  1. Closing this issue, I have found out that it is a problem with the animation itself and cannot be fixed without changing the animation. Oh well xD

  3. Okay so I've been toying around with HDT physics and have encountered a side issue with the hands on the CBBE body. I'm assuming it's a skeleton issue, but I hope I'm wrong as I have XP32's skeleton installed and don't want to have to replace it...I'm sure a lot of XPMS users would agree xD Anyway, the attached images show what I'm seeing (WARNING-NSFW)

Okay, so I downloaded and installed SoS (Schlongs of Skyrim) some time ago and it worked great, but now I am running into a lot problem with the bodies meshes of some dead npc's disappearing shortly after being looted. I've studied the issue and have found these facts: -it's not caused by uninstalled meshes/textures, the bodies appear as normal for a second or two -I do not believe it is due to load order as I have tried all load order combinations that I can think of -I have deactivated all mods not relating to the mod in question and tested to find the the problem persists even then, even reinstalling SoS doesn't fix the issue -only SOME npc's are affected by the disappearance of theier body meshes with no apparent link between affected entities - ex. npc-A and npc-B are of the same race/faction/type-- when looted npc-A unequips all appropriate items and shortly after, the body mesh disappears leaving the head, hands, feet, and gentitals-- when looted npc-B unequips all appropriate items and the body mesh remains unaffected I cannot, for the life of me figure this out. If anyone has any insight to how to fix this I would greatly appreciate it. For now I will continue to search for a fix myself and will return with a solution as well as any additional details.   5. I think it has something to do with the files in the SKSE file, I installed a mod sometime later that replaced one of the files in that folder and it worked fine after that. I wish I knew which file it was so someone else could fix similar problems but mine is fixed now.
  6. I'm returning to Skyrim and modding of Skyrim after about a year and have rediscovered the headache that modding can be at times. The big one that I cannot seem to find a solution for is this: While playing the game, I have found that I cannot look up or down when running or while any weapons are drawn. Also when I begin to run or when I draw my weapon, the camera shifts to point straight ahead and won't allow me to make any y-axis movement. Now I have searched Google as well as the Nexus for a solution for this and all I could find were solutions regarding a bug caused by a patch some time back but alas, these solutions did not prove fruitful for me. However, through some expert troubleshooting, courtesy of my magnificent brain (okay, to be honest I just randomly stumbled across this) I found that the problem is caused by the Skyrim Script Extender, and it doesn't appear to be caused by any mods that may require the launcher. Playing the game normally, the problem does not exist, but the moment I start it up via the SKSE Launcher, the problem returns and might as well display a giant troll face splashed across my screen. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Is there any solutions that could be offered to me? I look forward to any insight regarding this issue, thanks in advance :)
  7. If you are still having this problem, I also hod the same "stature on skates" problem when I loaded dawnguard as well as many missing models in-game. I shut down my computer and restarted it and upon signing in to Steam, it proceeded to update skyrim...and after that, Dawnguard worked perfectly. So try restarting Steam and update Skyrim again. ...DAMN STEAM! DAMN IT TO A DARKER FATE THAN HELL!
  8. I'm wanting to start a mod that adds a crossbow to the game with its own model. Can anyone point me to a tutorial that shows how to do this? anything I have found has been too vague to really follow having little to no experience with creating new weapons. Any help will be much appreciated

  10. Okay you said import those nifs into max, would it work to open them in NifSkope and export them as obj and then import them into 3ds max? Every time I try to import a nif into max it says something along the lines of String to long, is not a nif or unsupported. Also your problem is something that has to be done in NifSkope. I havent done it yetbut I've seen the answer around in the forums. If I remember correctly, its the dismemberskininstance. I think you have to make sure that the number to the left of it (in the block list) needs to be the same for both _0 and _1 nifs of the armor. You might wanna look that up first tho im not exactly sure.
  11. I have been searching online for tutorials in armor creation but none of them work for me or seem to be made for someone creating custom armor from scratch. In this example, I'm trying to make a new helmet. I have a mesh and a test UV, I can get the mesh AND the texture to show up in NifSkope by the standard imorting of the file as a .obj into an existin .nif and have attached it to the appropriate bone. Yet when I try to apply it in the CK, the program crashes. I have also tried replacing a preexisting helmet mesh with mine, and it shows up as invisible. Steps taken: create mesh export as obj run NifSkope open existing vanilla helmet import new mesh change appropriate values for texturing and attaching to head bone I am using 3ds max 2010,latest update of NifSkope with throttlekitty's xml, and Gimp. Any help in this would be most appreciated not by just me but many people as well seeing as I cant be the only one having problems in this area.

