  2. Hi, in my current savegames, it takes me about 6.5 skill levels to get 1 character level. While normally I wouldn't mind, it does somewhat interfere with the gameplay, as now the world surrounding my char levels almost 66% faster than before. Is there a file within the game directory with which I can fix this or a mod that changes it? While Skyrim already lets me be overpowered, I'd really like to have a choice of being overpowered and not being forced into it. Sometimes I just want to run around with a set of bog-standard leather armor and an iron sword. Any help would be much appreciated.

  4. That's the thing, they don't require a heel system. The mods worked fine before, but now they don't. (I remembered that I reset my body replacer too, without effect).
  5. I am not using MAO. The error occurs on outfits from the Romaje Chest and also from some of Neovinci's outfits. Currently using Corronas Maximum Compatibility Skeleton.
  6. Hi, I've been away from my PC for quite some time and just got back. Of course I immediatly fired up ye olden PC and started Oblivion. Due to unknow circumstances the textures/meshes stretch right across the screen to infinity (already reinstalled the mods concerned and also reinstalled the skeleton). This happens in a few outfits, though most other (from the same mod no less) are unaffected. To be honest, I am a bit of newb and have no idea if this problem is related to an incompatible skeleton (if yes, any suggestions other than Corrona's MCS -it doesn't work in this situation- would be welcome), the textures or the meshes. Any help would be much appreciated.
  7. That really didn't work. It seems that the mod also changed the BSA (damn!) and thereby made all my efforts amount to nothing. I tried replacing the female meshes with the male ones, but that didn't help either. Also, now it doesn't show anything, when I put on the armour, the torso just disappears, a problem that I had before with another mod (pretty sure its conflicting meshes). I'll fiddle around a bit more and see what happens... Edit: Alright, I reinstalled and it works nicely, good side effect: I changed the female mesh to the male mesh, so it doesn't look so much like the female version belongs to some malnourished, completely unathletic person.
  8. Ah well, I'll just download a (non-sexual) replacer. While I am not going to backup 20GB of data, I still thank you for your help.
  9. So I overwrote my my KOTN DLC, because I wanted to install an armour conversion, thinking that I would not need the original one. Turns out, after starting up the quest again, the female version of the armour looks extremely inappropriate and would be ridicoulus to use for a "serious" playthrough. So, can someone maybe put up the texture, mesh and .esp files for the normal armour? I have the Steam version of the Game of the Year Edition, so if I can simply delete the file and re-download, that'll be fine too. Just kinda want an appropriate armour. Many thanks in advance for any helpful replies.
  10. How about the one at Hero Hill...um...near Cheydinhal, somewhere in the Wilderness, its even put into the grand map as a (small) body of water. It certainly fits the description. I'll edit this, once I check on it and give you the exact location. Edit: It is a short distance south-east of Cheydenhal. And wow, your spot looks very nice.
  11. Very small wish from me (already in love with the game): Put the Hotkeys on the numerals and single tap to put the item in the left hand, double tap for the right hand. No Idea how the hotkey system is integrated, but this would be intuitive.

  13. Fort Nikel has a group of bandits and a group of marauders who battle eachother. Makes for easy loot. Also, Red Ruby Cave (up north, below Frostcrag Spire) was a major source of income for me. The only enemies in there are Animals, so you can speedrun it with Boots of the Crusader. Also the loot there is always high-level enchanted stuff, so its a really easy way to get some cash. Though to be honest, I never really needed my cash, as I either lotted high-level enmies or got some Amber and Madness Ore to get the corosponding armour in the Shivering Isles. Other than that, just kill a bunch of Marauders and Bandits and haul their armour to the closest marketplace.
  14. 955. You can reforge a broken sword without a furnace or any additional materials other than a hammer and said sword. 956. Vampires can only drain the blood of the sleeping, anyone who awakens is obviously untouchable. 957. For no reason what-so-ever, the female armour looks like it has inferior combat qualities, but still retains the same defencive value (iron greaves). 958. The end of the world will be postponed until the player character has beaten the arena, gotten some loot from multiple dungeons, punched a troll to death,etc. 959. Everyone, no matter how thin their clothing is immune to snow and frost, as long as it occurs naturally.
  15. As Crudius has shown, there are some Mods that make the standard races better. Mostly though, you can get decent results without mods (if for some reason you won't use them). Normally its a lot about very small changes in the different categories, within which you will have to switch around a lot, if you want to construct a good-looking character. For example, to neutralize large eyebrows, but not eliminate them, try using the eyeshadow option or a similiar color-option within the eye-region. Just fiddle around with the settings for it and hit the reset button, when you mess up, since it is easier to start fresh, than to fix a mistake. This is mostly due to the fact, that most sliders affect many other sliders within the same category, making it more or less impossible to get it back the way it was and just making the mistakes more glaring. The custom races of course go a long way to fix these problems, as they are almost exclusivly well-crafted, especially for the female characters. I'm currently playing with Battle Spire Dark Elves, since all you really have to do is tweak the chin, nose and cheek (gauntness mostly) settings to get a very handsome/beautiful character. However with Ahata's (spelling?) Argonian Replacer, the Argonians can be stunning aswell. The only race that will probably stay ugly as sin, for as long as it exists is the Ork race, but I guess that's in character for them.
  16. Haskill and Shoegorath, the Dynamic Duo. Sheogorath for his mad antics and constant cheery voice (Occasionally I didn't quite get what I was supposed to do, because I was laughing too much). Also, he is the first genuinely friendly person you meet in the Shivering Isles and oddly enough seems to be the second most sane person there. Haskill for being able to put up with Sheogorath and stoicly standing by your side throughout your journies in the Shivering Isles. Both of them for being main characters in the most entertaining, well told storyline/quest in the game.

