  1. I had this problem when I first installed a BBP-enabled body replacer along with walking/running animations that utilized it. There was an arm skeleton fix rolling around here, but I can't remember its name. Installing it should do the trick though. I know it did for me, so hopefully it'll fix it for you too. It doesn't matter what body replacer you find the fix for, they all use the exact same skeleton... I think.
  2. I need to reinstall Skyrim because I managed to break vampirism somehow, making Dawnguard very difficult to play if you choose to become a vampire. More specifically, it's not detecting my character as a vampire when I clearly am, and making the follow-up quests past the initiation impossible to start. Anywho, my question is: when uninstalling Skyrim through Steam, does it delete the whole installation folder, or only the files it had originally downloaded and installed? I ask because some of the mods I have installed were a major pain in the ass to get working or tweak to perfection and rather not delete them along with the whole game. Should I individually pick out everything I want to save, or is it okay to leave it where it is?
  3. Is there a mod that is the Skyrim equivalent of the Groovatron in FO:NV and FO3? I need something which lets me grab NPCs and place them where and how I want.
  4. Is there a mod in which vampirism doesn't cause your character's appearance to change? I've sifted through a good deal of vampirism mods but haven't been able to find one.
  5. Chances are it has nothing to do with your current version of the game. Ever since that last update on NMM everyone has been having problems with loading/installing/uninstalling mods. I get the feeling it might be a combination of BOSS + NMM that are causing it, but I'm no expert. I advise that you wait until the issue has been solved and not try to load SKSE or Skyrim using NMM.
  6. Piece of advice: don't try to start your game with this version of NMM, it corrupts your save files.. every single one of them. Luckily I had backed them up about a week ago. It's probably best if we wait until they fix the problem.
  7. I was thinking of doing the same thing, but I don't want to make the problem worse. :(
  8. Yeah, same thing is happening to me as well. It asked me if I wanted to download the new BOSS version and I did, the next thing I know it keeps crashing when I try to activate/deactivate esp's or esm's. Guessing it was something to do with BOSS?
  9. I prefer the Nexus much more over Steam. The audience is a bit more receptive here and allow mods for the mature player. I really doubt you'll be able to find be able to find any of the body replacers in the workshop. That's already a big fat NO on my book. Although the workshop is nice if you're just looking to tweak the game a little or for something minor like new weapons. It has its uses too I guess.
  10. It'll come out when it comes out. I honestly don't think Beth will be able to release it as planned. Even if it were to come out tomorrow first thing in the morning, it would still take modders a couple of weeks to get accustomed to the new tool. Then another month or four to roll out some quality mods. So don't get too excited when it's finally released. The funny thing about most instruction manuals and guides is that they tend to confuse people more than they help them learn. Ironically, home made video tutorials do a better job explaining than the official documentation. I'd say the biggest thing is that the home made ones don't use all the technical jargon official ones do (although the NV G.E.CK. one was nice). It's more of a "this button does this, which helps when you're making such-and-such. this button over here makes stuff bigger... etc"
  11. lol yeah this has always annoyed me with Bethesda's games. The feet look ugly. I tend to keep my boots on to prevent having to look at them xD
  12. There's actually a tweak someone came up with to reduce the FPS drop to practically zero. If you look in the comments made on the mod's Nexus entry you'll find a modified .esp they made. It works like a charm for me, hopefully it does the same for you if you don't already have it. As for the heels using this system, there aren't that many unfortunately... I'm not sure if you already have these, but you can find a small pack here. The site contains some adult content though, just a heads up.
  13. Hey guys, I've been looking for the 2-handed weapon idle shown here, and also the outfit shown here. I think I saw the weapon idle here on the Nexus but can't find it again.. as for the outfit, I looked around a bit but have no idea where to start. Any leads on either mod would be appreciated! :)
  14. Can anyone tell me what mods were used in these pics? Everything in them: outfit, weapon, race, and poses. Thanks in advance.
  15. I have a somewhat similar problem to this. I move around some armor pieces in nifskope and save, but the armor meshes end up inside the character model somehow.
  16. Ah yeah, it was the Moonshadow Blossom buff. You just saved me the hassle of reinstalling the game. Thanks a ton!
  17. I got Oblivion the other day and began playing it today after installing it. The first thing that I noticed was that when I used the third person view, my character was translucent like a ghost. It wasn't like using the chameleon spell or anything. Now, I've seen a lot of screenies of players showing off their characters, and none of them looked so transparent... am I doing something wrong? The only mods I'm using right now are the moonshadow elves race, and HGEC body replacer. I've tried the archive invalidation techniques I was told to do without avail. Is there a switch I'm supposed to flip to make my character opaque again? Or is that a game mod too? I'll post a screenie of the issue as soon as I can find out how to take one in the first place.
  18. A while back the same thing happened to me. I solved it by disabling Nevada Skies completely, loading up the game and saving it while the mod was off. Then just reactivate it and restart the game. If that doesn't work, try disabling the other mods that visually alter the game like Cinematech and Dynavision. If both fail, then try running the game vanilla and slowly begin adding mods to the load order until you find the culprit. Should it still CTD, the problem may lie elsewhere. It may be that there's a conflict NVEdit doesn't pick up. Because that's happened a few times with FO3 that I can remember. Tracking down mods that cause the game to crash is usually a major pita.
  19. I've been looking at it both clothed and nude. I have this funny feeling that the file name of the body mesh's normal map isn't what I think it is in NV, unlike FO3. The GECK and Nifskope haven't been useful either in locating the file that the mesh uses as a normal map. I know Shiloh's DS custom race uses them fine though.
  20. After messing around with it for a couple days I came to the conclusion that the normal maps just simply aren't being loaded at all, and I have no idea why. Can anyone shed some light on the problem?
  21. I had a similar problem once. Turns out that if you got a mod that gives you an undroppable item (such as Imps Timescale Adjuster), the game crashes because that item wasn't meant to be separated from the player or something. All that needed to be done was to temporarily disable the mod until you get past the part where you're stripped down. At very least, this was what worked for me. On a second play through of the game I had to disable a mod which drastically altered the game's functions, namely Real Time Settler. Play around with your mods list a bit. Start by turning off the ones that add or change the most content first and work your way down to the smaller ones. Hope it helps.
  22. I've installed Divinex's oiled skin mod on a Type3 body mesh in FO3 before, and it displayed as shown in the screenshots that came with the files. But when I installed it on NV, the body (upperbodyfemale_n.dds) doesn't look quite as how they are supposed to appear. The normal map makes the skin look like sand-blasted stainless steel instead of looking like nice and shiny oiled skin. It looks significantly duller than shown. However, the hands and head still display the normal map correctly. Some of the things I've done so far to try to fix it include reinstalling the normal maps, reinstalling the Type3 body mesh, and making sure archive invalidation was properly activated. Is there anything I missed? Also, I've noticed that when using the Type3 body in FO3, wound decals were invisible for some reason unless wearing an unconverted vanilla armor for the custom body mesh. In NV wound decals are clearly visible on a Type3 body, if that helps narrow down the problem. Any feedback is appreciated!
  23. Worked out great. Thanks a bunch! Funny thing you should mention that. I just got to that part of the game... thanks for the heads up, I'll look for the mod. Kudos to both of you. :)
  24. The custom race? I'm not quite sure what to tinker with anymore at this point. What I have noticed though is that the hair mod alters the current races within the game, and since the I made a custom race it's not in that list of races to be modified. I'm guessing the races it lists are the ones that get the scripts to include all the neat things it has. I have no idea how to include the custom race I made into that list, however. :(
