  1. What did you do to be able to adopt with the console?
  2. So many people aren't fans of the Archmage robes and if I had the faintest idea how to mod Skyrim I'd have done this myself, but can someone mod the Archmage's robes to look like the Destruction robes? (master or expert doesn't matter) I know there are recolors but the Archmages robe clip really bad with Dragon priest masks so I'd rather have them look like the destruction robes (or a sick looking variant of them). Something for modders to think about.
  3. Yea, I think you're right because I reinstalled my mods into a fresh Data folder and no more crashing.
  4. Ok, after almost 3 hours I have reinstalled all my mods individually and left out quite a few. Those are mods I didn't care to reinstall anyhow, so whatever. Here is my mod list where the doors are working. Well, Welke still needs testing but I'm just assuming that if this one is fixed then so is the other.
  5. Right, so I disabled all my mods in Wyre Bash and uninstalled Francesco's mod and still getting CTD. So wth is the problem? Update: I take that back, with a vanilla Data folder (still modified .ini file) I can get through the door. So now the question is what mod might cause this? I guess my only choice is to install each mod individually and figure it out myself. Looking forward to this
  6. I followed everything in your links Tom and I'm still CTD. Here is my new load order: update: So I'm going to say it has nothing to do with Streamline, Skill Diary, and Capesandcloaks because I shut all those off and still the problem persists.
  7. I don't have any mods that alter gas traps, and I don't think its them cause I have been in a few other Alyeid Ruins that had gas traps. I made sure I was using the 3.0.1 version, it said it in the readme that it was indeed 3.0.1. I'll look into both of the links you have provided and get back to you on those. Do you think that IWR might be causing the crash (Or poor FPS cause I have FPS problems when I shouldn't)? Update: So in this outdated thing I shouldn't use my currently installed quest award leveler or this one? http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1353
  8. Hello, so every time I try the enter the Tombs of the Undead in the Alyeid ruin Mackamentain my game CTD's. Here are my Active Mod Files: Don't really know what else to list that would help. It's only at this door that it crashes I haven't had this problem any other time at any other door. Update: Ok, so for some reason I guess I can't enter this other Alyeid ruin. I exited the other one just fine but I can't enter Welke. I don't know maybe it's getting steadly worse. It doesn't make sense because I haven't changed anything and this just started happening. I'll enter the door, shows loading screen stuck at 0% and then it says Oblivion.exe has stopped working and it forces me to close the game
  9. Right you are, I wouldn't have thought that those .cvs files I checked was what was keeping my names from reverting. Thank you so much.
  10. I don't think that is the case because a lot of my other items returned to there original names.
  11. I'm trying to figure out how to undo Names Tweaks that Bash Patch is able to do. For example, I enable a tweak that sorted my inventory items by renaming them with letters or punctuation before the name and the lore friendly names. I however decided I don't like these changes and unticked everything in the Names Tweaks in Bash Patch. However, some of the names didn't revert back to their original names. I want to know how to get these to revert back to vanilla because I have Severe OCD and can't stand Letters and Punctuation marks in front of my items, and I don't like the "Lore" friendly names. To recap: I ticked stuff in the Names Tweaks while rebuilding my Bash Patch, Didn't like it, Unticked everything in the Bash Patch and rebuilt the patch, some stuff didn't revert back to the vanilla names. I want to know how to fix this or how Tweaks Names went about changing the names so I can find that file and either remove it or reset it to vanilla.

  13. I just reinstalled my game cause I screwed something up, which after I learned what mess it up. Anyway I figured out what my problem was, I miss understood what the missing flag meant. thanks for the help. Need to learn to keep my brain turned on.
  14. Basically what u do is that if u implemented any mods that is esm or esp files in your data folder for oblivion: 1. go to wrye bash and select (of course check them all too) all the mods in Mods tab 2. right click and click on mark mergable 3. right click on Batch patch 0.esp and rebuild patch If wrye bash told u to deactivate any mod, press yes because it would be merged with wrye bash once u rebuild patch. 4. Check everything that has source mod/files in them and also the conten. EX: in merge patches, if you have better cites. you check better cities and merge patch together. 5. DO NOT TOUCH any of the tweaks and global stuff unless u know what ur doing. for cobl catalogs and exhaustion is only if u have cobl. check seworld tests if u have shivering isle. for bain installer you have to use it only if any of the mod's readme told u to do it. So I don't have to make bain installers for every mod I get? weird, I just figured from that tutorial that's what you have to do, cause it shows you how to make installers and that's what I was trying to figure out how to do. It worked with UOP and nothing else so far... So, then I just extract the mods to the folders the readme says and then go in Wyre Bash and do what you said. How would I go about uninstalling the mod if I ran into problems?
  15. So I have Wyre Bash and I'm trying to install mods but I don't exactly know what I'm doing (clearly, why else would I post?). So here is the issue, I don't know how to make BAIN installers, I made one of the UOP while following along in this guide: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35230 and that works fine and well but when I tried the same process with any one mod it doesn't work, Bash doesn't show any of the Sub-packages and says X files are missing out of X, i.e. 271/273 in USIP's case. I follow the instructions of that guide exactly the same way while trying to make an installer archive but it doesn't work, nor does it work when I just make an archive that is simple (Textures, Meshes are the top of the Archive). Does anyone know the cause of this? edit: I'm using winRAR and I make the archives into .rar files
  16. Finally finished my Oblivion install to C:\Games\Steam\Steamapps\common folder and I have to say I'm glad I did, not only can I obviously get to the menu but I don't crash on exit anymore. :D Well, I'm off to figuring out Wyre Bash and BAIN and installing all my mods one at a time. It's likely you might see another topic crop up from me in the future if I screw something up again, but as of now I can do things on my own again and now I know what not to do. Thanks a lot for your help.
