  1. That someone was me, thanks :) I've had a look at these three mods, but I'm not sure they do what I have in mind. I just found out that I was not right: Not Unleveled World was my favourite one, it was indeed the Scaling Stopper. Lehcar, you wish for an experience like in Gothic, is that correct?
  2. Greetings! After installing Dawnguard, I had some serious performance issues due to my mods I guess. When I deactivated them, issues were gone. Okay, now I'm waiting for another Steam Deal to get Dragonborn, then I want to reinstall and activate the mods I need. BUT: The most important mods is gone, I can't find it any more. Neither here, nor in Steam Workshop. It's called "Unlevelled World", I have an alternative though ("Skyrim Scaling", but I'm not sure if it is as good). Does anyone know where it has gone, maybe it has another name now? Thank you.
  3. Totally agree, thanks a lot. Not only from me, but also from my 5 year old daughter. She especially enjoys additional hairstyles, clothes and armour. I guess half of my installed mods are because of her "aaaaaaw how beautiful!" :)
  4. Greetings! Browsing mods, I happen to find HD texture mods from time to time. As there is the free HD texture DLC on Steam - is it true, that I don't need any HD texture mod? I'm wondering, because I found a neat additional armor which requires a special texture mod. Do I really need that mod, or is the Steam DLC enough?
  5. Great. Now I found Unlevelled World, seems to have the same effect. Now I can pick one of three mods, all with the same effect (?). Right now I'd prefer the last one, I guess it has an easy installation. Oh please help :D
  6. Greetings! I'm pretty new to Skyrim - actually, until now, I didn't see anything else than the starting sequence while showing my children this hopefully awesome game. Didn't have time yet to collect all the mods I'd like to use. I played Oblivion quite a bit, so did my daughter, and of course I used quite some mods. One VERY important mod was Francesco's leveling mod, right now I can't even find it with google. It was a pretty huge tool where you could change different settings like ingame-time-speed and especially stop that ugly levelling of nearly everything around you (like bandits in most expensive aramour). I found Skyrim Scaling Stopper, and that already makes me smile. But is there anything similar? Or maybe some kind of mighty tool like Francesco's was? Or should I stick with this stopper? Thanks in advance. Edit: I just found Real Unleveled Skyrim, seems to have the same effects like SSS. Does anyone have experience with both? Which one should I take, are there any advantages or disadvantages, comparing those two?
  7. Ah no, didn't want an extra mod, just looked to a safe place to put my stuff until I bought my first house. Thanks then, I'll take the sacks :)
  8. Damn. Thanks! I know there is another room down there, but there is a gate between the rooms I can't open. Says it has to be opened remotely ... guess I have to head back and find some other place :D do you have any suggenstions for crates or chests in IC, especially Market District, that don't respawn?
  9. Greetings! In the sewers of the Market District in Imperial City there is a locked chest (if you kill a bandit in there, he might have a key for that, but you don't need it). Does this chest respawn? Would like to keep some loot there until I buy a house (just restarted the game with a new character).
  10. Greetings! I'm one of those having problems with the Body Replacer. I try tu use both Male and Female Eyecandy Body Replacer, manually, because I don't have OBMM (when I tried to install my first two mods, I learned quickly that I'm not too dumb just to copy and paste, so I didn't need any complicated extra program). But this time it's harder, right? It's not just copy & paste into the Data folder? First: the Female one doesn't have an .esp, but somewhere I read it doesn't need one. Right? Second: It will only work if i just choose ONE of those many files per body part ... like ONE headhumanm40.dds and delete all other headhumanms, right? Or I guess I'll just try out the mod manager, at least this time :D but then ... can I install these mods with the mod manager and then start Oblivion without it? Edit: tried again, manually. Didn't work. Did this (Female EyeCandy - Body Replacer (nude) 1.0 - Manual.zip): - put the meshes-folder into Oblivion\data; as there was already a meshes-folder (for natural environment), I simply put the character-folder from Female EyeCandy into this meshes-folder - put the textures-folder into Oblivion\data; see above for existing textures-folder - now I went into my textures-character-folder, there into imperial, deleted the footfemale.dds and the handfemale.dds (still footfemale_n.dds and handfemale_n.dds left in that folder); when I first tried, I didn't delete anything at all, but now it's still the same What am I doing wrong? Edit 2: Gods in Heaven. Give me a donkey hat or something like this. I downloaded the wrong file, so I didn't get the expected result :D btw: OBMM works fine O:-)
  11. Cool, thanks. I've seen there are more mods for the other parts, too, like Hammerfell. Still: do I need a mod to disable the borders, or is it enough just to edit the Oblivion.ini?
  12. Greetings! I tried searching a bit in the forums and browsing some files, because I wanted to expand the playable territory of Oblivion. Got a little confused, not really sure what's possible and what I can expect though. First of all: There are small mods to remove the invisible borders. That's not necessary, right? Because there's an entry in the Oblivion.ini, I just have to set the borders from 1 to 0. Right? Second: If I only do that, can I just keep walking and ... then? Is there a walkable land behind those borders? Third: There are several mods like "Total Tamriel", for example. I'm not quite sure what they do because I don't fully understand that border-thing. So, if I need to turn off the borders and install Total Tamriel ... I can walk all over Tamriel, right? But there are no cities, no people, no NPCs at all? No dungeons, forts or whatsoever? Are there random enemies, like wolves? Fourth: In order to get a wonderful extra-cyrodillian experience, what will I have to do? Speaking of cities, NPCs and maybe quests found in Hammerfell, Morrowind or whatever I'd be able to go to. Thanks for your help :)
  13. I started once ... then I noticed Vilverin, headed there, encountered a bandit, lured him away (no wait, it was a woman), fought her, killed her, fetched the loot, discovered another bandit, ran away (couldn't carry more stuff, so I decided to retreat), got to IC market and tried to earn as much money as possible. Well, was not too much, but enough to buy some basic stuff. Talked to some people, started my first sidequest (you know, Thoronir), explored and looted the first dungeons near IC (not that easy with only 225+ a bit per lvl) ... :) 25 hours now without touching main quest. next time? Think of a similar start, but deliver the amulet earlier.
  14. For now I'm totally fine with Francesco's. Of course, it changes a lot including several mods, but the most important thing for me was stopping the creatures/enemies' levelling. Everything else is good-/great-to-have, but essential is that levelling. Next thing I might try is visually enhancement, and then ... for sure, nude mod :P I just NEED to show my wife. She loved the game Fable and compares everything with it. Show her a game? "It's not like Fable!" Too bad her English isn't that good so she can't really enjoy my Steam version. Uh - makes me think of a language conversion mod, don't know if something like that exists. THAT would be me wife's number 1 mod (THEN Francesco, then, uhm .... I'd install her a nudity mod :P).
