  1. So i tried searching for a mod that does this - i wouldn't be too surprised if one did exist, but after a while of looking - i couldn't find one. In oblivion, whenever the rain is falling, it has a tendency to go straight through ceilings if you're outside. for example - when you're under a bridge while it's raining, the rain will pour straight through the bridge as if it weren't there. i was wondering whether it would be possible to make a mod that would fix this? or if there is one already that someone knows about, whether they could link me please? anyway - thanks in advance! ^_^
  2. ohhhh okay! yeah i'm using streamline - i didn't even think of that. thanks so much!!
  3. Whenever I try to change my video settings, the game jumps back to what they were before. It's kinda weird o.O for example - my computer isn't super high end, so I keep trying to make the graphics a bit lower, but whenever i try to change the grass viewing distance or number of shadows, it instantly reverts back to settings from before once i start playing again. i know settings such as these can be adjusted by the .ini file, but i'm not too experienced messing with that so i'm kinda hesitant. i was wondering whether anyone knew what to do? or had suggestions for .ini adjustments? - thanks so much in advance! ^_^
  4. i think the new site design is nice, but it would be great to have a feature to change the color of the orange - because it's very bright and i like other colors more :P
  5. So i recently got the HG Eyecandy Body: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15802 I use the underwear, normal E-cup version. Then, i got a stock clothing/armor replacement mod to match the new bodies: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24078 I followed the instructions (for a manual install) and i got every clothing item working i believe EXCEPT the wrist irons. I'm not sure why, but even though every OTHER clothing item works, whenever i equip the wrist irons, it appears as though my characters hands are missing. Any suggestions? A file path for the wrist irons would also be very helpful, because the provided folder configurations for the mod are a little ambiguous. Thanks in advance! :D
  6. You answered all my questions perfectly - thanks so much! :)
  7. So I'm trying to optimize my game performance as much as I can and I had a few questions regarding the "video" settings in the options menu: 1) what is texture size? examples: large, medium, small Which of the texture size options is best for low-end graphics cards? 2) what is specular distance? What does it do when the slider that adjusts "specular distance" is moved around? 3) How big of an impact does resolution have on FPS? So my native resolution is 1280 x 800 and as long as the game's widescreen (not boxed by black borders) i don't mind the res so much, but I was wondering how big of an impact the res has on gaming performance? so will a difference of 1024 x 640 be a HUGE difference from 1280 x 800? Anyway -- thanks in advance!! :D
  8. yeah - i guess you're right about the huge number of textures making it difficult to make this mod :( but perhaps there is a simpler way of doing that? like an automation that makes the textures more simple? idk i'm not that experienced w/ this stuff :/
  9. So I really like the Dragon Age game - i got it kinda recently, but it's pretty awesome already! the only problem is that although the gameplay is fun, sometimes my FPS gets a little lame and even if it's not rendered unplayable, smoothness would be soooo appreciated! even if my settings aren't that high, i sometimes get this problem :( I'm suggesting a kind of texture pack that is of lower quality so that FPS can be boosted. It would be kinda like "Pixelivion" for TES IV: Oblivion (http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19068) Even though this mod is for REALLY low end computers, a slightly less extreme version of this mod for Dragon Age would be perfect! I can't really find many mods that help FPS, so even if this mod isn't made, some suggestions for FPS improvement would be great too! -- THanks!! :D
  10. So I'm just editing a few things in the Oblivion.ini such as some font changes (manually installing DarNified UI, as well as a few other things) and i just had a quick question regarding the way the .ini file works: Will every single change to .ini file alter a game setting? for example, i know if i erase something written, or change something written than it will obviously have an effect on the game, but say i just want to add some empty lines between each setting category, or say i change the color of some of the words in the .ini file -- will that do anything to the game? its all just a matter of trying to make the .ini easier to read and easier to search for the different categories by maybe changing some colors. anyway -- thanks a ton in advance :)
