  1. I actually fixed it before reading this. Apparently Scavenger Armors caused the lag I was experiencing b/c the armor/weapons used by the patrolling guards have very detailed textures and, by disabling them, the FPS returned to normal. Thanks for the additional information on the load orders!
  2. My game basically freezes up (as in less than 1 FPS) near the Anacostia Crossing/ Rivet City exterior area. I have no graphical or performance issues elsewhere in the wasteland, it's just that one specific area that I cannot go near or else I basically have to pull up the task manager and end process. Anyone else have a similar problem?   3. I've tried multiple times to install Nehrim, but the installer is simply not creating its own Oblivion.exe in the Nehrim directory. I tried copying and pasting the Oblivion.exe from the Oblivion directory, but it doesn't do anything when I press START. Anybody have similar issues?
  4. Idk if this idea has been proposed or started already, but I felt like starting a compilation/portfolio of the player characters of the TESNexus community. The main reason I want to do this is because I love rerolling (starting new characters). However, i'm neurotic enough to spend ridiculous amounts of time tweaking everything that has to do with my character's looks. Sometimes i'd spend hours on end just to get the right combination of eye shapes, colors, hair and the endless remaining possibilities of Oblivion's char gen in order to create what i deem to be a beautiful PC. Thus, with the help of DarNified UI's numbered Character creation I want to start a compilation of aesthetically pleasing characters so other members of the community can sift through this thread to find a character's looks that they like and create that character in their own game. Well, to start off, here's one of the characters that i made http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/6ad8cfce81.jpg Mods that I used: Xenius Race Compilation for the race + eyes + hair The age and complexion, hair type, and eye type info is on the screenshot, so here are the rest of the numbers off of the character gen. I will simply write the category and subcategory of the facial feature such as "Shape: Face" or "Tone: Skin" and then list off the numbers ordered from top to bottom on the chargen screen. Example: -Shape- Face: -358. 347. 541. 197. 11 Where -358 corresponds to brow/nose/chin ratio. 347 corresponds to forehead/sellion/nose ratio. 541 corresponds to heavy/light and so on. This avoids resetting stats and such. To do the trick just 1. change your character's race/appearance 2. open up the console 3. while the console is open press esc to pull up the menu 4. save, then load that saved game. 5. Your new character now looks different and still maintains previous stats I hope this thread continues to grow and become a great resource for the members of this forum.   5. If you use Wrye Bash, you can do a similar thing with that. Go to the saves tab, right click on a save that worked, and click "Load Masters" It also shows the load order for that save in a column on the right. Also, I believe you were seeking fewer crashes. FEWER, not less.   6. Some of my characters load and others won't (specifically the one i've been recently playing on). I'm thinking it could b a corrupted save :(
  7. I decided to try out BOSS (better oblivion sorting software) the other day just to see if it could streamline my mods and hopefully get less crashes. However, after I ran it, there was no notification of the changes made to my load order. I checked OBMM and realized that the load order was, indeed, changed. The main menu loads up fine but when I load up a save game and the loading bar just stops at a random point. After a few minutes oblivion just crashes without ever getting ingame. I checked the masterlist manually to see if the load order was correct and everything seemed fine. I even disabled a few mods that may conflict and the problem is still there. Here's the load order: I stupidly forgot to back up my old load order so that's why i'm here asking you guys :D.
