  1. Ooooooooh, a Harem. O.o Heheh, well if it works out for you then that's great. I figure Bodahn may not be the most reliable since I'm fairly sure I broke his inventory cap and broke him in the process one time. =S This is the one I've been using if you're interested. Works excellently. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1433
  2. Lol thank you, just wanted to check if it's true because I think I broke it. 8)
  3. Thanks for the advice. =) I've done as you said, and deleted the '.tlk' files in my override folder (under My Documents), which came with 'Detailed Tooltips'. However that has had no effect whatsoever. Everyone is still mute and weirdly labelled as: 'int100cr_female_warden' and 'int100cr_survivor' or the like... However interestingly after some folder exploring I've just noticed that the folder 'packages\core_ep1\audio\vo\en-us\vo' is completely empty while its other counterparts are wonderfully full. =s I think I found my problem... =D But thank you for the help TerraEx! I'm now trying to see if I can get the files from Steam again. =)
  4. Edit: lol I joined this a bit late... my browser didn't load the full first page so I didn't see the rest of your discussion, however... So you're saying it didn't show up in the Download Progress tab? Once you purchase a DLC while logged in it's automatically attributed to your EA account. As long as you're logged in and running DA:O with a clear internet connection (eg. no background dls) the program should communicate fine with the EA servers. Your purchased DLCs should be either in the 'Download Progress' tab or the 'Installed Content' tab. Often you need to manually start the DLC downloads in-game. The 'Availiable Content' bar should give a clear display of the DLCs you haven't purchased. Along with your remaining point balance and the option to buy it. Also, as Thandal stated, you can check what DLCs/bonuses have been registered to your Bioware/EA account in User Entitlements, if the DLC you bought is not listed there then there's definitely something wrong. If you got the reciept saying the sale went through then there's no reason you shouldn't have it... =( Hope it works out. =)
  5. Er, I can't say anything about Bodahn's spring cleaning tendencies, though I heard he only 'spring cleans' once after Lothering? and I think right after you begin the final battle. Check the wiki page for the exact details. Did these two problems occur at the same time? However I could recommend a workaround by way of getting the 'storage chest' or the 'bag of holding' mods which essentially acts as extra storage (though I recommend the former mod as the latter tends to be very unstable). If you have the Soldier's Peak DLC the storage chest there might also be a good choice.
  6. Quick question. Is there a cap to the amount of items he can hold? Towards the end of my game whenever I try to trade with him his shop inventory never opens up, he tells me he'll show me his wares and then I'm right back standing there staring at him and Sandal. I suspect I may have maxed out his inventory and caused a crash this way? Otherwise... help? I don't think any of the mods I have would've affected it. I think. So, ah, is there a cap to the size of his shop inventory?
  7. Oh this is an issue I've had as well. =( I'm not sure if this applies to you, but if you purchased the Steam version I've heard that the Steam-overlay may cause this problem on certain systems. I think I disabled the overlay and went back, and it's been fine as far as I've noticed (though I haven't been playing it for lengthy times lately), even when I reenabled it. If your problem lies elsewhere... good luck! =)
  8. So, uh, hi, me again. *timid wave* My problem is that for some reason none of dialogue in Awakenings is appearing for me. When anyone is supposed to be talking all that happens is that I find me and my character watching a show of charades. All the sound effects work fine (incl. my warden's snarky voiced comments), as does background music, but it's just the dialogue that has seemingly upped and dissapeared. There are no subtitles telling me what they're 'supposed' to be saying and their mouths don't even move. =( I also have no choices in making responses either. I tried loading a save of an earlier playthrough and an unknown conversation with Ohren ended with a mysterious -1 approval. Also I've noticed that my lovely companions have lost their names and are now being refered to by the game as something very similar to gh124_female_companion or go103_anders on top of their character models. I've just imported a warden from Origins, which had been working absolutely fine despite my numerous mods, but I think something has to be conflicting with Awakenings files. Steam has told me there are no game files missing. So, uh, this time my question is. What sort of files/mods are most likely to cause this issue? I've tried disabling everything I could in the in-game DLC menu but that has had zero effect.
  9. Thank you so much! That was the perfect advice to help me figure out what went wrong. x) I looked through the new mods I'd installed and it turned out that the only appearance altering mod I'd installed was the 'Thazulok Face Replacement', and once I removed it everything worked seamlessly. Thank you for the help!
  10. Here's one of the error logs from Event Viewer... though I don't know what it would do... @.@ DAOrigins.exe 1.4.12393.0 4c093389 DAOrigins.exe 1.4.12393.0 4c093389 c0000005 0040c614 17ec 01cbad44587feb10 C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\dragon age origins\bin_ship\DAOrigins.exe C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\dragon age origins\bin_ship\DAOrigins.exe b322876c-1937-11e0-8795-70f395f27756
  11. Ever since discovering this site I've been installing a great deal of mods for my game, and so far I've been playing my saves without any problems whatsoever. However the other day when I decided to create a new character, Dragon Age started to crash whenever I try to enter character creation, no matter if it's for Origins or Awakening. This is only a problem that's started after I installed some new mods in the past week. So I'm wondering if anyone knows which type of mods may be most likely to affect the relevant gamefiles and cause this issue? I've tried disabling every single non-official mod I could in the DLC menu and that has had no effect. Personally I think the problem may be occuring when it tries to load the introductory movie, all the hair/make-up/colour mods I'd installed had been working fine until recently. For what it's worth, I also tried the dlded demo Character Creater from the Bioware website... which also crashed when I hit the 'create new character' button... I'm running DA:O off Steam, and have recently changed computers, upgrading from a Win 7 32-bit system to a 64-bit system, and had just copied my Steam folder and Documents folder directly... I have no idea what's going on with the game right now, since everything apart from 'start a new game' works perfectly normally. I'd hate having to reinstall the game and/or all my mods. =( Wondering if anyone could help me.
