Dawnguard - Serana chick the new Lydia?
Rhutobello replied to nofear88's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Is it not so that the one we love at most, is the one we complain most on..............................because we believe he/she is perfect..................and none are........."except me".....hmmmmfffrrr :) (just kidding though :) ) -
Personally I think you will have a better experience with Downguard if you start a new game...from fresh. Experience what they have put in....and if you later want to try out some of the other mod....don't put them in all at once...but one by one with some playingtime between. BUT!...before you put in any of these mods....save you game...and make a notice....and do the same each time you put in new mods....then you have a point to go back to if it start to get fuzzy :) ......and be very restrictive if you use console command.....or cheat command....

Is Dawnguard for PC Pretty Much Unusable?
Rhutobello replied to David Brasher's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Just a thought... If something CDT after almost regular intervals, can it maybe be something else then the program itself that do it? can it maybe be a backgrounds program? Do you have something like ""Whitesmoke"" running...or a program that index thing....try to close them down if you have. ....and when you say Vanilla game....I assume it is then from a fresh start....not from a savegame that still contain old information. -
Is Dawnguard for PC Pretty Much Unusable?
Rhutobello replied to David Brasher's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
When a modder create a mod..he/she has a firm engine to work with....he/she can try it out....and when it work he/she can release it. When a Game creator make a mod...he has everything to his disposition....and he can change everything...because it will be an upgrade on the official game itself.......it will therefor be new routines...and so on. Even if Beth have released a CK they can't make their "mod" compatible with everything created....the CK is given free...you can play with it...you can create with it....but if new things arrive that makes the first obsolete...no one can complain...we have had our fun....I am not saying that none mod can work with DG....but if they don't work....well then it is to remove or upgrade. No...from all the complains...few have started a new game.......but in fact...shall you have a valid complain toward a official release...then you have to play it clean of anything else...which in most cases will be to start from scratch :) -

Rhutobello replied to David Brasher's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
As a modder you should know that some mod conflict, or make strange behavior on other. The game you have paid for is Skyrim and DG....this is the official release....and if you want to evaluate them, you need to play them clean of anything else. If you put in something else then the official, then you can never know if the official is buggy or if it is the mod that create the havoc. This happen all the time with the free mod, and it is nothing more strange when it happen when you have several mods combined with DG. It can't be so that Beth need to investigate every mod created, and then make a mod that can take everything into account....play what you have bought...put in little by little and see if it works....that is what I try to do. Many Modders are mad on players that complain that their created mod damage their games.....maybe this is the same case? Said in general since it seems a lot of people have problems....I say in no way that DG is bug free.......but I think many are unfair toward it. -
Since I am almost 70 i hope I am mature enough. I have read a lot about the buggy Skyrim pc version, and all the CDT it creates. I think I( and most other) must have got a premium copy delivered, because I haven't seen most of these problems after nearly 1000 hours. I don't say there aren't bugs.....but for me....and my playingstyle...it has function. I have had some strange behaviors.....but with closer inspections it has been due to backgrounds programs running on the pc....especially if you have programs that want to help you, and stay seeking the HD for this. DG is buggy.....well I haven't bought DG yet....but here is what I figure out; Downguard is a official product...the only thing Bet take into consideration is Skyrim and its engine. They put in new items, monsters, routines and so on And You Buy The Game. In order to evaluate it regarding bug you need to play it as a vanilla Skyrim , and now with a mod called DG.......nothing else then what is official....then you can tell what is buggy and what is not. It is not the official paid release that destroy your other mods.....it is just so that your other """free"" mods aren't compatible with the official game, and must be updated.

I am not sure I can point out what is wrong, because it might be something else then the list, if you have had mods installed, removed them and still play from the same save file....but but :) What i would try out is to remove some of your Dragons mods.....I see you have 3 of them (when you include levelers), and that might create conflict. If it is not these, then you have to experiment....remove..load...zone a couple of times... if CDT...remove another....load the same game...not the one which is created when zoning....and do until you find a stable play. If you aren't to far into the game, I rather recommend a new start ....then take those mods that have shown themselves as stable....play....and each time you want to add a mod...make a savegame and write it up....then you are able to go back if it later show up error messages. It is Not Skyrim or any mods fault....it is all our own fault....we want to much....and then we must try to figure out what conflict.....most of the time it will be written on the mods site....but the combination of mods, combined with savegames are almost unlimited so it can never give the exact answer :)

If you use Nexus Mod Manager, or Steam workshop...then they are able to install and activate the mod for you....(with nexus mod manager you hit download with manager...when downloaded..you mark the mod and choose activate...then the manager do the rest....in steam...you mark the file you want...or you subscribe it...then it will be updated when new files arrive....the mod is installed after you start the game from steam lib.....remember if you use Skyrim script extender to exist the game after steam has installed the mod, and then start the game from the script extender.