  17. Ok, I'll uncheck that and try and figure out what OBGEv3 is. Yea, I'm doing fine aside from the fact my can CTD before it opens, lol. Don't worry about it though, I uninstalled it and moved my steam install to a folder outside Program Files, following the instructions from one of the guides in your sig. As soon as the steam servers will let me reinstall Oblivion I'll hopefully have a working Vanilla game to backup and begin remodding. I'll edit this post if things go south. Is there a guide or something that can teach me how to use Bash/BAIN and preferably not 1,000,000 pages long?
  18. Ok, well there was no entry. What do I need to be doing in Bash? now that it works. Edit: No, that's the fun of digital downloading I guess :/ no discs or nothing
  19. Steam was installed to the default folder, that being Program files(x86) which from what I was reading is a bad idea in Oblivion's case, so if I'm going to reinstall Oblivion I may as well just move it outside of Program Files to prevent UAC screwing with whatever it does. Yes, I'm using BOSS 1.8 so I'll see if I can find a download to the older version. Funny, I thought the modding community was dead for this game and that nobody really played Oblivion anymore, I guess I was wrong and that's a good thing. How would I go about uninstalling BOSS properly as to not screw myself harder then I have already. Another thing I'm curious about is if you think by installing Bash we can somehow get this game to stop CTD before it has a chance to open. Especially since it's impossible (as far as my knowledge goes) to revert this game back to vanilla because I used BSA alteration several times in the past so all my BSA's are nowhere close to vanilla. If reinstalling would be an easier solution and then just installing Bash and BOSS instead of OBMM from the start then I'm willing to do that. I don't know, I'm new with this whole thing and you clearly seem like you know what you're doing so I'll just let you tell me what to do. Edit: Hey! look at that, I yanked out the BOSS folder and Bash opened. I accidentally deleted my Spell tomes DLC, how can I recover/redownload that?
  20. Oh, ok. Let me just try and get bash going. I tried disabling all my mods except Fran's mod and the UOP's while I was waiting on your response to see if that would work. It didn't  Edit: Got an error when trying to open the Bash.exe standalone edition.. Traceback (most recent call last): File "Wrye Bash Launcher.pyw", line 31, in <module> File "bash.pyo", line 311, in main File "basher.pyo", line 15386, in InitLinks File "basher.pyo", line 14297, in InitStatusBar IndexError: tuple index out of range Traceback (most recent call last): File "Wrye Bash Launcher.pyw", line 31, in <module> File "bash.pyo", line 311, in main File "basher.pyo", line 15386, in InitLinks File "basher.pyo", line 14297, in InitStatusBar IndexError: tuple index out of range I swear I'm a few seconds short of F this and reinstalling the game in a different location if steam allows it. Then trying to mod that version were everything is hopefully fresh.
  21. I didn't understand if you wanted me to do something, it sounded like you were talking to yourself, I did already enable BSA redirection. Now you're talking about a Skip OBSE plug-in setting which I don't know for what program and where to find it. We are still in OBMM? edit: Hmm, I just realized that I forgot to copy over my Spell tomes DLC BSA and esp.... Could that have something to do with the current problem. No.. I got to the menu before without it. How would I go about getting that back...?
  22. All of what mods? Did you regenerate the Oblivion.ini, the file in the My Games\Oblivion folder? Did you turn on BSA Redirection in OBMM Utilities > Archive Invalidation? I don't think any of that would contribute to a CTD there, not installing QTP3 either. What else did you install? --Tomlong54210 Wasn't aware I needed to regenerate the Oblivion.ini, I'll set it to BSA redirection, what if I was using alteration the whole time? I'll go try both of those and come back, if the problem isn't solved I'll list all my active mods. Oh, I forgot about that. BSA Alteration alters the original BSAs. Plenty of reasons to not use that feature... I hope...no. I wonder if you need to use the Reset BSA Timestamps function. That has nothing to do with the crashes, but ...forget about that for now. It's in the same menu as the BSA Redirection feature. You can use it whenever, but it's better to use that before adding mods (which may add other BSAs). --Tomlong54210 So what am I supposed to do? edit: I've read in places that having oblivion installed in Program Files (x86) can cause problems... I wonder if that might be a part of the problem.. At this point I don't care what I have to do to get this game working again.

Mods currently installed: UOP, UMODP, USIP, and supplements Alive water Better SoW Color map mod Fast Exit 2 HGEC Body replacer IFT 21 Illumination within revived + IWR Optimized Legion Horse Armor (which I don't even know if its installed right) Lift Detect (gives LD a red blur) Landscape LOD replacements Natural Envirnments Natural Weather Quest Award Leveling Realistic Water Symphony of Violence Francesco's Leveled Creatures-Items BTmod I don't understand what the problem is, I had all these installed prior to making my Data folder vanilla again. I used OBMM because I couldn't figure out how to install Wyre Bash. I also cleaned the mods BOSS said to clean.
  24. Ok, so I reinstalled all my mods except QTP3 and now Oblivion CTD before the loading screen shows up (I have intro movies off). wtf.... edit: For the record I could get to the main menu prior to installing all the mods.
  25. Yes, I just followed these instructions http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Revert_to_vanilla_data That program looks like a real pain in the ass to learn how to use and install...
