In EW it is fairly trivial to get alien containment and arc throwers up and running very early. The actual captures are not so trivial but as far as strategy overhead goes it isn't a big deal. In LW everything is a big deal so I'm wondering if more experienced players prefer to invest their research time and money elsewhere during the initial months of the game. Or do they still do xenobiology and xenoneurology as the initial choices to scoop up the research credits? What do your initial tech picks look like?