Unkown visual glitch. Please help.
Rhutobello replied to johnnyturbo87's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I think you have installed a mod...or removed one....and by that you have got missing meshes, these will then pop up mostly as triangles or color palettes...but the graphic missing. This happen when you allow a mod to overwrite something...which aren't expected when you upgrade the mod.....then you might get missing objects......I have had some of them myself......and mostly I had to make a new install of the game....and be more careful in the future. But again...it might be something else if you did not allow for such a thing. -
I am not sure what cause your error...But..I recommend you to remove both Sound of Skyrim mods. It seems they had some unwanted behavior, and the creator, from what I have understood, working on it. It is also best to go to the data folder, when you have removed them, and delete any instances of them that still stand.
-
Well...I just installed the above mod myself, and it seems working all right. I had cleaned out some mods, and would try some other....so I started a new game....... Maybe some of the armor need higher skill before they pop up....I don't know for sure....but I have found several different armor types on those Bandits I have killed...and even Guards in Whitrun carry some new armor. After all...the mod just give the item list new objects to select from.

The Skyrim Nexus site works strangely slow
Rhutobello replied to Nns218's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Hmm...maybe I just did that.....maybe it is You who still sit there......when did it become shame to point out the obvious?) -
I don't think you understand the complexity of your question.......It would be alright if we all had exactly same configuration on our PC...and the exact same mods....then we could exchange information between us. Few or none have this, so the problem will always stay on the computer that produce it....if you have followed the instruction given from the creator....and it don't work....then maybe the mod aren't for you..because you have something else that interfere..it is as simple as that. A story... A farmer bought for the first time a Donkey, and got the message it could carry some weight. The farmer put on a sack with potatoes...and the Donkey carried it nice...ohh said the Farmer...if you carry that one you might carry one more...and it did....the farmer was happy and put on more sacks....at the end the Donkey broke its back and died. Was it the Donkeys fault. the sacks fault..or was it the farmers fault?

The Skyrim Nexus site works strangely slow
Rhutobello replied to Nns218's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Hmmm....in fact it is more good for you....or should we say....for us all :) Even if free is very nice, no one can live from it......no one can go on and on for free....they need to see that they do something that is worth something to others....else they burn out. Server and internet services are not free......it cost money....and not to mention all the working hours that goes into the running and developing of the site.....yea...some of it is paid by the adds....But what about You and You...and You....how often do you contribute for free for other....or how often have you given kudos to a mod designer and even given him/her a donation? I can assure you that it will give inspiration......just put yourself in their shoe....and feel the feelings :) Said in general.....since I, together with most of the members just want...want....that was what I tried to change for myself :) -
I don't use any of these mods....BUT do you read the instructions when you look for a mod.....have you downloaded what the creator said`? copy and paste from Ashara romatic mods description; NOTES: 1. This is a texture mod only, so you need to get the original one by SydneyB http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=5577 2. The corset clips through the skirt in some pics because of the idle replacer I'm using. 3. The stockings are not part of this mod, and no, I couldn't take those off when taking pictures for they are part of the body texture itself. 4. Lacking better male pictures, BECAUSE, I don't have any male saves.

I want; I want...I want :) Well, we don't always get what we want here in life....and if so....then we have to choose between what we get. The game tells you that you have got a conflict. It is NOT A FAULT FROM THE GAME:::::IT IS NOT A FAULT FROM THE MOD::::::IT IS ONLY YOU WHO HAVE A MOD INSTALLED THAT USE SAME INFORMATION::::AND THEN THE GAME BECOME CONFUSED AND CDT IS THE WAY OUT: It will be your task to find out what conflict..... because it is you who have all the information.....and as you said....the game works without these mods....so maybe that is the easy way out :)