  13. Alright then, im sitting here smoking a cigarette and it dawns on me, the answer is simple. I haven't tested this yet but it has to be this. If anyone else is having this problem, go to the section where you select which parts of the body the helm covers, deselect the face, it should fix the invisible faces. Gonna try this in a bit, will post the result later.
  14. Okay so I thought I would take up a request in the mid request forum which includes swithing the stormcloak armor for draugr armor. Everything has worked out well enough except for the helmet. At first all I got was stormcloaks with no heads, but after toying around with the ck I got the helmets to appear but the actors have invisible faces. Anyone have any idea what to do? I'm continuing to to toy around with it in hopes of finding a fix but if someone finds it first please post.
  15. Sooo.... You're wanting the stormcloak armor to be changed to ancient nord armor with the female helmet... That right? If so that should be a simple bit of work in the ck. I can go ahead and start working on it though.

  17. My bad, yeah blender can't handle Skyrim .nifs what I recommend is using nifskope, open your working skyrim .nif then export as an .obj. open the .obj in any version of blender. Edit it. now export as an .obj. now in .nifskope open your working skyrim .nif again, import the .obj and there you go :D you'll have to change the settings and put the .obj editing into the hiarchy and such but once you do that it will work. here is a guide to importing the .obj http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/469935-modding-skyrim-with-tessnip-and-nifskope/ Yeah I saw that in another recent thread but the extra info you have provided has been most helpful. Its not something I would expect for someone to actually look at these threads for other people's problems yet we always get a quick response when we post for help, the mod community is simply awesome.   18. Yes I try to import rather than open it in Blender. The one time I got everything installed without a hitch, the .nif option doesn't show up. Thanks for the attention tho.
  19. Okay I've been following the tutorials on creating custom armor but I cant even get past installing Blender with the Nif scripts. Most cases I get it installed but with no ability to recognize .nif in Blender. I hesitate to say this but I guess I might as well accept the fact that I need someone to walk me through this and hold my hand in a step by step instruction. All I need to know is: What to install What version needs to be installed What order do I install it in. I would very much appreciate any help with this I am seriously at a loss for what I should do. I got it to work with Oblivion and Fallout 3 but now things are not running as smoothly for me as they did then.
  20. This started up this morning with no obvious reason why. I have not installed any new mods between saving and loading, it just started out of no-where. Not only does she teleport to me rather that walk she will sometimes just stay still and keep her vision aligned to my location. I tried loading at an earlier point in the game and that worked for a while but then she started moving faster and faster until she was back to teleporting. anyone have any idea whats going on?
  21. The ini was already checked and checking "can be all races" didn't work either. I have heard about making the esp an esm but i cant find a straight answer as to how to do that. lets hope a solution comes about, and thank you both for the help.
  22. Okay I know this is a common problem and I don't know if its the lack of sleep or what that is keeping me from finding an already existing solution. The problem is that I went in and changed the face of Rose of Sharon Cassidy and now the skin complexion between her head and her body doesn't match up, I know there's gonna be a neck seam but this is a blatant difference in skin coloration. Anyone know whats up with this? Everything matched up fine before I made the changes.
  23. Well I uninstalled the game and reinstalled and everything works fine, dont know what went wrong with the first 3 times of reinstalling but its fixed now, thanks for the help.
  24. Yeah, I've tried deactivating all of my mods and then running the game but it still didn't work. But I'm gonna try the solutions you gave me, will update if anything works/doesnt work, thank you.
