  1. Looks like the issues I'm having have been going on for some time: -------------------Quote from Pinned Forum Topic ---------------------------- ThallassaPosted 31 January 2018 - 11:48 AMBeep Boop Premium Member742 postsManual load order isn't a thing: this is covered in Tannin's post in the feedback forum. Plugin order only matters where plugins have dependencies, or conflicts. If you want one plugin to always load after another plugin, for whatever reason, set a dependency so that plugin will load after. Then when you click sort Vortex will always respect that order. If you want to make it, so, like, all your house mods are sorted next to each other, you're being silly as the game doesn't care about that one bit  That said the sort should put them pretty close to each other. Ethreon Posted 31 January 2018 - 11:56 AMHobo Feral Supporter13,573 postsAnd you're being "silly" telling me that is silly. Well this kinda kills vortex for me." ---------------End Quote--------------------------------- Sorry for the copy/paste mess. and no, I'm not exaggerating regarding time spent. I'm not unwilling to learn, the application is not functioning as demonstrated in many tutorials, i.e. manipulating assignment of load order for mods. It's frustrating that not even assigning dependencies rules functions properly. Perhaps its a bug, or perhaps it's a POS, until it's resolved, I'll move to another Mod Manager or come up with some other work around when I get the time.
  2. Thanks HTR. I don't expect much from a Mod Manager, really, just that it manage mods and appropriately respond as per the many tutorials, both video and text that are available, and I've endured for the past, now, 36 hours regarding managing the Load Order for Skyrim SE. Nice that it tells me about and offers fixes for conflicts. Ultimately all applications on my PC are there to submit to my will, not the other way around. Developers that think otherwise are silly, and usually will grow up. I'd much rather be PLAYING SKYRIM SE w/MODs, than dealing with faulty software.
  3. That's helpful, Troll. Why won't this mod manager change the load order of the mods after changes are made, as advertised?
  4. Loaded Vortex yesterday, Let the defaults fall where they may, changed the Groups some mods were assigned, attempted to automatically and manually adjust Sort Order within Vortex (drag and drop dependencies), Nothing. Seems like Vortex is a piece of crap that has stolen 24 hours of my time. Still have two mod related bugs I'm fairly sure are load order related and Vortex is no help.
  5. Well...bummer. It seems to be abandoned, what a waste. Thx for the response.
  6. Hello All! I need help. I've recently decided to go through Skyrim again and have installed all my favorite mods from the old days to the new SE setup, with two exceptions. Valfar Companion: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25360/? Aesir Armor https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35094/? I contacted the mod creator Omesean a couple of times to see if I could, or he could or anyone could, PLEASE Convert these mods to 64bit. I have yet to receive any response (the first was over a year ago). Bummer. So then, I took a swing at converting these mods myself following different conversion tutorials out there and on this site (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17990) to no avail. Archive.exe crashes when I try to repack the BSA files. I'm at a loss. Finally, I figured I'd appeal to someone here that probably has much more experience converting these Mods than me. Plz pm me if you can help or if there is some reason these won't convert and save me beating my head against a wall. Thanks!
  7. To kick a dead horse...yeah, its just over two years since the last post on this, I just started playing Skyrim on PC in Mid January 15. Have the unofficial patches and a few mods, Miraak froze after the first respawn, so, after getting to that point 4 or 5 times, I went ahead, dropped from legendary mod to novice, killed the dragons, and killed Miraak, everything proceeded as it should. Nothing else seemed to work.
