  1. Hurry back. It still has problems carried over from the last UI overhaul, but there are several solid improvements and no real downside I've seen so far. That said, the original UI still did some things better. Isn't there some way I can read the entire mod title and short description in the hotfiles without having to click through to the mod page. Rollover text or something? Please?
  2. If you're committed to the website redesign could you at least fix it? Put some descriptions on the front page so I don't have to click through and load a bunch more pictures on my slow connection just to find out what a mod does? And make the updates button show all the updates? This site seems to be more about pictures these days than mods.
  3. In response to post #55255308. #55256923, #55257018, #55257068, #55257338, #55257343, #55259548, #55259848, #55259863 are all replies on the same post. I hate it too. I'm a premium member, does my opinion count?
  4. I believe I've figured it out. About ten levels ago, I noticed my character's face had reset to vanilla. I used SLM 14 to fix it instead of making the schlep to Diamond City. I think that may have been what caused it. I went through some old saves, and found the problem exists at level 46, but not at level 47 (this save I hadn't taken a perk yet, so it wasn't that). Looks like I'm playing the last 10 levels over, including entering the Institute, getting the RR quests done enough to unlock ballistic weave, and starting Nuka World. Damn. I guess I know not to do that again.
  5. I'm at level 56 and I have realized I'm autohealing after combat. I'm playing in survival. I've tried disabling all my mods, that made no difference. And I tried toggling survival off and back on (used a mod for that, of course), again, that didn't fix it. Anybody have any idea why this might have happened?
  6. With Tannin joining the NMM crew MO2 will never be finished, sorry to say. Best we can hope for is more MO-like features in the new NMM (whatever it ends up being called). Big changes for the Nexus Mod Manager and the introduction of Tannin42, our new head of NMM development
  7. In response to post #25911623. Maybe not free, but Steam has all Fallout titles on sale for 40-50% off.
  8. How would I check to see if a specific NPC is in the same cell as the PC?
  9. As someone mentioned below, tracking is down. And count me as another whose NMM doesn't recognized his premium status.
  10. Didn't refresh before editing the above. The Boolean does just what I wanted, I can now tell if the PC is hatless or not. Thanks again for your help.
  11. Thank you kind sir. I'm going to save that doc for future reference. And I see that that would be a NVSE function, GTK. So to verify, would this work as a true/false? Like so: Depening on whether the PC is wearing a hat, right? EDIT: Never mind, I find that it does. Thanks again for your help.
  12. Is there a way for a script to check if the PC currently has an item equipped in a given slot, hat, eyeglasses, whatever?
  13. And, here's the result: Helios Jr Portable Solar Energy Cell Charger I'll be using a variation of the same script for a gas powered version. Thanks again for your help, Belthan.
  14. Thanks. Now I can make my cook time dynamic and let the user know how long it will take. A mensch is what you are.
  15. One more question on this, if anyone is about this morning. I'm using the second script above as the core of my "oven", is there any way that the "oven in use" message could display the remaining time on the timer? (Preferably in a reasonably normal fashion, i.e 6 hours, or 6.5 hours rather than .2471 days or some such.) Thanks...
  16. In response to post #8564520. #8567629 is also a reply to the same post. Lost at least half of my NV tracks.
  17. Thanks so much, Belthan. That ought to be enough to get me working in the right direction.I'll drop you a note when I finish it.
  18. OK, not a magic box exactly, but the subject line can only contain so much. Basically, I want to script a container so that the PC puts certain specific items in it and after a defined period of time passes in game those items are replaced by the same number of a different item. So, an easy bake oven script, essentially. Any help that is given will be appreciated. Thanks.
  19. For a game so steeped in Western culture, there's a disturbing lack of proper Western facial hair in New Vegas. Like a real handlebar mustache, Buffalo Bill and Colonel Sanders style mustache and pointy goatees, the Sam Elliott, Wyatt Earp, and Mark Twain style mustaches, and maybe some epic beards a la Grizzly Adams and ZZ Top. Please, and thank you! :{>
  20. Finally, this site renders correctly on Firefox on my lappy! I was so tired of overlapping content.
