration by hitting him and using healing hands on the priest repeatedly.same apply with block/archery/destruction spells like flame or FB just bring stamina potion tho :D

training for alteration/conjuration keep summoning bound weapons and casting iron flesh(alteration) any kind infront of him while being marked red in your radar higher level spells = higher xp you get and dont forget to click on a standing stone mage/warrior/thief for the 20% faster exp

during this quest while the priest is inside his cage you can enter and exit the house anytime you want this will allow you to go to a standing stone and change to a corresponding buff :D

2.(leveling speech craft)go to riften talk to the bartender(Ungrien or whatever his name was)at the black brior meadery.

talk about maven black brior rinse and repeat, dont forget to use a standing stone befire engaging in a dialogue

  3. Please, one of you, provide screenshots! :D

  4. for fashion purposes when i visit cities and towns i also wear the jagged crown , saviors hide and plain white boots you get from archmage quarters no gloves i look like a barbarian :D
  5. TimF is right you dont need shadow warrior if you already have invisibility/muffle in your skills with a very high illusion btw that perk is better use else were just IMHO provided you do know how to use this skill properly ofc
  6. it's not always 100% you can charm foe even with dual casting even with a master spell like mayhem ect. but like what stardusk said potion helps as for enchanting you can lower the cost of master spell with -% reduction enchanment in illusion on accessories or armor my mage is 59 atm and in some situation i do get failed charm or resisted with my master spell
  7. if skyrim is crap then don't play the game its just that simple go do something else with your life, as for me i love skyim it's one of the great rpg's iv'e played there's no other RPG out there that i know of that lets you explore 99.9% of the landscape so cheers bethesda even if it has still a lot of bugs and steam is oh well nvm.
  8. illusion spell is quite fun to play with but even as you have 100 illusion there are some enemies you just can`t charm , experienced this during my mehrunzes quest when i go invisible and casted mayhem on high level forsworn btw mayhem is a master spell and i am at 100 illusion with maxed perks btw so its not always 100% successful when trying to charm
  9. good question i also encounter weapon rack in markarth when placed staff is upside down i know its not suppose to happen cause in riften its working fin and another thing there a small bug in rifted when you enter your house armor racks move out of place and stuff from weapon holders fall down on the ground hmm
  10. i have 2 type of stealth char a mage assassin and thief/assassin builds for thief/assassin max out perk stealth obviously /one-hand and light armor, enchanting mid perks to dual enchanting , smithing for light armors tree i also have perks in speech/pickpocket specially extra pocket for all the stolen goodies as for speech i have all the left perks to master trader good for early game IMHO but when you already have tons of money and all the houses in game it becomes useless so depends if you wanna take this perks upside you can have easy money early on and exploit crafting and enchanting

btw you can level your speech by exploiting the npc at black brior meadery if you dont know, it helps you gain level ealry in game

main weapon would be dagger sometimes bow depends if your enemy is ranged for left hand i use block but mainly for resistance attribute only dont have a single perks invested in block tree this build is your basic kill , loot everything game play and you will have a hard time early on ,killing dragons but as later you develop your archery perks it becomes really easy to land critical hits with the proper gear enchanted thats prolly my first big mistake i made in game i level`d my one-hand perks first instead of archery, now for the one hand tree i have maxed arms-man and both dual perks , savage and blade in case im feeling bored and tired of sneaking all the way. 100 magicka balanced health and stamina 1/2/2 ratio(imperial)

for my 2nd build the mage assassin if you want a different play style then you should play a mage stealthy assassin

stealth/sneak,illusion/conjuration/restoration/light armor maxed out stealth and illusion for illusion i have dual casting mid and right side tree to maxed to 100 illusion

there is an exploit to level your sneak and the rest of the magic perks by exploiting the priest during the quest from acquiring molag baal mace

and get the spells calm ect. its fun to use this spells on your enemies as for conjuration get dual casting and mid perk i dont summon or raise dead my weapon i use are bound swords they look cool :D restoration tree i have respite/regeneration maxed recovery avoid death and dual casting just roll around and back stab its fun if you get ganged cast calm/hysteria or others illusion perks is so fun try experimenting. or if really bored go to enemy stronghold cast invisibility go to the middle and start casting mayhem then run towards the door turn invisible and watch enemies kill each other lol magicka/hp/stamina 3/1/2 (breton)

  11. I have an assassin battle mage build for you if you like:

for RPG purpose of being an assassin battle mage in skyrim this is how i build my toon i mainly focus on maxing first my 1)Sneak - most importantly you need to get assassins blade this should be your first priority so level your sneak perks with illusion just hang around a rock or something and always hide if detected cast calm and run away rinse and repeat early on or you can train on a khajit caravan forgot npc's name if you have plenty of gold to spare."get all the perks in this tree" except for stealth i only get this at level 1 early on and i just enchant with sneaking on my armor if you plan to abuse crafting

2)Illusion - use calm/fear/frenzy if detected or failed backstab attempt this tree can save your life plus its funny watching two enemies go at it you can eat popcorn while they slug at each other

3)Conjuration - bound weapons includes 1H swords/bows ect... again i use this tree for RPG purpose i dont use any other weapon acquired or crafted except for early in game just until i purchased the spell from a mage npc and in tight spots i use fire/frost atonachs spells when ganked or need a distraction to flee

4)Restoration - Fast Healing and respite is a must , i also spend perks for recovery/avoid/regeneration

5)Light Armor - i get all perks in this tree 50% stamina regen is really good

Optional perks Enchnting/Smithing depends if you wanna abuse this perk it makes it easy tho

I use Light Dragonscale armor except for gloves i use DB gloves for x2 crit i also have different sets of armors from 1H enchants/sneak/resistance enchants, skill cost reduction/mana regen and barter and accessory lol yeah you need them if you play master difficulty

here are the total number of perks ive spent for a certain tree Sneak = 9 didnt max my stealth and yes i abuse crafting :D ,Illusion = 8 perks just middle and right perk i didnt get double casting , conjuration = 8 left and mid perk didnt have twin souls yet but i plan to get that as well.

resoration = 6 and light = 10 ,havent tried to use poison tho

i also have 2 destruction perks at my disposal just incase a see a flying lizard i can hurl fireball/firebolt currently level 56 with

  13. My mage play through is an assasin mage conjuration/illusion/sneak i also use enchanting and restoration spellbound sword / or dagger for 15x times 2 depends on armor you wear,so i wear light armors dragon set and DB glove for crit, defense and stamina regen build up as it needs for xx crit even with a bound sword, i rely heavily on my spell calm and muffle when backstabbing enemies and when fighting dragons use a little bit of spell firebolt i have 3 perks invested in destruction just for the flying lizards.

in some situation when you get ganked by 4 or 5 enemies or when you get an epic fail sneak conjuration helps especially frost/fire atronachs they also create a great distraction to enemies chasing you when fleeing.

it doesent matter really how you play a mage toon as long as your having fun,and never forget to favorite and number your spells just incase things goes horribly wrong much easier than pressing tab all the time.btw im level 56 and enjoying DB quest :D

on my next mage playthrough im thinking of going destro/resto/conjuration and just wear robes all naturale for RPG purpose only lol...

  14. having a wife/husband that sells general goods help too :D early in game , it's also wise to buy every soul gem(common/pretty/grand/greater) that a merchant sells before you sell your stuff to that same merchant that way the money you spend will be guaranteed "returned"
  15. oh btw forgot to mention i also use

the masque of clavicus vile and amulet of zenithar for 30% better price when bartering it helps a lot for starters after helgen just go straight to falkreath and talk to lod about a dog and he will start the chain quest called a daedra's best friend while following the road you'l encounter a couple of surprise on the way get their loot and so on and so forth

    hope it helps :D
