  1. What I've found in my experience is that Skyrim's game save is pointing to the user environment's documents path \ Documents. So if your library documents location as is defined by explorer is C:\Users\username\Documents, than your saves will be there under \My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\Saves But.. if you wanted to change your game save location, you'd have to start a Documents folder in your other targeted drive and establish it as your default Documents location for your explorer's library to point to. Rather ridiculous, i know.. I hadn't dug around the registry yet to see if the environment path can be changed to something static.
  2. Thanks, wish there was a way to upvote or something on this forum - this is what I already ended up doing, you're right that it seems like the only way to go about it. I didn't like the idea of junctions but I suppose this is a real use case for them.
  3. I'd think this is an easy mod to make and surprised nobody has done it - inspired by the Dragonborn DLC Buff the Call Dragon shout to call for a swarm of dragons rather than the one. Dragons are pretty weak and these shouts lose effectiveness in late game.. plenty of mods reduce cooldowns for some of these, allowing players to consider them in their arsenal again. But Call Dragon...one weak dragon, no cooldown time is going to fix that. Not sure how many dragons are a good amount.. 4? 6? 8? Maybe the 3 words can have some purpose now instead of making you use all 3 to call the one dragon.
  4. Haven't seen a mod for leaning or peeking corners for ppl who like 1st person play. Wanted to toss the idea out here in case anyone thinks they can tackle it. Would want it to work with Combat Gameplay Overhaul as that would the mod to pair it with.
  5. Concept is pretty simple and I think can be fun: You are somebody before you the opening scene of the game - at least choose who you were before your arrest. -Were you in the Dark Brotherhood, or the Thieves Guild, or Companions, etc.. How achieved are you? Just introduced, a few quests in, leader of the guild? -Guild and status affect how high certain skills are and what perks are already unlocked -Items that would have been achieved through playing through the quests for these guilds would be waiting for the player in one of the existing chests in the guild's base. Technically, what's really happening? -You're tired of a particular quest line, you just want to be a Nightingale out the gate. Maybe that nets you max level sneak and half the Sneak perks unlocked on top of some pickpocketing and lockpicking, maybe a touch of archery. -You just really like a certain guild, you just want to be a werewolf without a race mod because "immersion", for example. All in all, just integrates yourself into the world and not feel so much like an outsider. Plus lets you skip quests you can't be bothered with, or have some maxed out perks and equipment from a guild just because you like them - there's options and reasons for either.
  6. To put it another way: The game is installed on one drive, and the default save location is on a different drive. I want the game to save in the same drive that the game is installed in. Only thing I see that links the location to the game saves is the fact that it's in the profile's documents folder. (My docs folder is a slower drive, the game is on an ssd and game saves take a long time probably for this reason)
  7. I feel like what I'm trying to do is a very simple thing, yet I can't find a way to do it. Nothing in my google searches either. SkyrimSE saves to my default Documents folder (not the root, but you know where it is). I want to save to a different drive entirely, to pick my own location. How?
  8. i would like to know too. i think my loading times are a bit long, this might help
  9. I don't know if I'm the only one who's noticed this.. but the character's movement, the one you play as, is very stiff. Not sure how better to describe it other than saying to press W A S D in-game a lot really fast in new vegas and than do it that in literally just about ANY other game.. every game in the world has some kind of momentum to your character or a 'smoothness' of sorts when u change movement direction or even from standing still to running. Fallout is stiff, you just 'go' and you feel like you have no weight, no momentum at all. Is there a mod that could be made to fix this? Or is this just engine-engraved, nothing can be done about it?

  11. i know this is a couple of years old but im bumping into this issue. is there a resolution for it?
  12. Yea, fine by me as long as it has my name on it with due credit of course. Also check the page of my mod, someone else who helped me with it has to be awarded credit.
