  1. A while ago, I had the idea of re-creating classic Fallout locations from Fallout's 1 and 2, and the most eager one that I wished to re-create was Vault City from Fallout 2. I did attempt to search, to see if anyone had actually had the same idea as me and did re-create Vault City in Fallout 3, but it lead to no success. :wallbash: Now that my modding skills are improving (slowly) I decided to attempt to create Vault City, but then a light bulb appeared over my head and I had an Idea. What if, by some odd coincidence, that a Vault didn't do as it was meant to. What if a Vault opened and saw what the world had become, and what if this Vault had a GECK. That gave me the Idea of Fallout 3 New Paradise. New Paradise was created when members of a Vault-Tec Vault used the GECK in a suburban area, and they created (literally) a Paradise. They rebuilt the area between the Capital Wasteland and Vault 99 (The Vault they came from), and alas, New Paradise was born. Unfortunately, the area between New Paradise and The Capital Wasteland is heavily irradiated, blocking off travel. And the rocky landscape in the surrounding area pretty much lets New Paradise go undisturbed. Until someday in 2227, when the original leader of New Paradise went missing in Vault 99's sister Vault, Vault 98. Vault 98 was like Vault 87, but much, much worse. Most of the inhabitants either became Feral Ghouls, or Super Mutants. They lived in secret in Vault 98 for many years, until they eventually found out how to open the Vault door. Yes, it took Super Mutants 150 years to figure out how to open a door. They're not the smartest creatures created by FEV, are they? From that day on, they lead attacks on the eastern side of New Paradise. Until, the leader of New Paradise, a man named Arnold Stephenson, ventured to the Vault, hoping to put it all to an end. He was lost that day, and New Paradise was split into two factions; Those who believed they should stay in New Paradise, and Those who believed it would be safer to retreat back into Vault 99 rather than fortify the city. And so, Vault City was born. A giant city, built inside a mountain. Its been 50 years since then, and the events of Fallout 3 occur. The stories of the Lone Wanderer spread far and wide. How he reclamated Anchorage, saved The Pitt, destroyed the last remnants of the Enclave, ventured to Point Lookout and survived and even stopped an alien invasion, this inspires the Grandchild of Arnold to leave the safety of New Paradise and venture to The Capital Wasteland insearch of the Lone Wanderer, in hopes that they might be able to end the Super Mutant threat. This is where New Paradise begins. That is the back-story of New Paradise. Im currently designing the quests and such for New Paradise. Luckily I have the GOTY edition so i'll hav access to every item in Fallout 3, so designing the vast area will not be that hard. A slight problem is that my intial designs of New Paradise, Vault City and Vault 98 (plus a location im not revealing until the mod is 100% complete and released for download) is rougly the size of Point Lookout. Now, I would like to hear your comments. And if there are any mods out there that could help me with this project. I will constantly update this thread with everything I do on the project. Heres to New Paradise :nuke:  :nuke:
