  1. Hey, So I've got this weird issue with vortex where it doesn't download mods when I click on download with mod manager. My firefox is setup to redirect nxm links to vortex, and somehow Vortex does recognize I clicked the download button, it just doesn't do anything. I ran Vortex as admin to check, and when I click the download with manager button, I get a Vortex UAC prompt, and if I click Yes, nothing happens. The only way to download mods is to paste the direct nxm link in the URL section of the downloads page, but if I want to download more than one mod, it is not feasible. Also reinstalling Vortex is not an option as I have a very heavy modlist that reinstalling would break. Anyone have any clue as to what's happening ?
  2. Hey, I know this sounds like a classical blackface bug, but to my knowledge, this shouldn't happen. I have a lot of mods in my modlist (250), but I only want to change an NPCs hair from Helgen Reborn (HR) with one from KS Hairdos (wigs, HDT, or just classic). Problem is, no matter what I do, I get a blackface bug on said NPC [1]. Using "SetNPCWeight 100" fixes it [2], but that only works temporarily as any reload, area change or restart brings back the blackface What I did is I loaded SSEdit, created a new plugin with **only** the NPC in question from Helgen Reborn (meaning the only two plugins that modify the NPC are HR and my plugin.) SSEdit doesn't allow me to set .esp files as masters, so I loaded ZEdit and proceeded to add all the hair mods as masters to my file (no changes to HR). Then I went back to SSEdit and promptly changed the NPCs hair in my plugin. One odd thing I noticed is that when I do change the hair, instead of keeping it in the same line as the hair from HR, it just adds a new line with the modded hair in it, and the default hair area is just blank [3]. My plugin is loaded dead last in my load order, and the only thing it does is change the hair of the NPC, but every time I load up the game, I get a blackface on that NPC. I don't know what to do from here as the load order is properly setup, the only changes my plugin does to the NPC is the hair, and all the hair mods as well as HR are masters of my plugin. I did read about redoing the facegen files with Ctrl+F4 on Creation Kit, but afaik you need to convert your plugins to a readable mod format for CK, make the changes, and convert it back, which is quite a lot of work, especially considering I'm not really well versed in CK. I'll provide some screenshots of what I made later. I'd also like to note that I have made backups every single time I made changes to a plugin, so I can always rollback if need be and nothing will be lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank you. Screenshots: [1] [blackface with the modified Hair] [2] [Fixed Blackface with "SetNPCWeight" command] [3] [sSEdit Hair modification blocks] EDIT: I looked around for how to regenerate facegen files with CK, and honestly I'm bummed out. I get a crapton of errors [4] [5] [6] when loading my patch and their masters (I modified the .ini accordingly to support loading multiple master files and such [7] [8]) along with a list of error warnings [9], and whenever I try to save anything, I get another set of errors [10] [11] and nothing gets saved. I also can't find anything on how to regen the facegen files, pressing Ctrl+F4 does nothing, so I'm out of ideas. 3. Hi, I've been playing on my modded save for some time now, and didn't have too many problems (they're usually small stuff that's quick to fix). But recently I picked up the Eldergleam quest, and upon trying to leave the cave I get a normal loading screen, then an infinite black screen with sound. I've tried waiting it out, then I did some research, and none of the fixes I found online worked (though a lot of them are for oldrim). I tried my own troubleshooting by loading a previous save (I can go in and out of skyrim just fine), but as soon as I'm up to the eldergleam cave in terms of progress, anytime I try to go to skyrim from any room my loading screen freezes. I tried teleporting myself to NPCs outside the cave, and it works fine if they're outside, but if they're inside and I try to leave the building, I get an infinite loading screen again. I've also installed various fixes from nexusmods and such, none of them seem to have made a difference. Anyone know what causes this ? Note: Here's my load order
  4. Same problem here. Thank you so much! It works! That's one necro if I've ever seen one. At least that helped you I guess.
