How would I modify the cowboy perk when I can only load one master file? I want the perk to include the (sturdy) caravan shotgun, the police pistol, and the sawn-off shotgun, while not including the 5.56 pistol (and that gun). So this would affect dead money, the caravan pack and GRA. Does this mean I would have to: Load up the new vegas master file, make the changes to the caravan shotgun and the sawn-off Save that, then load that file + dead money Make the changes to the police pistol Save that, then load that file + caravan pack Make the changes to the sturdy caravan shotgun etc. Or is there a way to load up multiple master files? And if there is, would that be more convenient or is the method I just mentioned better? Thanks in advance for any help.

A better means of implementing those entry point commands. Yes the engine thinks about if the weapon is automatic before it sets up the render pipe line. ineficient ... so it chokes regularly The entry point is better before pipe render. But not too soon ,,, enough time to render in cells stable . If I exit and enter the cell I used for testing it will work? Not sure what you're saying. -

For some reason (I tested with the AER14, maybe there's something wrong with that weapon) aiming down sights makes you put the rifle in front of your eyes so you can't see anything, and when holding down fire it basically skips the first shot. Did you get this aswell with those settings you proposed? -
Dang, I'm guessing that's why there's so few creature mods?

I modified the hunting rifle and changes its formID and name so it's a separate weapon but I was wondering how I'd spawn this in the game through the console? Or do I have to place it somewhere in the world first? Thanks in advance

So I just realized there's very little creature mods for FO3. I'm guessing it's because adding new creatures is very difficult? How hard would it be to, for example, retexture a mirelurk to be more reddish and make it spawn in various non-water areas? I'd call it a landlurk. I know this is an odd thread, it's not a request, but I'm just asking how hard it would be to do for someone with little modding experience. Thanks in advance for any info.

What are some good mods which add (balanced) creatures to spice up the wasteland a bit? I'd prefer it if they add just a few creatures cause I like to make choices and not have 30 new creatures.

You could easily change the hellfire armor model to that of the tesla armor if you're willing to settle with that. -

Here you go, there is a simpler way to simply make weapons not degrade but I suspect that would cause conflict issues, so I simply raised the durability to insane amounts. Good luck trying to chip in even 1% of durability. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/22738/? -

Well, there's only one AttackLoop animation. Two-handed automatic weapons like the assault carbine and laser RCW use AttackLoop. -
I got it working as intended, but unfortunately when I use the AttackLoop attack animation it looks really odd. The courier starts holding the weapon one-handed while firing and sticks it out like it's a pistol. When I use the default laser rifle attack animation (Attack4) the automatic fire doesn't work. Using AttackLoop did work fine to make the laser pistol automatic, no idea why it wouldn't work on the laser rifle. Any ideas? Any alternative attack animations (of the ones the GECK has) I could use?

So... that's a no then. =/ I always wanted to use some New Vegas weapons in FO3.. (The LMG mainly) Read it completely. You can port them over for personal use, you're not allowed to distribute the mod though. Alternatively, you could make a new weapon based on the assault rifle, modify the stats a bit (higher rate of fire and clip size, lower damage) and call it a light machine gun. I'll be purchasing the NV only to try to port All Weapons... New Vegas is definitely worth it as a game, it's a lot better than Fallout 3 IMO.

What's the survival skill of your character? That affects the healing rate of such items. Or maybe it's affected by medicine instead (considering that's the skill you craft it with), can't be sure. Try crafting or spawning in such a legate powder and then use the console to reduce your medicine and/or survival to level 10 or so and see if it reduces the healing rate. Test medicine and survival separately so you know what affects it. Hope this helps.

Automatic Laser Pistol for GRA

Here, I gave it a shot. Let me know if it atleast works (code for GRA laser pistol is xx00084d) and what could be improved. I'm completely new to modding so I'll have to look into actually speeding up the laser pistol animation instead of borrowing it from the plasma defender. It burns through ammo pretty quick, the long reload animation of the laser pistol basically halved its effective DPS. It should be between the laser pistol and laser RCW in DPS. https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63929/?
