  1. I think it's High Rock. Or maybe Wrothgarian Mountains and High Rock. Admittedly, I was thinking it was going to be Summerset Isles, since it made sense to me because of the Thalmor. As for expectations...I hope they don't downgrade even more from Skyrim...
  2. Magic is certainly not an everyday thing that you can get any silver out of it*. Unless it's enchanting, provided that the person has the means to pay for it - they usually don't. I mean, noone is going to enchant his "pa's axe". To get some court commission, they probably ask for the best. Of course, you can be a court mage, but then you have that same competition between the other qualified mages. It's rough, ultimately adventuring is probably the highest paying thing one can have, but it's certainly not for everyone, it's not nice and your companions and friends can die. Makes me wonder how the college is still standing...I mean, would they waive tuition, or lower it? After all, a college is nothing without students, and noone seems to be clamoring to get in... *Reminds me of those mines in Dawnstar, I think it was. One was a moonstone mine and the other iron, moonstone is more expensive, delicate and used for interesting armor, but will the regular person want to craft with it? Iron, though, everyone uses it. The end result is that iron is a lot more profitable all around. Edit#1: It was a quicksilver mine, not a moonstone.
  3. Your issue would be a lot more...pointed... if there were actual classes in this game. Since you can do what you want and then dedicate to Magedom (That's right, "magedom"). Naturally, if you actively choose mage, then you are roleplaying that way. For example: I'm a Battlemage**, and I had to buy armor, weapons and spells. Then it comes a time when you have a lot of gold, way too much...I tend to joke that I would buy Haafingar if I wanted. Still kinda want to... By the way, if you are worried about old age, do what I did, become a vampire. Or I dunno, research immortality with Dyvaith Fyr, was that Fyr, or am I wrong? Whatever. **You know, heavy armor, weapon and spell, etc.
  4. There will be enough, also, nowhere it is said they can't go back to a previous province after they do the rest. It will be a loong time, though.
  5. People will upload what they want. Most, though, have moved on - or mainly supporting/troubleshooting/etc their mods that were uploaded a long time ago. But, yeah, the game is very old now. Some moved to Fallout 4 others to other stuff. Mostly what you will see is companion mods. Been that way for a year or so. What could be done with Skyrim, has probably been done already. :p
  6. Interesting. I do challenge myself, but in a light way. For example, depending on how I role play a particular character, I join some of the factions but not all. My main, Empire side, doesn't join the Companions or Thieves Guild, and until lately the College of Mages - I decided to join 'cause it seemed odd that she was a battlemage with no connections there - thanks to a mod I can step down and simply be a Master Wizard once I finish the quest line. Is a vampire Vokihar side. My alt, Stormcloak side, joined the Companions, Dislikes the Thieves Guild and most of all the College. Is a werewolf. Another alt I have is the perennial aloof mage: Dunmer, unconcerned by any and all politics, and most factions - the Telvanni would be proud. Etc, etc... There...is a... deeper explanation with the way I roleplay each character...but eeehhh, not going to put that here.
  7. Okay, Humungus Dingus did give me a hard chuckle. Maybe they were trying to collar or kill Alduin for the longest time( every time they failed they slapped their foreheads), and only now they succeeded, which, yeah, that would be maybe an anomaly. Dunno, maybe they (Daedra/Aedra) like where things are going atm? I believe Talos was the real catalyst, and everything went somewhere else. He certainly has the Old God-Kings of Morrowind beaten on that account. So yeah, I'm in agreement.
  8. Ooh, really? I need to check it out then.
  9. Hahaha, no. Good they didn't update the exe, though.
  10. Even their guise as mammalian bipeds is solely designed to make money. When we both know they are actually aliens from the planet Wanglor. Tbh, there is no real conspiracy, that is to say...it's not really a secret they want to monetize mods, and been wanting it for a long time. Also, they stumble along the way, like the first few paid mods* I'm guessing the next TES and Fallout will have the whole Creation Club thing already integrated instead of patching it in. *Yeah, we all know that's what they are, Pete, but you can dress it up differently if it makes you happy.
  11. Eh, if I remember correctly, that's an incarnation of Boethia, been a while since I played that quest (a couple of years?). Writing wasn't ESO's strong point if it had one. Though, I did like that everything was voiced. Honestly though, not to disagree, but if they can make a better game by taking a break from TES, I'm all for it. Same goes for Fallout. I think those two Flagships need a refit.
