I love that idea!

I advocate making Sumo Mortalis completely toggleable unless you are starving. IE No magika drain unless you are starved.
-
I think you need a perk that lets you remain in Forma form without a magicka cost provided you are not starving.

Please try to fix this, it would be very helpful. This mod has it implemented last I checked. See if the owner can give some tips. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=9717

Pretty sure I tried at all level other than Sire. When I tried, I did not have the option to feed at all. And as far as I can tell no one was carrying garlic Is there a way to incapacitate an essential NPC for a period of time (maybe 48 hours) if they are drained dry? That way if you feed on them to the point where they would normally die, they would stay sleeping/incapacitated for a long period of time (I suggest 2 days for their body to recover). Sound great, you sacrifice your follower and absorb the full potential of their Health and Magika. (Since this is killing them it should be significantly better than simple feeding) Maybe fully recover magika, health, and stamina and you also gain a healthy heart for use later I think if you are in combat the chance for a healthy heart should be lower. Maybe say 25%. But you should not be considered in combat once the last bad guy dies. I also think the timing should be 15-30 seconds. 10 seconds to harvest a heart is very limited.

Have you seen this mod? It may help with ideas for flying. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=15775

Personally playing through I felt that vampires were less powerful than non-vampires. Non-vampires can heal whenever they want potions and can use restoration spells. There should be some really great positives to offset some major negatives of being a vampire (weakness to sun no restoration spells no magika etc) Vampires either need to heal really quickly (which is lore friendly) or have other means to heal themselves. Right now IMO even with the awesome being a vampire is more of a negative than a positive.
-
it sounds like a great idea What if we allowed you to heal yourself at the sacrifice of satiation? Say 10-20 points of satiation for 100% health, magicka, and stamina recovery? -MM Sounds good to me. Remember that vamps are undead and are supposed to heal fast. Maybe increase the recover health rate slightly as well.

I agree with the second alternative. That sires should have twice that of the prognegator. As far as bugs/tweaks go I reported several in the Beta private message. Been having fun testing this.

I did and thanks!

I'm on the Beta, But could you all resend the Beta invite email with instructions?. Sorry to be a bother. I accidentally deleted the entire beta conversation message (instead of a single one of my posts) :wallbash:

I am glad you think so. I really wish I had modding skills. I feel like I have a bunch of ideas but no skills to implement them. :wallbash: Oh well. Maybe someone out there will be able to implement my idea. Anyone who reads this feel free to use my ideas however you see fit. thanks.

A mod request. There were awesome mods for both Morrowind and Oblivion that let you become a lich (skeletal undead). I am requesting someone make a mod like this for Skyrim. My suggestion is that a new quest is added where a powerful necromancer is threatening Skyrim. The dragonborn hears about it and his quest is to stop him. Maybe have to fight through a dungeon to get to the necromancer. Once there, the dragonborn discover's that the necromancer is no longer human has become a lich (powerful level 50+ undead really hard bad guy). The lich then compliment's the dragonborn or being able to find him and being able to get through the dangers to get to him. The lich then offers dragonborn the opportunity to join him. Become my equal and join me in immortality. The dragon born then has the choice to kill the necromancer or join him becoming a lich as well. Lich should have higher health and stamina Be feared/AOS in his true skeletal form But also have a toggable lessor power to assume a human guise form (where he will appear to a normal human to those around him). If enough people comment maybe a mod maker out there will take notice.

That's like "Sleeping Sleep" :) -MM Oops. Duco Somnus (charm, influence sleep) Duco dormiĆ (charm, influence sleep)

For the go to sleep power howabout: Adduco somnus (persuade/charm/influence sleep) This is my googling attempt at Latin. Any Latin expert out there please correct me. Hmmm...missing that ring to it... According to google Somnus is the NOUN form of sleep. I.e. Sleep as a condition rather to got to sleep as a verb but then I'm no latin expert either. Speaking of ... Got back together with my Romanian friend and she said that a lot of the translations into Romanian would just not sound right when spelled in english, and if spelled phonetically would just be laughable for most of them so.... Since I want to keep the language count down (we're already mixing some latin and italian) I think we'll forget about romanian naming conventions. -MM Dormi Somnus ?

For drain blood howabout one of these: Attero vita (Destroy, waste, weaken, impair/ Life) absorbeo sanguis (absorb blood) absorbeo vita (absorb life) Vita Vesco (Life feed) Comburo Vita (consume life)

Sounds good. Once in beta testing we will all have a better idea. But per your comments above I don't think should be any problems. Especially since you can carry multiple hearts.
-
I haven't tested the heart system yet (obviously). But I do think you need to have a way to go for a long time without having a follower nearby. I personally hate followers. I got to level 50+ with only using followers when I had to (companion-based quests). I really don't want to have to leave a quest/location to feed all the time. That is why I proposed having the option to bottle instead as well as feed. To me the life force is IN the blood. Maybe bottling takes something like 50-90% of an NPC's health. So you can only do it once per follower unless you want to drain them dry. Especially for sires who are not going to have the restoration tree or potions. I seem to remember only being allowed to carry a single heart at a time. If this is case you are going to be really weak without a follower around to feed from.
-
What about an option to bottle blood ? Instead of feeding you bottle blood to consume at a later time. Something to consider. I think it would be very useful.
-
Does this mean if you aren't killed by fire, silver, garlic, you will resurrect after a certain time period? Please say yes.
-
That actually was in our original plans and fell through. Charming people to go to sleep would be an ideal way to handle it. Does that mean charming people to sleep is not possible because it "fell through." Or is it just something you don't want to add to the mod?
-
I cannot speak for the mod owners but to my knowledge being a vampire is actually a new race. So the dumner fire resistance shouldn't apply. I could be wrong though,
-
You comments above sound good. If the restoration tree and potions are limited in usefulness (useless for upper levels) vamps need another way to feed/rehealth. That got me thinking, what about a charm spell/power that makes an NPC go to sleep? So that you can feed. (No good for combat but useful in other situations). Maybe this one ought to be limited to once a day or maybe multiple time upper levels like sires. As far as Forma goes I really think we are over-complicating things. I personally would like to see Forma cost magic (it is an illusion skill after all) I don't see what stamina has to do with maintaining a human illusion. Once cast, it will stay equipped forever until it is toggled off. I think that would be the best and easiest option to implement. You could add negatives such as losing skills, no feeding, etc, but that is optional.
-
So Forma still uses Magicka  I was hoping, (based of one of your previous comments) that you were going to change that. Making it cost a lot of magika to cast but once cast it stays up but also disables certain abilities.
