Sadly my mods got messed up really badly by the update, despite everything saying it went over smoothly. But reading the article it sounds like it was a necessary evil, so I don't mind clearing them out completely and reinstalling it all. I'm certainly not gonna take it out on the staff who is only trying to ultimately provide a better product.

Okay, been doing some digging and I've found some weirdness. It seems like for male player characters in Human form, the base texture is 2af03812 and I assume the normal map that goes with it is 3097dafa. The weird thing though, is that editing them only seems to work from the forehead up. I added dots of a bright color on the map's forehead, nose, cheeks and under the chin just to confirm I had the right map, and it showed on the player's forehead but faded as it gets to the eyebrow/eye area and none of the dots I added show beyond that. So I assume it uses some weird stuff with the FaceGen to place the map on the character. The question is, what is it using? I found several other maps that appeared to resemble the male player character (giant eye bags, crow's feet on the eyes and all >.>) but were much smaller, so I assume they are mipmaps. Just to be sure I added dots to those and no dice. So unless I or someone else can figure out where the maps the FaceGen is using as a base come from, I suppose there no saving the faces. :(

Hey, was wondering if anyone has managed to successfully locate the texture and normal maps for the player character (males and females) when in Human form. I want to mod them to make them look younger as they current skew a bit old, especially male characters who look old no matter what you do to them thanks to the base texture giving them so many wrinkles. I've found many textures and tried editing them to see if they change the player character, and they do nothing. So if anyone has found these and wouldn't mind giving me a copy, I would appreciate it.

I would greatly appreciate a copy of the player character Human form face textures and normal maps (male and female), so I could edit them to make your character look less old even at the youngest stage. The crow's feet must die.

I hope someone can figure out how to fix this too. I want to fix up the holes on the Hollow Thief's armor set, but the Hollow Thief's Leather Armor completely resists change of the alpha to remove the giant gaping hole baring your character's torso on one side. Yet weirdly, the Hollow Thief's Tights (which has holes added to them by the exact same trick as the giant hole on the Leather Armor, using alphas on the texture map to hide those portions and thus make holes) can be edited and the holes completely removed, making them look good. Similarly, the sleeves and cape on the Leather Armor CAN be edited and fixed up. It's really annoying. It's one alpha away from being one of the best looking light armors in the game and I can't do anything about it.

Any ideas? I can edit transparency just fine on some gear (like Hollow Thief's Tights, I took the holes out of them), but cannot do the same on others (can't removed the holes from the Hollow Thief's Leather Armor, or edit transparency of certain parts of Chester's Long Coat). I'd really like to fix up the whole Hollow Thief set, so if anyone has any hints on how to accomplish this I would appreciate it.

Guys who play girl characters

Yeah, I'm a guy but I mostly play male characters as my main character too. I make female characters as well, usually as a secondary. -
[Planned] Travel to Cyrodiil Mod
Deleted2039153User replied to Diabolickal's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Yea I that's actually very similar to what we are going to do. Deamonata had came up with the idea of just add Bruma + Cloud Ruler Temple for our "beta". We would simply allow player to travel through the Pale Pass which is directly north of Bruma and the Cloud Ruler Temple. But not allow players to stray too far off the trail/landscape to and from Bruma and the Temple. And disallow player to leave Bruma through any Gates except the North. This would be our "beta", this would get us on the board and get us recognized, and to also build confidence in our audience. Sounds like a great idea to get started. It's a shame that you can't use the voice files from Oblivion without issue, as you could add the more generic speech in and it would make the people living in the towns seem more lively (and not have them talking about Skyrim all of a sudden). -
Got this happening to me too. I heard it might have something to do with not having the Elder Scroll in your inventory (I gave mine to the College for their collection), but I don't know that for sure. Was hoping to not have to kill the guy, is there any other option that will let you finish the quest?

LE slow time increased blocking to evade
Deleted2039153User replied to cheajiwon's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
The slowing of time in the Quick Reflexes perk is actually so that you can use a weapon/shield bash to knock them out of their power attacks. But yes, it would be nice if there was a way to make it longer so you could choose to dodge it, instead. Or even taking it one step further, make it where if you trigger the Quick Reflexes perk you can hit a command to do a cool evasive technique like a sidestep, backstep, sideflip/backflip if your Sneak if high enough, etc. -

LE Nightingale Armor WITHOUT the Cape
Deleted2039153User replied to ebsixl's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Oh nice. Was trying to do it myself but exporting in 3ds max is still kinda funky for Skyrim .nif files. Thanks a lot for doing it. -
There's one that increases the time to 3 or 10 seconds, but I can't seem to find it on the Nexus now. Wonder if it got removed for some reason. I do agree that 5 seconds would be the best.

You're a good person and you should feel good about yourself. Your ideas were awesome too, hopefully someone can make that happen once the Creation Kit comes out.

Other than a few little things, yes I do adore the UI. I love the "space age" font people like to complain about, and the awesome modeled map.
