Or run them through the Creation Kit and change them yourself.

I suspect it is because some people say it helps and others say it does not. That would make it controversial.

I did the .ini tweaks as well before getting rid of the corruption in my setup. If it's because of that alone, or the million different mod setups I've tried, I will never know. But the .ini tweaks stays. After all, I am running a much more script heavy setup now than when I first got the corruption. I am not even able to force it anymore. Also just a note on the tweaks posted by ebkidd; People are aware that there are minor errors in the code, right? I thought it was fairly obvious, but still. This is how it should look: EDIT: uExterior Cell Buffer=36 is supposed to have spaces for some weird reason. See http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Skyrim_INI/General#uExterior_Cell_Buffer [General] sLanguage=ENGLISH uGridsToLoad=5 uExterior Cell Buffer=36 bPreemptivelyUnloadCells=0 iPreloadSizeLimit=4194304000 bUseHardDriveCache=1 bUseBackgroundFileLoader=1 bSelectivePurgeUnusedOnFastTravel=1 uStaticNeverFade=1 iPostProcessMillisecondsLoadingQueuedPriority=5 bForceFullLOD=1If you are on a system with 16GB of RAM or more, use this: iPreloadSizeLimit=8388608000 Thanks for the correction. I use: uExterior Cell Buffer=64

This looks very promising. I am looking forward to see if this does the trick for Gothpunk4Chist. I am now at 170 plugins, 430 mods and 35000 strings (Down from 240 plugins and 38000 strings). It seems I have been able to get a stable running system without any corruption after 90 minutes (Which also includes crafting and talking to several vendors. This used to be a total no-go for me). I have been playing trough the same testing route on a new game that previously would result in corruption after about 20-40 minutes without crafting. Hopefully the .ini tweak works, as I have had to disable a lot of mods I would very much like to keep in my load order. Current Setup: https://modwat.ch/u/Archet1337 I have 32GB RAM, would that mean I should use iPreloadSizeLimit=16777216000 ? I also have 32 GB RAM, I am using 8388608000 and so far it works for me.

Try changing or adding the following lines in your Skyrim.ini [General] sLanguage=ENGLISH / (English for me, what ever language you use for you.) uGridsToLoad=5 uExterior Cell Buffer= 36 bPreemptivelyUnloadCells=0 iPreloadSizeLimit= 4194304000 / (for systems with 8GB or more of RAM, you can multiply it x2 for 16gb operational Ram systems) bUseHardDriveCache=1 / (set to 0 if you have normal, "old" hard drive) bUseBackgroundFileLoader=1 bSelectivePurgeUnusedOnFastTravel=1 uStaticNeverFade=1 iPostProcessMillisecondsLoadingQueuedPriority=5 bForceFullLOD=1 The standard preload size is iPreloadSizeLimit= 262144000 So how much is it actually allocating? Well it is simple : divide it by 1024 to get number of kB, and then divide again by 1024 to get MB. So it is only 250Mb . Not very much. Does it work? It seem to work for me. I have over 380 mods, 233 plugins, and over 39,000 strings. Make sure to make a save of your INI file so if it doesn't work for you, you will have a fall back.

If it is the engine not being capable of handling the load could it be because the engine is resource poor?

If you are having the false corrupt problem and are using the following mods: UNP Blessed Body SE UNP Blessed Body Fit Armors and Clothing The Book of UUNP Volumes 1 2 and 3 - UNP - Sevenbase - UNPB Try taking them out of your mod list and see if you are still getting the false corrupt problem.

I have added Falskaar and Realistic Conversations. I played it for over 2 hours with no problem. The number of beginning strings is just under 38,000. I am up to level 23.

Here is a list of my mods. The list is out of MO2 so it is in reverse order. Also, I have added AFT which upped my starting string number to 37224. I then played for over 3 hours with no problems.

I played for almost 3 hours with no problems. In case anyone is wondering I would call this a medium grade PC at best. It is a laptop with a Intel i7-4710HQ running at 2.5 GHz. It has 32 GB of ram. It has a NVIDIA 870M with 3 GB of VRAM.

