  1. I always thought that was just a sunken table, but I'll look again when I can get into creation kit, after work.

It is a sunken table, because I can't see a key hole and I just checked that in-game.

  2. Dear Member,

I installed couple of Mods and usually started Skyrim through Mod Organizer 2. But the graphics were horrible.

Then I started Skyrim trhough Steam and now it looks incredible!

    So my question is:

How do YOU start Skyrim? Do you launch it trhough the Mod Organizer or do you start it through Mod Organizer?

What I bolded is the answer of your question.

    Note, I don't use MO.

  3. You can actually identify it yourself by using the console in-game by bringing up the console then click on the object and type "ori" without quotes and press enter.

The filename for the actual object is shown on the top bar in the console and most modders (projects like TR) often have there initials e.g TR_<filename> in the ID for the object.

Or you can open the mod in CS and search the filename you got by using the console in-game.

  4. Hi guys, I came back to Morrowind after about a 10-year hiatus and my current character is reaching the end of his journeys. Level 66 Dunmer custom mage (destruction, mysticism, restoration, conjuration, alteration, enchant, alchemy, blunt weapon, speechcraft, unarmored (but started training light armor so he can utilize that really cool modded Telvanni Cephalapod Armor)). He's ridiculously powerful. I've finished Tribunal and Bloodmoon on max difficulty (aside: I'm firmly a Tribunal expansion fan.) and also did Rise of House Telvanni, finished the MQ, etc.

I've had the newest version of Tamriel Rebuilt installed for a while but have barely touched it since I was mostly re-falling in love with the base game. My plan for this character now is to just run around and do whatever till all his major/minor skills are fully maxed (something I've, strangely, never accomplished with any character), then start a new character. So now I'm wandering around the mainland looking for stuff to do. Unfortunately I've already become the leader of his factions on Vvardenfell (Mages Guild, House Telvanni and Tribunal Temple) so can't do any of those quests on the mainland.

Does anyone have tips for any particularly interesting or challenging high-level dungeons, enemies or side-quests on the mainland? I'm aware of Kemel-Ze and plan to explore it, but other than that don't have any idea which spots might be more interesting than others.

As I recall it you can still do quests for the factions on the mainland.

Not sure about the Tribunal Temple though.

As for the Mage's Guild I don't think RoHT touches the mainland Mage's Guild, but I could be wrong about this.

One of my favorite misc quest is the Hard Time quest in Rahn-Ruhn (you can get there by using the Almsivi Intervention spell when you're in Wolverine, Sadrith Mora).

  5.

With AFT, you can also bring a small group of followers on horseback, and then just leave them outside to guard the horses.

The only advantage (that I can think of) to the AFT campsite vs the tents in CampSite is that in general, the campsite a follower places, can be placed anywhere, whereas the campsite mod's tents are limited by terrain meshes in where they can be placed.

Anywhere? Are you sure about that?

Then try to place a AFT campsite on Solstheim and you'll see it's almost impossible, because the AFT campsite requires a large spot and finding a large spot is hard to find on Solstheim.

  6. I am looking for a mod that lets me put out campfires, static torches and such. I remember having something like this in Oldrim and had it for a really good thief play through. Anyone able to help me locate this mod for SSE? Does it actually exist as I remember it?

Chesko's Campfire is the best mod out there, but not the only one.

I use a mod called Campsite.

    https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/22353

It adds several "placeable" tents (with limitations on where they can be place based on terrain), as well as what you're looking for... the ability to use firewood to make, light, and put out a campfire

Granted, only for fires that you created and lit, but anyway...

You can put out a campfire in AFT too, not immersive as Campfire but still the same effect.

  7. Hey, I had the same issue. And I have a lot of the same mods as you. Been running the vast majority of what you are for quite a while now. However, I threw in Misty Skye on a lark just recently. No issues until I got close to Sarethi Farm. Then, just like you, game froze. No clue why. Restarted, went to same area, same thing. I disabled the Misty Skye esp, tried it again. No issue at all.

So try that, if you haven't figured it out yet yourself. Disable the Misty Skye esp, see if you can go to that area now.

You should inform the MA about what you have discovered, so a mod patch can be released for that mod as that will help other players.

  8. I had a mod that gave you a edited version of the beginning of Skyrim in Helgen. I don't think it was alternate start. Live another life. I remember it being kind if the vanilla beginning but having it shorter and you didn't have the cart glitch.. I haven't played Skyrim in a long time therefore I can't remember the name of the mod or if it even exists anymore. If anyone could help me or point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

That mod was an alternate start mod and that's called "Alternate Start - Live Another Life" (LAL) by Arthmoor. :)

  9. I'll be honest, Ive rewritten this post many times. I'll be blunt, my father has passed recently, and I simply can't mod at the moment. I can't focus and am easily frustrated, but thought this would be a good idea for one more experienced to work with.

Not a request unless someone wants to do it, no pressure, just good vibes.

The optional parts that seem "out there" are simply rp mind candy, the parts involving the children of morrowind, a sixth house faction, or slave mod.

I don't like children of morrowind, but if they were more vanilla and killable, placed appropriately, a few quests, wouldn't mind. Playing hopscotch and stuff? Nah.

Sorry to hear that and I know by experience how it is.

I bet Emma would never grant permission to anyone who wants to do that in another mod.

  10. You can make the NPC's move faster with a simple console code.

Sure, one can do that, but on the other hand it would be only temporary and often using the console in-game is likely to break the game due to excessive use of the console.

  11. I remember that quest and if I haven't forgot everything, I don't think I joined the East Empire Company before I went to the docks and talked to one of the miners.

Once we arrived on Raven Rock and talked to Falkar, I joined the East Empire Company.

As for solving your issue, my advice is to start over when you first arrived on Solstheim. Or maybe you are using mods that might conflicts.

  12. Well I want to thank everyone for their advice, but I am embarrassed to find out that the issue was I forgot to activate a compatibility patch for one of the mods. That fixed the issues completely.

Even we, who is stuck with mods, can sometimes make a mistake like what you just did. :P

  13. I've been learning blender and game design for a few months now, and one thing I've been curious about is creating Skyrim mods.

There's a tutorial series on Youtube I discovered for using the creation kit, but it's intended for Skyrim LE, and, of course, I'm wanting to use SE, and I doubt that particular series can help me there. I'm new to modding and the forums, but if anyone knows of any good resources for someone who has no experience with skyrim modding, I would greatly appreciate it.

If you really want to learn how to mod then you might consider of joining the modding school at TES Alliance. :)

Also watching YouTube videos could help too, but at the same time it could be a little confusing since it's easy to miss important things.

  14. I think the OP doesn't have a correct shortcut (I mean the path for launching SSE with SKSE64) for SKSE64 and without a correct shortcut hence the "SKSE64 is not running" error.

    The path I have is...

    "G:\Bethesda Games\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\skse64_loader.exe"

...as path for SSE with SKSE64.
