Yes, from personal experience I say this: Start small. Case in point, I wanted to make a weapon mod that has its own custom models and textures. I quickly ran into several roadblocks and still haven't released my "first" mod. I'd say just start with things that are already in game, its far easier and you usually know how yo fix it if it goes wrong.

No its not completely new, I'm going to use a securitron model for the majority of the body and maybe replace the tv face with a toaster. I don't know, it will still use the animations for the securitron. I do have one question though. Will I have to make my own new texture for the new creature, or can the Securitron mesh and the Toaster mesh keep their textures?

Good sir, a smashing tutorial I must say. If I may implore you, how would I go about placing my own decal on the armour? Say a NCR flag for instace?

So this is what happens After a while the game begins to lag a bit, not enough to affect gameplay but its noticeable. The case feels fairly hot. about 10 minutes later or so, the computer makes a brrrrr sound, and a click is heard, the case feels really hot. The screen shuts down. So yeah. This is the problem I've faced since I did a reinstall. I'lll try to help solve my problem by posting a few theorys I have. - The computer is overheating. -Since I only have 45 GB of memory left on my hard drive, its hard pressed to keep the game running for a time. - The processor may be overheating, or the video card, I'm not really a techie. Now I'll tell you what Fallout New Vegas was like the 1st time I installed. It didn't crash. At all. There weren't any glitches at all. It ran like a charm essentially. The only mod I had was unlimited companions. life was suh-weeet. I need to elaborate here, this was vanilla New Vegas, no patches or DLC, this was 1.0. So now that I have posted my theorys and ideas, can you help me?

I was a bit confused when I went poking around in the textures for this mod, and found a texture set for the Courier 6 Power Armour, for those who don't know, its a personal armour that you find in the NCRCF. Anyway the reason I was confused was because Legion wearing the looted power armour, had the Courier 6 textures on it. how do I correct this?

NCR by a mile, they actually have the potential to become a safe haven from the wasteland and will defintely last longer then the Legion.

If you can be bothered or are really that curious, a while ago I posted a topic about some Ideas I had for various factions around the Mohave. Well I've decided to act on them. I'm starting this mod series with the much neglected fiends. Those crazy hooligans. Anyway one of the new enemy types they will have, are Fiend Psycho's. Essentialy they are mini hulks who have taken too much Psycho and Buffout, ergo they're fricking insane. I decided to use a super mutant body as their mesh, and some custom scrap armour I'm making. And to actually make them look different then actual mutants, I will be using the Fleshy Super Mutants as a resource (I'll get permission first) Do you guys know how to make a new enemy NPC?

yeah I'm against this, it isn't what Skyrim or Elder scrolls for that matter are about. Then again I would say that if it was just a copy of Horde mode or Zombie mode. If it was only able to be done, in a arena or something, then I'm in.

What I'm asking is how do I make a brand spankin' new creature?

I'm going to make the Toaster's dream a reality......I'm going to help him burn the world. It was a simple process. All he did was place his memory core into a prototype securitron named wheely, then things took off from there. He escaped Big Mountain carving a path of Robo and Appliatory Genocide to New Vegas....where the ultimate appliance awaited him.....A coffee maker. But something went wrong, he was forced to shelter himself in Crescent Canyon, an old bunker there suited his needs just fine. Now some also say that an old AI named Skynet was there as well.... Well enough for story time. the bottom lines is I'm not sure whether to just give a securitron the tv face of a toaster, or to replace the TV head with the Toaster himself, hammy glory intact. I can make the Bunker fairly easily, but I'm not sure how to make a new NPC. Or for that matter New Creatures. Can you help the Toaster that could?
