  1. Hey everyone, I could use some help. I'm working on a new player home idea, nothing too ambitious. I'm having trouble understanding quest creation, and I could really use some pointers or even a co-pilot to help me out. Basically, I'm creating a small vault home untouched due to high security measures (designed for a local billionaire, never made it before war), and I just need a short quest to find the security pass to deactivate the defenses in the billionaires loft in d.c, and a few other short objectives. Any help is appreciated :)
  2. Thanks all for the responses. QuinnMallory, I took your Erradication of Super Mutants to heart, and decided to incorporate it into the main functions of the mod. It's morphed into something much bigger. Bigger than TSC (mothership zeta crew mod) or any other faction mods. A faction that you head, a faction built on the ashes of the wastes. You are the Wasteland Reclamation Front. Here's the progress... Once the main storyline is complete, you have a dream that envisions a clean, rebuilt wasteland. You recruit a small ragtag team of wastelanders from various locations (not in real-time, gotta wait a few days), then you take over & revamp Fort Bannister (renamed Fort Cleanse the WRF HQ). From there you can order battalions to reclaim areas in D.C. and each area you reclaim with your forces, you can choose to remodel & upgrade. This includes all vaults & the Subway system & popular locations around the area. There will also be a small quest included in the main quest line that enables you to take control & restore functionality of the U.S. Government Satellite Relays found in the northwest corner of the map and order tactical strikes on locations. Unfortunately for evil players, these locations are "evil locations". Such as Paradise Falls, Tenpenny Tower, Raven Rock (again), and the Republic of Dave. The strike can also be used on Vault 87 & 101 enabling you to take control & upgrade rather than send a strike force (more expensive but faster.). So far thats it. Thats all I want to include for the first few releases. I do need voice actors, a story writer (maybe me), a few extra GECK experts, and anybody else that would like to help.
  3. kieranbhoy, I will be creating this mod by myself yes. Progress will obviously be slow due to the fact that I do have a life outside Fallout. If anyone is willing to help me with the mod, however, I will be happy to accommodate them. The mod will rebuild the subway system starting out, and slowly improvements can be made to it, etc. The areas around the stations will be remodeled over time, at the players discretion. The player can then have the option to join one of two factions. Either the National Trust or the Eden Initiative. National Trust is more enclave style, quick expansion with little regard to human rights or further damage to the environment, all while rebuilding the governmental structure. The eden initiative will be much more environmentally inclined, and be much like the brotherhood of steel except without the need for control over pre-war tech. Expansion with them will slowly progress, and their governmental structure will be similar to that of socialism. The player may also choose to begin his/her own faction using hidden vaults around the d.c. area (connected by underground transit) as a city & base. Ladies and gentlemen, obviously this will be an extreme overhaul of the game, and will bring the fun of quests back into fallout after the DLC's. This I find to be the most lore friendly method (mind the factions) out there that is so radical in its changes. Please, any help on the project is much appreciated. LambentEarache, I thought about it, but I felt the mixture was innappropriate without western BoS & NCR, and the logistics of porting them into my mod wouldn't be worth the effort. Remember, dc is much smaller than vegas, and space to house three new factions on top of the two previously mentioned on top of the two already there would be crowded.
  4. Hey thanks for the responses, its a good idea to add scavengers, I think that if I do, ill still clean them up a little bit, adding more light, and removing enemies, effectivly turning the vaults into trading posts, and possibly hotels for the player. There will be an option, ive decided, once you finish restoring the subways, and other places, youll be appointed official leader of the wastes, and you will get the option to either receive a vault previously unknown and discovered in the catacombs of the subways, or a house in downtown D.C.
  5. Hey kiddies, got an idea, I'd like to claim it for obvious reasons, I'd like to create it. I do want feedback. I want to make a mod that after the main story line, a rebuilding of D.C. with you as a leader, to rebuild settlements and vaults. The first release will include the ability to extend project puritys reach, and restore the Subway lines completely, to make it easier to fast travel to destinations. Now for you lore-lovers, this isn't ideal. So, your feedback is appreciated, but I don't want to hear flaming of others or my inputs. Now the subway would include a fee to travel and an extensive quest. Any ideas on improvements or anything at all on it? Thanks Guys!
