  1. Without a doubt? What? Todd has already said that's not going to happen. If you spend 7.5 billion on a company then immediately cut off over half the customer base of said company, then you are securing yourself a feature display in the Hall of Idiots in the Business History Museum. Microsoft has done a lot of work towards cross platform. There is absolutely not one shred of evidence to back up your "Without a doubt". Whoa, that triggered you didn't it  "If you spend 7.5 billion on a company then immediately cut off over half the customer base of said company, then you are securing yourself a feature display in the Hall of Idiots" Errr, Halo? There's your shred. Oh, to be clear, if you thought I was excluding PC with that Xbox exclusives part, I wasn't. I meant PC/Xbox exclusives. So be calm. Triggered? Whatever dude. Get over yourself, you are not that important. Halo was already primarily an XBox title with some Windows forays so that is a completely irrelevant example. Wow. Ok mate, there's nothing to get over. So where that "important" bit came from I have no idea. Are you just angry or what? Honestly what are you even on about? You said stuff. I pointed out it was incorrect. It's not that hard to figure out. Stop calling people triggered and angry just because they disagree with what you say. It's immature. Let's just end this now shall we?

  3. Why? Bethesda are floundering. Major new titles are nowhere in sight. Fallout 76 was an ill-conceived, poorly executed dumpster fire. It and Wolfenstein Youngblood had nasty pay to win, predatory microtransactions. The Bethesda of old is dead. My expectations for ES6 and Starfield are dead flat. Now they may return to form. I hope they do. I will happily be proven wrong and embrace both games should they learn from their mistakes. That said, Microsoft has shown themselves to be sympathetic to not only multiple platforms (at least, Xbox and Windows) but modding as well. And the new injection of cash and resources may get better results. Bethesda titles will not be Xbox specific. They said as much. You do not spend 7.5 billion on a company and then immediately cut yourself off from over half it's customer base unless you have the IQ of a particularly stupid tree stump. MS may well prove to be that stupid in the future but for now, there is no reason to believe they will. And they could not kill Skyrim and Fallout 4 modding if they wanted to. It would cost them thousands, gain them nothing, and alienate more of the customer again. And if they did, we would find workarounds. Given that MS have actively encouraged modding on XBox in numerous instances including Skyrim SE and Fallout 4 (including new resources, unlike Sony) again I see no evidence of reason to panic here. So why exactly does this suck exactly?
  4. That makes zero sense. Microsoft could not kill modding for those games if it wanted to. They would expend thousands of dollars doing things like updating the games to break support (and people would just distribute the old files anyway), suing places like Nexus (and people would just share the mods in other ways anyway), and alienate a large chunk of their new customer base. Plus given they have shown plenty of support for modding in the past including allowing mods for Skyrim SE and Fallout 4 that also include custom content, and mods for other games, there really is no reason whatsoever to believe they would be this catastrophically daft. Don't get me wrong. It could happen. But there is no reason to even think that is possible for now. Except that they have done in the past and are making more moves to do so I really fail to see how you can justify this. Taking 15 seconds out of your life to Google search this would have shown this to you. Here is but one article that shows you are quite incorrect. https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2019/02/microsoft-paradox-allow-open-game-modding-on-xbox-one-for-the-first-time/

  6. Hi guys, I am having a world of trouble with the latest patch. Many big workshop mods like Alternate Settlements and Homemaker is riddled with problems where I will get the item in the menu, but the icon will be missing and the item itself is not constructable. I have tried the numerous SK variants, and also without it, but I get the same result. Also (this may or may not be part of it) but using the old sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\ causes the game to crash when I load a save. Tried a clean save and re-adding everything piece by piece, no joy. Interestingly, Snap n' Build seems to work perfectly. Any ideas?
