How do I change the # of NPCs in LIAT?
thisburningage replied to TheBlueScholar's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I'd also be very interested in knowing how to edit the number of NPC's present if anyone has any information? I currently run a heavily modded Skyrim game and whilst I can easily run LIAT with vanilla settings, once my texture replacers are all loaded I get either CTD's or infinite load screens when entering an Inn. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated :) -
Just stopping by to say I'm having this very same problem. Seems to be involving: DLC2PillarBuilderActorScript and MQ106BurialMoundScript. Hmmm...

Despite the fantasic work getting the Hearthfire Patch out so quickly I'm still suffering from CTD's on entering Breezehome. This is with no other mods that would effect the player home enabled (in my case I was only using the Shadow Striping Fix, and just to confirm: soon as I disable Hearthfire I can enter without any problems). Load order for the patches is correct according to the info given so at the moment, well, I'm pretty much stumped :(

An update on the issue of unistalling the USKP made by Arthmoor tonight: Folks, I realize the CTD thing with Hearthfire sucks, and sucks bad, but you are going to do MORE harm to your game by disabling the USKP midstream due to the way Papyrus works. Please don't do that, because once you do, there's nothing I or anyone can do to fix the damage that could be done. Also, don't follow advice to mess with HF in the CK. The CK has to be updated to support new record types that went in with this DLC. All you're going to do is break something even more by doing that. I'm going to try and get a new USKP beta up now that zilav feels TES5Edit is safe for general use since that's needed to pull the conflicting navmesh edits that are causing trouble because Hearthfire deleted a couple the USKP fixed. Personally speaking I prefer to play safe so I've written off yesterdays playthrough since disabling the USKP and reintroduced my Save Game at a point where the USKP and Hearthfire were still active (luckily I saved right before entering Breezehome...not sure why but very glad I did). It's not ideal as I'll be frozen out of Breezehome for a while until the new USKP beta is released but hopefully it'll keep things stable and playable till then. Right then, I'm off to Falkreath to see a Jarl about a house... :)

On a side-note, can I just say, big thanks to you for solving that particular headache? It's not been adversely effecting my game but there's a part of me (a very anal-retentive part I'm aware!) that likes to see everything in its right place, and having both Dawnguard then Hearthfire highlighted red was bugging the living Hell out of me. One quick download of a BSA Unpacker, a few extractions and job done. Cheers for that! :)

Hmmm...this looks like a strange one then as disabling the Unofficial Skyrim patch worked like a charm. It's very rare that I get CTD's (I use Wryebash to consolidate everything) and I had no prior Breezehome mods installed (although the rest of my game is heavily modded). Maybe it's caused by a combination of the Unofficial Skyrim patch and certain (if not all?) Breezehome mods? Either way it might be a good avenue to try first.

Experiencing exactly the same CTD on entering Breezehome with Hearthfire enabled. As soon as I disable it, I can enter without any problems. About to try disabling the Unofficial Skyrim Patch as suggested by digitaltrucker.

Firstly, my apologies for the length of time it's taken to reply. I have something called Crohns disease which often involves long stays in hospital and unfortunately, not long after I started the thread, things went a bit wrong and I ended up in there again (thank God for PSP's and iPhones else I think I would go insane with no internet and no games to distract me! ) Secondly, to asdasdsuper, MoreDread292 and FlCTlON, thank you SO much for taking the time to write such informative and helpful posts! It's looking like the Wanderers Edition is definately going to be a good starting point for me as it really does seem to fulfill my criteria quite elegantly. MoreDread292: I genuinely really appreciate the mod list breakdown...knowing in advance any possible compatability issues between mods is going to make things so much easier...thank you! Now I'm out of hospital I've got several weeks post-surgery recovery at home and coupled with New Vegas not being out just yet it's the ideal time to "scratch that Fallout itch" that I seem to have developed again and get stuck into a second playthrough, only this time with the bonus of mods (and this time probably being an evil sonofab1tch rather than the goody-two-shoes character I roleplayed the first time round...! )! Thanks again guys

I've been a fan of the Fallout games for quite a number of years now and when "3" came out I was bowled over: a truly amazing game with a tremendous level of depth. I subsequently worked my way through the main story arc and devoured the DLC's as I imagine everyone reading this also did. However, although I was happy playing the PS3 version I always felt I was missing out on a whole other level: the mods. So now, with New Vegas imminent and with the PC version of the game in hand, I'm looking forward to playing through again, but this time using those mods I've been coveting! However, after reading around the subject, it seems the list is almost endless and genuinely quite daunting, particularly for someone who isn't used to PC gaming (music production yes, gaming, no!). But I'm no Luddite, enjoy a challenge and I'm looking forward to getting started...which brings me to my actual question...what mods should I get? On the surface that question seems somewhat daft I know, everyone's tastes are different after all, but let me explain. Fallout 3 really hooked me through it's immersive game-play and environment, it's a world I could easily lose myself in for hours at a time, it's characters, landscapes, cities, items, quests all harmoniously meshing together to create a believable world. Ideally I'd like any mods I get to reflect this...so Star Trek uniforms, Warhammer armour and the like would be a no-no for me! I've been fascinated with the additonal clothing, weaponry, armour and body-types, the new monsters and buildings that have been created, everything that has been done to enhance the gritty, and at times quite adult, post apocalyptic setting. Unfortunately, what I don't know is what mods would be compatible with each other as I imagine there are issues with running several all together? And I would be looking at running quite a few if it's possible. So...if you were me, what would be your recommendations? What would be your top 10 or top 20 Mods that match my criteria (I may have to make one exception regarding the lightsabre mod, lol ;))? Thanks, Friday.
