If this hadn't happened, something else would have risen to destroy the modding community. Online communities are powder kegs of drama looking for one tiny spark to make them explode.

Okay, I reinstalled NMM and it apparently fixed whatever was wrong, so you guys might want to try that.

I've tried every possible server option from the NMM settings, and they all go straight to "Server Unreachable," except the EU Kent premium server. It actually starts the download before immediately stopping and giving me the message, 'There was an error trying to download your file." Moonlight Tales 2.3.2 is the one I'm also trying to download.

I'm getting "Server Unreachable" on every mod I try to download, unless I download manually, but manual download is problematic on large files, because there's no way to resume a download if it gets interrupted, and I live in a rural area and have fairly slow download speeds. This has been an on-going issue for me ever since I renewed my Premium membership a couple of days ago. Before renewal, it was fine. After I renewed, suddenly I can't download with the NMM.

How about instead of crippling the downloads, you just add a disclaimer and a new popup for people to click through, and then let Darwin sort out the people who don't have antiviral instincts?

In response to post #16789994. I think that's probably more to do with luck on your end then actual perks of membership. I've had a premium account for a while now, and still encountered multiple disconnects and botched downloads. ETA: It's better now than it was, but I still encounter problems, particularly with larger files.

I've been waiting all evening for the updated statue files for Namira and Boethiah to finally get released. If they wouldn't show as available until they were actually ready, I would have spent my evening blissfully ignorant of their existence. Heh. I just noticed that the mod author is posting right below me about the same files.

Would it be possible for new uploads to not show up until the virus scanning process is completed and the files are actually ready for download? It's a little frustrating to see an available update pop up on NMM, only to find the file isn't actually available, and won't be for some time ("it should be available for download in a few minutes" -- LOL).

If you allow people to opt out of the feature, you might as well not have the feature at all, because the people who most need the feature will opt out of it immediately, because they think their precious time will be wasted by the extra .5 seconds it takes to click a popup and move on.