  12. I'm still bummed I can't levitate anymore...yeah, it's been years but still. They shouldn't have removed the spell. Aaand this has to do with the main question because..uuhh, Nazir could have levitated...granted, he probably would have been cooked.
  13. Nothing wrong with hugging the Night Mother. She's rather warm actually...
  14. Yep, they tell me my blood is foul. Silly Cave Vampires and Accidents, they should know better. It's a territorial thing, just kill them, there will be less, but certainly better vampires. There is simply too much diluted blood.
  15. Yeah, you can, there is always the chance to enter the Soul Cairn as a vampire. Serana gives you that choice.
  16. It's not creepy if you don't think about it. I'm pretty sure there is a lot in the wasteland that that can be applied to.
  17. I think Kvatch stopped being important, strategically or otherwise after it's siege in Oblivion. I would love to know where the Legions are encamped to give a better answer to this, but the other cities that appear to be important would be Bravil, because of it's port and closeness to White Gold, can be a staging area for attack on the Capital, and Leyawiin, so as to defend the Eastern flank and further the grip on the Capital. Timing and surprise is everything. Otherwise the Empire would already have assumed this strategy and negate it. I think Kvatch and Anvil can be obviated if you take Skingrad. Again...I would love to know where the Legions are stationed. Anyways, Kvatch was probably not besieged, unless it had a more important presence. (It didn't) As far as safest, I've no idea, I suppose a lone cabin in the woods, and never venturing into the cities, lol.
  18. Just one small thing, you get a free SE as separate game*, but the old one doesn't upgrade to it. *If you have the old one registered, otherwise you have to buy it. Also, I've no idea if there was a deadline for the whole thing. Edit#1: Yeah, I checked, if you had the old one and all DLC you get the SE as a separate game for free. Though that is now over.
  19. Using that logic, vampires and zombies and draugr are not really immortal. Also, I would put forward the Champ of Cyrodiil is immortal because Uncle Sheo. Presumably, the CoC is much to young at the time of the oblivion crises for any other type of immortality, other than 'prevent me from having an accident' to be of much use. You can kill both vampires and draugur and all manner of undead and they cease to be. So no, they aren't really immortal = invincible. If you consider immortality = living long and eternal life if noone drives a stake through my chest or burns me. Then yeah, they are "immortal". As far as TES goes, it is an immortality of a sort, much like Becoming a Lich, etc... And yes, The Champ is immortal because of Sheo. I can see I wasn't clear, but that is what I implied. Also, about the very last part...that is also what I implied about the CoC, lol. Oh, and lastly, can you tell me now in the 4th era, where does the CoC begins and where does Sheo end? No, which is why I worded it that way. He stopped being CoC, and is Sheogorath completely for all intents and purposes. Frankly, I didn't think I had to expand on the Champ...
  20. The Dragonborn, like many other prophesy heroes are immortal barring injury (The Nerevar and Champ of Cyrodiil for a time until Uncle Sheo). In which case they are not really Immortal. Cut them enough though, and they die just the same.
  21. Beth wasn't really know for it's expansive Vampire/Werewolf system and the like. Though they did better for the vampires this time around than they did in the past. Still use Better Vampires and Moonlight tales cause...yuck stock game. My main and alt are always Vampire and Werewolf respectively. Other alts don't really go there. It is a little hard for me to play as a vampire hunter even though I had done so a couple of times a full Dawnguard playthrough on their side. But I'm sure there are mods out there that make it more palatable, I never had the interest.
  22. I never cared for achievements, so that is lost on me. And others who don't care about them, of course. And yes, there are mods enables achievements. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12465/?
  23. I liked Fallout 4 for what it was and not what it wasn't. In which case it wasn't really an rpg*(Like Skyrim  yeah, yeah, that game too.). Still I liked it a lot. And yeah, dialog was terrible, in a technical sense, sometimes I wanted to tell people other stuff or ignore inconvenient stuff. But no, the game had some sort of priority list in my opening dialog that made my character so 2D. Couldn't figure a way around it. *I hate that perk system in both games...
  24. Yep, not every country had to be hit just enough of them for the rest to feel it anyways... a lot.