Skyrim Crash after AddOn Install - Modlist
Rhutobello replied to unoxknusper's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
It seems to me that you have some mods that don't work so great together.....they don't need to be faulty in itself...but when one run them together they might create havoc on the game. If Skyrim CDT even if there is no mods activated and you try to start a new game, then you must have allowed a mod to overwrite Skyrim's own files....and I think the only way will be to delete and reinstall......if you do that....be sure after uinstall to go to your game folder and delete everything there, you might also go to my documents/games where skyrim saves its game and delete the ini file there.....or maybe try to delete those first and then try to start a clean Skyrim. the game will then manke new ini files. Many complain on Skyrim itself, or on the mod makers when such thing happen.....but in fact there is only one to blame...the one who installed the mod :) Since Skyrim have a special way to save, even removing all your mods and then loading a game might create havoc on a later point, because the savegames still have info from these missing mods. If you have an earlier savegame then you can try out this.... Deactivate all mods that have the same purpose....so as "quest mods" house mods" "magic mods" and so on(btw...do you have ""Sound of ........" installed...then these has been known to make error in savegames...and is recommended to remove totally. Now start your earlier savegame....(but don't save over it again)...walk a bit around...in and out of zones so it must load a new. If no problem....activate a new mod....load the same game and do it all over again do the same again until you get the error....then you """""might"""" have found what mod conflict with another mod....BBBUUUTTT! the MOD itself is not FAULTY....it just conflict....and you have to choose between them. If you have found a modlist that function for you....I recommend to start a new game....then you will be more safe that you don't get havoc later.....before you install another mod....always save the game so you can go back to this point if it later show error.....always remember to look in your data folder if you remove a mod that it also has vanish from this folder. Good luck :) -

The Skyrim Nexus site works strangely slow
Rhutobello replied to Nns218's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Well....I have done a bit of dl yesterday, and in several days before....but can't see I experienced what here is told. I assume you all know that the speed is reduced when you have dl a certain amount inside a day......not sure that is the case. But speed cost money....speed need equipment.....so maybe one should contribute to the site before one started to complain.....that was why I did so yesterday :) -
nexus mod manager problem + game crash|emergency
Rhutobello replied to p0ip0i1574's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
You remove NMM just like any other program....in your control panel in windows....it is a bit different from each windows profile....but I recommend you to find it :) In W7 hit start (windows icon down left when no other program is running) then find Control panel on the right page that pop up...then you will find several options find the one.."remove programs" If you have a genuine "paid" version of Skyrim....then you need to install it through Steam....because Steam is the security software for the game. If you haven't, then you run a cracked version...and no...you can't run it through Steam. because you need the valid key. If you have bought it...steam was installed when you ran setup....or if you had steam from before...it opened up and did the install. -
I am not sure I give the right clue......but if the mods stay as activated in the launcher....then I think they also will be in the game, because the Launcher only display the mod if it find the x.esp or x.esm files for the mods. Some mods will only bee seen when you hit what they shall produce, so you can't see them at once. Be also aware that if any mods builds on Skyrim script extender, then you must install this one...and LAUNCH the game from it...and not from any other launcher (NMM or Steam)....if you have used Steam workshop and sub some files...then you must start Skyrim from steam....when it comes to the first screen..steam will download or update the mods.(only those sub through steam)..when finish...exit...and start from the script extender. Good luck :)

nexus mod manager problem + game crash|emergency
Rhutobello replied to p0ip0i1574's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Seems to me that you have been very unlucky. I recommend that you go to your control panel (on your pc) and remove any instances of the mod manager there...do the same for the lite version you used. Start Skyrim from lib in steam....then choose datafiles....then choose reset to original. Exit skyrim Go to the path you have Skyrim installed....C:/Programfiles/steam/steamapp/common/skyrim...and in/data Now look for any files that contain the name you deleted/uinstalled and delete them You can now try to start Skyrim, and when it tells you that stuff is missing...just accept and go on....then when loaded you can save it again....and it should bee clean.....BUT....you never know for sure.....so I recommend to start from scratch, because even if it look fine at once...it might make problems later. I more recommend that you make sure you have get rid of what you have put in beside Skyrim,...then install Nexus mod manager.....there should be no error messages....and use the installer...it will find the right path. Then use the NMM to install the mods....and you should be fine.....I can't see there should have been any conflicts with those mods you have installed so far. Good luck. -
Mods activated but no data files mshow on Skyrim start page
Rhutobello replied to NamVet's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Hmm, sound very strange. I assume you have installed the mod's through nexus mod manager, which will put the files where they should go, so then I don't know what is faulty. IIf you have done it manual, then maybe you have done something wrong, and the esm or esp files is in main game folder instead of data folder. There might also be mods which need to download esm or esp beside the main file....Levelers Tower is one of those....which I had some problem to figure out :) (Very nice work...but it need good self control to not destroy the game by doing it to easy :) ) Also remember that if you install mods that need Skyrim script extender you must start the game from this, and not from Steam launcher :)
