  1. That is correct. Ufo4p is next-gen but I was getting that corrupted download error when I tried to install the older version; I think workshop framework is pre-update but I'll double check. Thanks a ton!
  2. Hm Okay, thanks a ton for the info! I was getting that corrupted download error for ss2 and ufo4p so I'll try installing manually. I do have workshop framework so I'll double check which version I have.
  3. Hey all! I haven't been able to play FO4 since the update so recently I decided to take a crack at fixing everything so I can play again. I believe I successfully downgraded my game but I'm having trouble with a couple mods. I had downloaded a post-update version of SS2 in my initial attempt to play on the update, recently I tried to download the older version of SS2 and I was met with the pictured error message upon trying to install (everything done through nexus/MO2). Similar situation with the FO4UP. Is there a workaround for this? Are there any files within the versions of these mods I have installed that can be edited or deleted to make the game playable? I really love the content in SS2 so I'd rather not go without if I don't absolutely have to. Any and all help is appreciated! Also I can post my modlist/load order if need be, thanks in advance!
  4. I can do neither, like i said in my original post F4SE through MO2 is the farthest I can get and that's just a black screen that plays the first 3 notes of the main menu theme with the "press any button to continue". fallout4.exe and F4SE both just load a black window for about 1 second then crash. Fallout4.exe does bring up the launcher though
  5. Yeah my time line wasn't really clear there so I'll straighten it out: decide to play fallout 4 again on april 25-26th-ish> update mods to pre-april 25th latest versions> as they finish downloading I realize FO4 has updated> watch a couple videos talking about preventing updates/downgrading> try to manual downgrade, no luck> try downgrader, doesn't work>try it again, almost works but fails in the last portion. wait again>F4SE starts getting updated and other mods follow> start redownloading> present day. That's essentially the size of it
  6. RIP man, yeah I know F4SE isn't done-done but I was hoping to at least get to the main menu. I updated all of my big mods that were updated alongside F4SE hoping that would help. I tried downgrading and I tried the downgrader mod suggested by worm82075 both to no avail. Of course the day I decide to play FO4 again is the day it breaks irreparably hahaha
  7. Thanks for that, I hadn't seen that thread yet but I don't really think it answers any of my questions. was there maybe a specific post there you had in mind? I already have the most up to date f4se released
  8. Hey all, so (as many of us did) I too got screwed by Bethesda and steam auto-update. I was unsuccessful in downgrading my game so I have been waiting for F4SE to update. Now that I have installed the f4se update I have gotten closer to playing than I have in a while, thus brings us to the issue: when I launch f4se through MO2 I get to a black screen with "press any button to start" and the background music for about 2 seconds then crash, any recommendations? Also, I tried launching with and without the BS CC content, same result either way. Is anyone else experiencing this? Do I just have to wait for more stable mod updates? Any input is appreciated, thanks in advance! The game won't launch through steam or through just the f4se_loader.exe, f4se through mo2 is the furthest I have gotten yet. Edit: good evening everyone, as of just now I have gotten the farthest yet on the newest updates, now its a flickering black screen that plays the main theme. Can still only get this far via F4SE through MO2, Just F4SE does not work, neither does regular bethesda launcher.