  5. Bro, ever since I posted this, I had stopped playing Skyrim as I had spent more than 10 hours trying to fix the CTDs, to no avail. It's just been sitting there, taunting me for 2 months. When I saw someone necroed my post, I was like "why tf would you do that", and then I read what you posted, and downloaded the mod, AND MY GAME DOESN'T CRASH ANYMORE. You are a lifesaver, I've been dying to continue playing my save without having to reinstall everything, thank you so much. To anyone else who might have the same problem as we did, v3nture321's linked mod fixed it. I'm so goddammn happy right now.
  6. So I've been playing a modded Skyrim SE for hours and hours now, and haven't had a single problem until now. I'm currently in Solstheim, and I have to use "Bend Will" to free the people from the stones and destroy them. Problem is, after using Bend Will, the stone starts to break, and when it explodes, the game freezes then instantly CTDs, without any error or anything. I don't have any mod that afffects Solstheim in any way. The only mod(s) that could affect this are the More Shouts and Better Shout Cooldowns, but they don't affect the stones or the Solstheim quests themselves. Up until now, I have managed to cleanse one stone only after restarting the game 8 times now, trying with different mod combinations, but they never work twice. I have 130+ mods, so uninstalling them all and reinstalling isn't really a viable option. At this point, any solution to fix/skip the stone quest is welcome, since I can't progress without them. Also I've tried looking into it with SSEdit, but as I said, having 130+ mods doesn't make it all that easy. Here's my LOOT order: EDIT: So after restarting the game more than a dozen times, running normally, as admin, I managed to cleanse 2 more stones, but the CTDs vary from crashing on the explosion (like mentioned earlier) to crashing a few seconds after exploding or a few seconds after the Lurker spawning. I'm bummed right now, can't figure out what is causing this. I do have the papyrus logs, so if anyone knows what they mean, here you go (because I've read them but didn't manage to figure out the reason for the crash). Here's the logs to date:
  7. Kinda unfortunate that it doesn't support physics, but you can't get everything I guess. I thought I made sure that the first one overrides the 2nd one (I thought 1st one was for outfits only and 2nd one for armors only). I'll make sure I use the 1st one only. Thanks for the help, and great job on the mod, keep at it ! Also would you happen to know how to fix the 2nd problem I have ? (different face and body textures/colors).
  8. Hi, So I've recently gotten back into skyrim, and as usual, decided to mod the crap out of it. Now as everyone knows, no one installs 50+ mods and makes them work on the first run. The most recent issue I've run into is applying physics to an armor replacer mod, and actually using those armors. The game correctly applies physics using the HDT mod from 9dm on normal clothing and armor as well as when naked, but whenever I try to use the replacing armor, the CBBE body is there with all the changes, but is simply static. I've tried batch building in Bodyslide on all the armors (Vanille or Replacer), on some armors, or none, as well as adding the physics weights manually through Outfit Studio, but I get the same result: Physics are present on Vanilla clothing and armor but not on replacer armor. Every other mod works flawlessly, except for the Bijin mod pack (Warmaidens, Wives and NPCs). The problem I have with the Bijin pack is that the head has a slightly different head color than the body. I've tried messing around in Vortex and loading orders (Load before, Load after, etc...), but I'm still new to the program. Those 2 are my biggest issues, but all my other mods work fine. Every time I make a modification, I always run FNIS, and then LOOT to make sure everything is going fine (as well as running SSEdit for a quick clean). Here is my mod list as well as plugins and load order: Here's a screenshot of how the Bijin head+body looks like:
  9. Nothing is impossible until you make it ;)
  10. Hi everyone, I tried to install the following mods (in the attatched file), and I have problems with some of the animations, some of them are not working (like HDT), so I wanted to ask this wonderful community to help me install these mods right. Every solution to make all these mods is welcome. But If someone could give me a full step by step detailed guide to install this I would be really glad. If you need any more details just ask and i'll give it to you. Thanks for helping :)