I thought that the implementation of horse-combat in Mount and Blade was done well, but I do think that the horses would only be useful in the steppes and not so much in the forrest, where you just one tree away from getting a mouth full of wood. So while horse combat would have enhanced the experience a bit, I don't think that Skyrim will suffer from the lack of it. While it is a thing of style, I personally prefer to just walk around on foot and explore the world at a slower pace.
  18. @ Midnak: Agreed, as it would make it into a nice utility spell. What I would like to see would be the ability to: 1. Conjur groups of weak creatures to swamp my enemies, mostly so I can shout "Attack, my minions!" in front of my PC. 2. Lengthen the time limit or just remove it entirely and just keep the health bar. 3. Make the equipement conjuration a bit more streamline, so that I can summon an entire suit of armour and weapons with one spell.
  19. I think that the "dumbing-down" will be somewhat limited and that we PC gamers will still get a few perks (oh...like I don't know...mods!) and that the game will be awesome. I mean, shucks, Bethesda still thinks the PC gamers are important, otherwise they would have just chucked out the mod tools. However, while it certainly isn't justified to cry "Bloody murder!", I still don't like the general trend of orienting the specs of the game on what the console can do.

I'll be just dandy as long as it's just the dungeons that load and not every single room within a building (even though it is quick, it still kinda disrupts the game flow, while with a dungeon it gives you time to kinda change mental gears from "oh, I'm prancing through beautiful nature" to "ARGH, they are everywhere". Though that might just be me. Also, this is not to say that I enjoy loading times, just that I have found a way to tolerate them. It would have course be great to have a sort of streaming loading or whatnot, but if not, then that's fine as well.
  21. Dark Elf Conjurer/Archer. But maybe something melee oriented with a bit of magic chucked in (due to it looking super-mega-awesome and being useful as a "high-damage-spike"). Probably though a dark elf, since they just fit in so nicely to the setting. Though of course I'll be pretty torn on the entire thing and once more my save-game file will take up a good chunk of memory.

I wouldn't mind it, but I think that it would hurt Bethesda (in the U.S.), as it would probably crank up the age rating there (no idea what it currently is) and generate a media ****storm, as a "Sex, Murder, Anti-Dragon, Communist, Game" is about to be released (obviously). Also the fact that they keep the easy moddability (modiness?) is more or less an invitation to the great modders, to do whatever they find reasonable. If Bethesda uses it for artistic purposes (Spriggans and *Spoiler Alert* Lucien's dead body come to mind) I think it would certainly enhance the gameplay. I don't really care that much about the age ratings part, since 1. I'm in Germany and 2. I think its already rated "M" in the U.S.(?). I just don't want it to be a gimmick to attract horny gamers.
  23. Thank you for the (very fast) help, I'm not confident enough in my mad haxxorz skillz to change around a few scripts, but maybe I can find Sheogorath's Staff in the testinghall, so thanks. Edit: I should have anticipated that it is only a temporary spell effect 20s or so. Oh well, I'll probably just do without it (unless at some point I venture into the "Data" depths of my Oblivion folder with mod tools at hand).
  24. Is it possible to "lock" an actor in an animation, so that you can go into the depths of Oblivion, finish the main quest, toss the annoying fan into the ocean and return, to find them sitting in the same animation that you put them in (with EFG, JOJO, or whatever)? If there is a console command for it, I haven't found it and no mod or other forum topic could be found after a bit of searching (I am not going to go through over 9000 posts!). So apologies if this is a stupid question and thanks in advance for any answers.
