  1. Allright, since I haven't found any good permanent fix on the net (only seems to have temporary ones), I'm gonna try a full uninstall/reinstall of mods and game. It is also what they recommend on Bethesda website (possible corrupted files from a mod) I don't know if the card crawl thing might be it since I only have my rig since October and (crashy) skyrim since february. I don't think I mistreated it enough for the cards to pop out of the slots. Again, I might be wrong if this can happen at any moments, but then again, would it affect other games I have, like Planetside 2 (runs very smoothly)? And no digitaltrucker, no offense taken, I assume that I am a newbie to pc world and proud to say that I can only improve myself :P. If the reinstall doesn't work and you guys confirm to me that a card crawl can happen at any time, I'll give it a shot and bring my poor PC at my local pc store. Thank for the help, I'll keep updated on the results of the reinstall.
  2. Oh sorry there, I misread :P I'll try this over, anyway I think i'm still covered by the guarantee from the PC shop where I got it set up
  3. yes i think they all are, i updated my graphic card and sound card.....are there any other important drivers to update? (are there drivers for the cpu/motherboard?) To digitaltrucker, How exactly do i reset the video card/all other card? is there a button or a switch on the card? Or do I have to take em out of their slots and re insert them? Also, I bet I have to turn my computer and my power supply off? On another note, I checked if my problem could be caused by a memory block issue but it isn't (the 256mb + 256mb memory skyrim take to load things)
  4. I did back then and same issue occured but i guess i have nothing to loose if i try again
  5. Well, after trying out, here is what is found out: Las time I tried fixing it was months ago. Therefore, some details I mentionned in my first post were not quite true. I had memory that my PC would restart but it isn't, sorry, my bad. It actually freeses, screen turns to black and sound bugs off (gltching buzz sound) Therefore, I couldn't get to the blue screen thingies and I lost the temperature monitoring window. Although it if kept it's memory from before the crash, the max value temperature on the cpu was of 46c (114f) will try some more test Thanks again ***edit Dang I think I've found the reason. I always checked my cpu temp but never gave attention to my gpu. Cpu stays around 45c (normal is 41c) nut gpu gets up to a whoping 71c. Can this be the reason to the crashes? If so, is there a patch or a way to ease it on the gpu or my only option is get a better cooling system (i.e. water cooling )
  6. Like I said i'm kinda new to programming and/or computer (usd to be a console gamer before) so no I haven't overclocked it, don't know how to do it or how to properly do it. I am not using ENB (nor enb booster) PSU: Corsair HX 750 watt For the exact temperature and the blue screen log, i'll need to make a test to try out and i'll bring back the results
  7. ** sorry for the other same topic, my web browser kept telling me it wouldn't connect to the forum server, so I kept retrying. If a moderator could kindly close them and keep only one open, I am very sorry. Still trying to figure out how to delete a topic here >.< gash haven't felt this noob in a while...
  8. To whomever might read my post, I would first like to say thank you. Beforehand, I would like to say that I am quite new to modding and I don't know much about programming. I tried nevertheless to fix my problem on my own by searching on the web, and it worked for a few time...until this problem poped up. Here is my problem. From time to time, skyrim bugs and make my whole computer reboot. I don't mean a CTD or a black screen. I mean full crash. Once or Twice it just froze to a black screen and I had to manually reboot, but most of the time the computer reboots on it's own. The problems seems to happen mainly while I am wandering outside in the game. It happened while running, on horseback, fighting wolves or simply picking up flowers. The temperature doesn't seems to be the problem. As suggested on some websites I visited, I turned to off my autosave features, but it doesn't seems to do the trick. Also, I installed mods by following tutorials from gopher. I therefore play the game trough SKSE and not the vanilla skyrim starter. Finally, this is the only game in which I encounter the issue. Therefore, I wonder if it might be because of a particular mod that might have a bad reputation of creating that problem, or simply because two mods get into conflict. So, without further addue, here are my computer specs. (tower, not a laptop) OS: Windows 7 pro. 64bit Processor: Intel core i7-5820k CPU @ 3.30 GHz Motherboard: MSI X995 Gaming 7 Ram: 16gb (4x4) Graphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (zotac) @ 1076MHz graphic ram: 4gb (i do believe) Memory: Samsung SSD 840 Evo 250GB (where my OS is installed) western digital black WD1003FZEX-00MK2A0 (hard drive) 1TB (where skyrim is installed) Skyrim exact path: Computer > 1 TB(E:) > Steam > steamapps > common > Skyrim Info about game: Game version: ...1.1? got it from steam last christmas (dec. 2014) DLC(s): None Mod Manager: Nexus Mod Manager SKSE version: 1.7.1 Other Programs: LOOT for load order Here is the list of my installed mod from the LOOT log: I think that is about all. Please tell me if you would like any other information. I'm sorry if I missed anything, it is getting late here and i'm getting kinda tired. P.S. As I said in the top of the post, I am somewhat new to programming and modding. Therefore, if someone finds the problem/solution, I would highly appreciate if one could explain with a tiny walk through or link to a video how I can fix my problem. Thank you for your help, Sincerely, Nespheratu
