  1. I have been having the worst video game malcunction ever, ironicly it's Fallout NV. This is the thread full of information about it. http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/405983-my-game-still-wont-work-after-trying-for-4-months/
  2. Ok, I just went over the motherboard DDR3-1333 MHz capability chart... The memory I have is not here, this could be why. Thank god for warranties.
  3. 4. Ok, first is that I put the whole computer together by myself, here is my motherboard specs: Property Value MAIN-PC Summary Manufacturer ASUSTeK Computer INC. 5. Ok, after doing a 153% check just to be sure, only two errors showed up. On the manual it says "If you have more than one DIMM and you find errors with both, even when you test them one at a time, this suggests that your RAM is probably OK. Either your motherboard is failing, you are using memory timing settings that are too aggressive, or your RAM is not compatible with your motherboard. You can experiment with memory timing settings in your BIOS, which may allow you to use your RAM without errors at a small performance cost. Another thing to check is that you are using the proper voltage setting for your RAM (not all BIOSes let you set this). Please refer to your motherboard manual for information on this topic - HCI Design cannot provide specific recommendations for BIOS settings. " This sounds the most similar to my problem, the only thing bad is I don't really understand it.
  6. Right now I am checking the memory using memtest, and I have found 2 errors as of now, I will get back to you all after it is finished. By the way, thanks for all the help you have been giving me, I actually thought I wouldn't be playing the game ar an even longer period of time.
  7. There is. But unfortunately, we are not in the habit of discussing those types of measures, here on the site. Mostly because it involves telling people to go to sites that support piracy, or because some of the measures might contain viruses, trojans, or other bad things. I didn't mean Fallout New Vegas, I just meant the memtest program, sorry if I caused confusion. Also on that note, I'm using the free trial of Tune up utilities to fix my computer right now.
  8. Is there a way to install it without putting it on a disk or drive?
  9. I use Norton as a firewall( by the way, not by choice because my dad put it on here because we use comcast internet) so I'm having to go and allow fallout new vegas to see if it'll work, hope it does. EDIT: It's not my Firewall, I shut it off and it still wont work.

  12. Hello there for those who are reading, my Fallout New Vegas game will just not work on windows 7 for me, my game just crashes right when you load the game up. I've tried everything, I've tried verifiying game files to see it it would help, I've tried changing the game to service pack 3, reinstalling it, putting it as administator mode, what else will work? I've spent 70 dollars on the collector's edition and both dlc from steam sale, I wish someone could help tell me what is wrong.
  13. I have been having this problem since March when I made my custom compuer and put Windows 7 on it. I had heard that Fallout New Vegas would work correctly on the OS, but this is rediculous. I have been searching the internet for ways to make it work but it still crashes at startup. I deleted the startup intro, changed things in the fallout.ini, but it still crashes. I know it has to be that I don't have d3dx9.dll in it, yet when I put it in the fallout folder it still goes to a black screen and then gives me an error saying that Fallout New Vegas has encountered an error. Here is my computer specs: Processor: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Processor (6 CPUs), ~3.2GHz Memory: 8192MB RAM Hard Drive: 640 GB Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series Sound Card: Speakers (High Definition Audio Device) Speakers/Headphones: Keyboard: USB Root Hub Mouse: USB Root Hub Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_gdr.110408-1633) Any help will be greatly appreciated.
  14. I'll still be happy if it's a lodgre type feel, just let it be ran by wardens, to make it have a real hunting feel.
