"Files are disabled for this game" error
Khalifrio replied to ziomekpl13's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Same issue. I'm guessing some one at the Nexus hit the wrong button. -
I've tried to be fair and give the new layout a shot. But, its been a few weeks and, I absolutely hate it. This is yet another case of fixing a problem that only affected a small part of the population and totally screwing over the rest in the process. The old layout was just plain logical and efficient. The new one is a huge waste of space and you can't even customize it to make it more efficient. All to make the Cell phone crowd happy. I used to log in several times a day looking for new mods. Not so much any more. Once a day at best, simply because I'm expecting a new mod to pop up soon, once its out I doubt I visit once a month. Yeah, about being able to use the old layout. You can, but you have to hop through hoops for it to work. Don't bother book marking it because the bookmark will get updated to the new version in a day or so. Funny how the old layout page has a big bar at the top with a link to the new layout but not vice versa. Tells me we are going to be forced this mess no mater what. There, vented, feel better but don't expect any one to pay attention.

Minutemen 3 faction neutral ending or Railroad ending?
Khalifrio replied to JoeOllie's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
If I had the rate the endings it would go like this. Keep in mind this is my personal preference. Others will disagree, some strongly. 1. MM 3 surviving faction ending (best option for after main quest game play) 2. BOS 3. MM normal ending (the BOS get taken out along with the Institute) 4. Institute 5. RR -
The only way I have seen that happen is if you had shot one of the bots by mistake and its easy to do. The only fix I know of is to load a save from before the oops moment.

I am having the same issue. I am using Firefox and when I try to load the Nexus it just hangs at a white screen until I hit the Reload button. It happens 100% of the time when first opening the Nexus. Does not happen quite all the time, when using a link to a mod after Nexus loads the first time, but I would say 90% of the time. I have tried everything to fix the issue. Cleared cookies, cleared the cache, etc. I'm wondering if this isn't related to the change to the new ad provider. Seems like it started at the same time that change was made.

Castle basement turned into viable player home
Khalifrio replied to Ginox7's topic in Fallout 4's Mod Ideas
I like this idea. I would like to see the same done to Vault 111 only add in a faster way in and out besides the existing elevator. -
Yeah what a lazy ass! Oh wait, that's me. I'm still a few days away from posting my craftable paintings retexture. There's only 20 craftable paintings in total, so I'm having a tough time choosing the best of the best of the best to use. There are 23 abstract paintings, sitting unused. So if someone could make those craftable ... well that'd really be something. I've become a huge fan of the Business Settlements mod. I really should ask if he'd be cool with me retexturing ~20 of his posters and billboards, promoting his mod on my page and offering my texture patch as an optional download. But ... There's still tons of posters, Propaganda (sic), billboards, and the abstract paintings that remain uncraftable. So we wait. The oxen is slow, but the Earth is patient. LOL, I wasn't trying to imply your lazy, or an ass for that mater. Just doing my imitation of the impatient kid on Christmas eve waiting on Santa. Oh, thanks for the link to Business Settlements. I had some how missed that mod and it looks great.

I am using two mods to get more variety in the paintings and replacers for all around the game world. Well the variety might be limited to sexy women but its an improvement over the cats and one dog selection. This one will get more variety around the game world. I just wish the mod author would make a version that lets you place these in settlements like the craftable pictures. Pinups of the Wasteland by sardonumspa http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4467/? Then there is this one for placeable pictures. Since the game is set in a 1950's era world it wouldn't be much of a stretch to be able to place some decals on my Power armor chest plates similar to the nose art found on WW2 bombers.

When I am out exploring or running missions I tend to leave my Pipboy radio off so I can hear whats going on around me. I like to hear the conversations between NPC bad guys. Plus I listen for turret sounds and foot steps so I don't just blindly turn a corner and get blasted. However, when I am at home crafting or just hanging out I like to have the radio on. To save having to mess around with my Pipboy every time I return home I have placed radios all over my home base. That works, except for the fact each radio only tunes into one station. I now have mods that have added or replaced all the music on Diamond City Radio, the Classical station, and Radio Freedom. So if I am in the mood for a different channel I have to place yet another set of radios. Not very practical at all. What I would like to see is either a radio that you can change the station on. Even better yet is to turn said radio into a base station and then be able to build speakers that you can place all over your settlement. The speakers would broadcast what ever radio station your base station is tuned to at the time. Not sure how this could be done. Might have to be tied into a terminal and force it to act like the radio module from the Pipboy some how.

While that mod solves the problem for the Hearthfire homes it doesn't do a thing for mod homes. If it does I totally overlooked it reading the description. I found a work around for my problem. I downloaded Jaxonz Positioner mod and visited Raven Rock and a mod home that had a shrine to Nocturnal. Using Jaxonz mod I just make copies and placed them in my home that was lacking them.

I would love to see Placeable Statics type of mod that is geared towards your picking your favorite home, including mod homes, then move the home or placing a copy of it any where in the game that catches your fancy. For example I like Breezehome Fully Upgradeable but I get tired of living in Whiterun. With a mod like this I could go to some where quieter like Falkreath and have my Breezehome mod home available to live in on the spot I chose to set it. Probably not possible but it would be neat to put your favorite home on your favorite plot of land.

I would like to see a mod that lets you buy and then place all the shrines found in Skyrim. Not just the Nine Divines, but also the Daedric shrines (Nocturnal, Azura, Boethiah, and Mephala) and Auriel's shrine. Once bought you could take them to your home, mod or vanilla, and place them on a shelf and use them to get the blessings. As far as that goes you could use a mod like Placeable Statics to put them where ever you want. Maybe set it up so the Khajiit caravans would be the ones to sell them. This would be a convenience for those with house mods located in the wilds or out of the way places that do not include any shrines.

Well now, it looks like there are some really nice house mods out there that I have totally missed out on. I will be spending the day downloading and testing out some new homes. Some of those Dwarven themed homes look nice but I'm not a fan of Dwarven architecture or the thought of sleeping on a bed made of stone. Some of the mentioned homes I have tried out in the past and gave up on them for various reasons. I'm not a fan of large to extra large homes you can get lost in. I prefer something medium sized or smaller. Cozy with room for Smithing, Enchanting, decent amount of storage, and room for at least one follower with room for up to three followers is a bonus. The one other thing I look for is shrines. Its hit or miss if house mod has all of the nine divines shrines. Fewer yet include the Nocturnal shrine (bonus to sneak which I use a lot). I have yet to find any house mod that includes the shrines added to the game by Dragonborn. You folks have given me some new homes to check out, keep them coming!

I spent a good part of today just browsing through house mods looking for anything that might catch my eye. I found a few possibilities. In the process I got to wondering just what people considered their top 5 house mods. Here is my list. 1. Breezehome Fully Upgradable by Sku11M0nkey 2. Leaf Rest (Version 2.3.1) by Aukmat 3. The Lucky Skeever of Solitude (no basement version) by sa547 4. The Riften Garret by sa547 5. Solitude - The Tower of the Wolf by sa547 I have one more that I use as an interim solution until I can purchase Breezehome, if that is the home I am going to use for that particular play through. Call it number 6 if you want. Classic little bridgeden in Whiterun by cucucar.
