  1. Hey guys! I was wondering if someone would be willing to make me a swap for the menu movie (saw that some made a few Edgerunners ones!) The default one is fun but I really love the teaser trailer they made back in 2013 ( ) and hoped someone would mod it into the game. Thanks for your time.
  2. Friends and I came back from a hiatus because we heard Skyrim Together Reborn released and is in active dev. However we saw on the github that their client doesn't register esls. Can I simply unflag and rename the files to .esp? Is that going to break most items? I remember reading somewhere at one point that esls had certain conditions so you couldn't lable them willy nilly. Is it true in the reverse? Thanks in advance for your time.
  3. Heya! Thanks for stopping by. I'll try not to ramble. I wanted to stop by and pick more talented peoples brains. While I'm not 100% a novice: you gotta admit there are a LOT of resources for mod building and editing out there. So I didn't even know what phrases or terms would even really help me find the information I am looking for! My end goal is to be able to 'pare down' Apachiisky Hair for my own personal use. There's a lot of great work in that mod, really. But if I am doing a Khajiit playthru I don't want all of that data taking up valuable space when there's only like...what..I think 4 or 5 Khajiit hairs in it?? So if anyone was able to take me thru the process or like I said, even just point me in the direction of the knowledge I actually need to do this myself it would be appreciated. I hope everyone is staying safe in the US as Covid keeps climbing. Thanks for your time!
  4. Something a lot of modders overlook is scripts. You can CTD simply from the sheer number of scripts trying to run at once. When I learned about this I was trying to run lots of mods on top of Legacy of the Dragonborn, enhanced blood textures (which used scripting to keep track of wound duration) and Footprints (which uses scripting to keep track of walking NPCs in order to display the decal). Now you have LotD in there which is a large mod and takes up a lot by itself. The author(s) even warn against using it with other, script heavy mods. I see you're also using Footprints - I recommend going into the MCM and changing the effected NPCs to a max of 5 - the default is 20 (!!!) if I remember right so it loads in/applies the effect the NPCs you usually aren't even seeing. I've found putting it at 5 let's me enjoy the effect of the mod (myself/party, immediate people nearby) without wasting PC power applying the effect elsewhere. I see you're also running frostfall. I've not used the mod myself - but I think it uses scripting to keep track of your condition(s). You have a handful of other mods I personally don't have experience with. However my vote is going to the possibility that you have a scripting overload if traditional troubleshooting methods haven't yielded any results.
  5. I was SO MAAAADDDD about this loose thread. I took Nicky with me everywhere ( 'cause I love the old toaster ) and I kept waiting for SOMETHING else to happen. But no. I remember reading a similar proposal on a tumblr post long ago. It made me smile a bit to see this here. This would definitely be a big undertaking - but I know it would be well received. I would even take this kind of mod without audio voice files for the conversations. There's so much potential in the set-up for story telling.
  6. I SWEAR I have seen this in all of my mod churning. I want to say it was OCDecorator?
  7. Just to cover the base: do you have the .dds plug-in? Other than that, the process seems straight forward based on threads I found: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/6015818-easy-way-to-edit-a-texture-of-an-existing-mod/
  8. Yikes that's rough. It does sound like you've covered all the bases if you've done a fresh install and launched via F4SE. It's odd that it didn't even want to work when you dropped everything manually. Only thought I got is that maybe something corrupted? And I have seen disclaimers on mods that vortex sometimes doesn't play nice. Personally I use MO2 so I am unfamiliar with all of Vortex's quirks. So as a last hail mary: uninstall Go into your folders and make sure everything is gone. Empty Recycle Bin for good measure. Reinstall Verify game files (in case of corruption) Launch the game once to let it create the .ini files, etc Then either 1) make another attempt manually or 2) Test it out with a different mod manager [ I'd do this to preserve your fresh install ] Either road you take, reinstall F4SE Get a fresh copy of the mod downloaded, install Honestly I can remember a time way back when I had a similar issue when I tried out the Ladies of Legend presets. I installed the mod in MO2 but then I also copied the F4SE folder into my base game itself in a final attempt to make it work and it did. I don't have it that way now though. It was a long time ago and I can't really say what fixed it other than the various updates and fresh install since then. It's been at least a year. I hope it works out. Good luck friend!
  9. I'm a novice but: I don't see an enbseries.ini or enblocal.ini your folder. Both of these files are how you change/enable various settings. There is also no enbseries folder, which has always been present in my experience. So it would seem your are outright missing files and that is why your folder in its present state will not work. So I would say: uninstall. Go into your folders and delete any leftover (there's a remover.bat? I don't know how those behave. Make sure it's gone) . Empty the recycle bin for good measure. Reinstall. Then CLOSELY follow the install instructions for your enb of choice. Take your time.
  10. I'm really enjoying my current ENB. There's nice colors, just enough DoF, it doesn't make me nauseous. There's just one thing I'd like to alter. The effect in question is the one that mimics your eye adjusting to a change in light level. Things being darker at first and then brightening up after a few moments. It's a lovely, realistic effect - I just don't particularly care for it in my play. I attempted to google a solution but I don't even know what the setting/"feature" is technically called? So it's made it a trial. I thought I would just ask. Closed mouths don't get fed. Thank you for your time!
  11. Looking at existing posts can be informative. This was started yesterday: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/6596886-an-error-occurred-in-the-script-mod-reinstallation-issues/
  12. While you have a great rig yeah my best guess given the evidence would maybe be script load might be causing the crashes. I have a nice set up myself but my load was limited on Oldrim because of scripts. Legacy of the Dragonborn alone has a large load. I was trying to find if there was a console command that monitors your average script load but I am not having any luck with that. Hopefully another soul with more experience with the various mods might spot another possible culprit for you.
  13. Hmmmm.... The only time I've personally had a bed-use crash on Alternate Start was when my physics body wasn't installed correctly but I don't even see one as part of your load order. You say it's a clean sweep so I am guessing full reinstall has been completed. My next guess is that maybe you're crashing when it is trying to load the next location? Since you are using ENB make sure that you have the SKSE memory patch set up in your ini correctly with the proper amount of memory designated/set aside. Aside from that - there's a couple in your list I haven't personally used but I can't imagine any of these causing crashable conflicts. You might have some neck seems or grey face from the two npc overhauls. Unfortunately I think you will have to simply experiment, disabling them one at a time to find the culprit.
  14. Nice! If you are wanting to tweak some stuff Outfit Studio is pretty user friendly! And since Bodyslide etc has been around for ages there's lots of documentation. To fix the back you should be able to just load the outfit, expand the mesh a bit with one of the tool tips and save it. I've had to fix clippings on shoulders etc this way on outfits and I'm very much a novice.
