  1. Please send me a link where I can download it please. RC6 would work fine to
  2. Wouldn't touch this topic with a 100 foot pole.
  3. typically when I ever get low FPS, I set graphics to AUTO, then start to fine tune my PC's hardware. Such as NB and HT speed, those allow proper bandwidth from RAM to CPU and GPU when set correctly. Which usually eliminates any bottleneck and allows for more consistent FPS if you aren't getting the performance you think you should for the hardware you have, get anti virus and run scans, also do benchmarks and compare to similar hardware setups benchmarks scores. Then, once you have done all of that such as adjusting RAM timings and GPU clock and mem clock or CPU bus speed and multipliers and voltages, set proper BIOS options. Then!, can you adjust iNi settings, and google has more info on THAT then I do. -Vic
  4. Simpley open Realtek Manager, set to 5.1, tick the option "speaker fill" , untick all optional speakers and click ok. Launch the game, enjoy. Disregard this fix. EDIT: EXITED THE GAME TO MAKE THIS POST. LOADED IT BACK AND THE SOUNDS WERE BACK TO NORMAL. Mod plz delete this thread.
  5. I did the texture's on Kring(The first sword in the video). Darren83 is a good project lead and it would be nice to have more of the modder community join on the project. Still a work in progress but looking great so far! http://i62.tinypic.com/1zwyecj.jpg http://i57.tinypic.com/29ztnok.jpg
  6. I am happy to say that I figured it out! Following this tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?annotation_id=annotation_597115&feature=iv&src_vid=8hYHj2Dy49s&v=dR7AuIHyDR4 I was able to create my own custom UV map, complete with near perfect seams. http://s30.postimg.org/ud034p7pd/nexustut1.png http://s30.postimg.org/6bt738sw1/nexustut2.png Next I followed this tutorial for the purpose of its well explained BSshaderlighting options. http://www.birrabrothers.com/drac/index.php?dsps=210 With it I was able to make a nif nearly from scratch from Skyrim's Broom01.nif in the clutter\common meshe directory. I had to play a lot with different settings to get it to work, but I am pleased with myself for creating this nearly entirely from scratch. I learning much about the how everything works. In a month's time I will know ton's more. http://s27.postimg.org/o0s8ta0ub/nifnexus1.png I hope someone can elaborate on the BSlightingshaderproperty values needed for a stable release of this simple Oiltank meshes and nif files. I want to fill in the blanks and/or gaps of missing required values. Watched this tutorial about 200 times today it feels (really just a lot of pausing and rewinding and waiting for his tips in the annotations) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6t_yECNDXNA Gave me a great handle on creating my textures from scratch, a good place to start but not the best way it can be done. :I know, its an Oiltank, not a cube: :-p http://i60.tinypic.com/2z9dsb9.jpg http://i62.tinypic.com/aac5fs.jpg http://i61.tinypic.com/m7arnq.jpg I know it isn't perfect but it's a start! looking forward to the following days. much to learn! Tips I learned: Smooth Normals in NIfskope if you have edgy seems(quick fix) Recommended fix would be to create a custom UV Map from scratch so you fine tune your seams. Help you manually place textures easier. If your textures are black, turn on vertex colors. double check your texture paths Errors in any step are NOT GOOD!, I only get one and its a common navmesh error in CK. If at first you don't succeed try again!
  7. Ok, I fixed this issue, it was because I was using nifskope 1.1.0 RC4, Upgraded to 1.1.0 RC5 and it fixed all my issues. Back on topic, now that I have textures working correctly I cannot rid the common "shine" now. I think it has to do with my normal map and the greyscale in the 4th channel. For some reason when near a light source the shine is crazy bright. I have messed with all BSlightingshaderproperties values as per tutorials and just messing with it myself too didn't work. I tried different cubemaps Currently I am making a the shape of a CUBE from scratch in Cinema 4D, then will be making textures from scratch aswell. Following tutorials I have watched and read at various sites and if I figure out if it was the direction normals were facing in the 3D editor or whatever it is, I will let you guys and gals know how and if I fixed it. -Vic
  8. Update: 6/30/14 - Found a fix and I posted my results in the third post of this thread. I just returned to modding this game. I made a nice mesh of a Banana for practice and even made a great texture. The problem is the texture doesn't show up at all. I get a metallic shine with no detail. I will attach my textures as they stand. I have tried various methods from these sources. https://www.youtube.com/watch?annotation_id=annotation_14706&feature=iv&src_vid=8hYHj2Dy49s&v=6t_yECNDXNA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwPIUDFi5_Y http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/topic/4636-graphic-artistry-reference-sheet/ here's an example of what it looks like in creation kit. It looks exactly the same in-game. http://s11.postimg.org/u6lisgroz/help1.png I use adobe 64bit CS6 extended Edition - first thing I noticed is every time I open a texture in there it has an alpha background and in the video his is gray. I use the 64bit Nvidia DDS program - tried to save in dxt5 for all 3 at first, then tried dxt1 on diffuse, and dxt3 on the rest to no avail. Turned vortex colors on and it didn't help. Went over the texture paths over and over, they look correct. My Nifskope is the latest and when i delete a Nitrishapedata it doesn't put the BSlightingshaderproperty outside the file, it stays current and the numbers seem to add up even in blood obj side. My normal map has mostly blue and little purple My environment map is mostly black and gray Been up all night trying to get this to work haha so fun. Someone please help me and look at my texture files and/or tell me if using all the 64bit apps is incompatible or something with anything. I am linking to my texture files including a copy of the original diffuse map still in png format untweaked. Click the torrent.rar at the top next to download to download it without registering http://www.speedyshare.com/NnzSB/Textures.rar http://www.speedyshare.com/3rpGz/Texture.png Thanks so much to anyone who can help. -Vic