I have increased my mod number to 307 and the number of plugins to 190 which includes a Bashed Patch. The number of starting strings has edged up 35700 or so. I also included Skyrim SE re-engaged ReShade into the mix. I played for over a hour after getting my build to that point and got to level 20. I had to shut it down to eat. I will try playing more this evening.

That would be nice.

Many Followers are script heavy and add a lot of strings. Sofia and Recorder are two which do not. Many unofficial DCLs are script heavy and add a lot of strings. The Forgoten City and Beyond Reach are two which do not. I have added mods to my build and am now up to 300 mods and 182 plugins with no problems so far. My starting string size is around 35,500.
-
It seems to add about 1500 to the starting number of strings.

Here is a list of mods which are script heavy. You can see the number of strings on the end of the name. That is the number of strings it adds as a starting point. I am running 286 mods with 165 plugins. The number of starting strings is 35,483 which gives me a good cushion of almost 30,000 strings. I started a game and am up to level 10 and one setting I played for 2.5 hours with no problem. Ambriel - The Lost Princess (Fully Voiced and Quest) SE - 309 Alternate Start - Live Another Life Patch - 104 Amazing Follower Tweaks SSE (Dheuster's Original) -390 My Home is Your Home - 251 Wet and Cold - 261 Bring Out Your Dead - 244 Run For Your Lives - 163 When Vampires Attack - 168 Campfire - 131 Followers can Relax - 100 Falskaar - 220 Gray Fox Cowl - 122 Hartmere Isle - 100 Vilja in Skyrim - 298 Bathing Beauties or Beefcake - Luxury Suite - 201 Notice board - 230 Undeath - 122 Unread Books Glow - 104 Wet and Cold - 262 Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim - 125 I think if you keep the number of strings you start the game with down around 35,000 you will be alright. You can run ReSaver to see how many strings a save has.

Here is a list of mods and how many strings they start out with. Alternate Start - Live Another Life Patch - 104 Amazing Follower Tweaks SSE (Dheuster's Original) -390 My Home is Your Home - 251 Wet and Cold - 261 Bring Out Your Dead - 244 Run For Your Lives - 163 When Vampires Attack - 168 Campfire - 131 Followers can Relax - 100 Falskaar - 220 Gray Fox Cowl - 122 Hartmere Isle - 100 Vilja in Skyrim - 298 Bathing Beauties or Beefcake - Luxury Suite - 201 Notice board - 230 Undeath - 122 Unread Books Glow - 104 Wet and Cold - 262 Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim - 125 I took out most of these in my build and got my starting string count to less than 35000. I have to test it out now and see how long I can play without the false save corruption showing up.

If you are using SKSE in oldrim then that fixes for the most part the resource problem.
-
I was getting the corrupt saves about every ten minutes of play. I took out the following mods which have scripts or are patches for mods with scripts: Follower Trap Safety Moonpath to Elsweyr SSE JR's Immersive Start Patch Ambriel - The Lost Princess (Fully Voiced and Quest) SE L u n a Luna UNP Dry Skin Even Better Quest Objectives - 1.5.8a Alternate Start - Live Another Life Patch Cutting Room Floor Patch - Updated The Paarthurnax Dilemma Patch Populated Skyrim HELL EDITION Amazing Follower Tweaks SSE (Dheuster's Original) My Home is Your Home True BatForm and was able to play for over a hour before I got the corrupt saves. Next I am going to start running mods through the CK and see if that helps any.
-
It has to be a resource problem. I think it is caused by not having SKSE64. I lot of mod authors used scripts in the place of SKSE64 to allow the player to control or modify the mod. So we end up with a lot more scripts running than in Oldrim.

I think the following are avalible in SE. Hold Border Banners No Snow Under The Roof Northborn Scars No Spinning Death Animation Bring Out Your Dead Holidays Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul Immersive Patrols Relationship Dialogue Overhaul - RDO Wet and Cold Lucidity Sound FX Campfire - Complete Camping System VioLens - A Killmove Mod Modern Brawl Bug Fix
