  1. I have always had a bit of a problem with the Blades in Skyrim. They are supposed to serve the Dragonborn, however they try to bully the DB into doing their bidding. If they are supposed to serve, than they should obey his orders? Well, what if instead of eradicating the Dragons you wish to investigate taming them? I was thinking there may be Legends of old where this was done, or it would tie into the Bend Will shout. If you succeed than you might start seeing friendly dragons flying through skyrim with a member of the Blades on its back. A unique dragon mount for the DB would also be interesting. Admittedly this would be more for a Stormcloak Victory skyrim, as the Thalmar still hate the blades. Just an idea, but thought i would share it.
  2. With the release of the Venom movie, i thought it would be interesting to bring the symbiote to the realm of Skyrim. Could maybe do a short quest involving investigating a meteor strike, or maybe even making the symbiote into a creature from the realm of Molag Bal. I do not think a Venom being able to speak as you go along is possible, but would be cool. Its a silly idea i know, but thought i would share it.
  3. Skyrim is a rather expansive location, and since its release in 2011 we have seen mods made in every part of Skyrim and its DLC's. One location that I feel has been well and truly over looked is Blackreach. One of the coolest locations, and yet there has not been much done in the way of quest mods. This is my idea in a nut shell. The Dragonborn has recovered the Elder Scroll, but as he ventures onward something calls him back to the forgotten Dwemer ruins of Blackreach. An ancient presence demanding retribution for what the Falmer have done to this once great city, but to do this the Dragonborn needs help. Assemble a fighting force and take the ancient Dwemer ruin of Blackreach. Once the city is yours, then comes the time to rebuild and colonize the underground ruins. Set up shops, establish trade, bring in settlers, exc. This could also include mining the mineral wealth from the stones, and finding the ancient secrets buried in the ruins. Fund the reconstruction project, find experts, build up your power base. Soon you gain the attention of those who want to take Blackreach for their own. The Thalmer, or some other organization. While they can not invade Skyrim directly yet, they wish to use Blackreach as a staging point to build up their forces, harness the magics of Blackreach, and then skyrim. They first come and try to use diplomacy to get you out, but when that fails they choose to starve you out by blocking all enterances and exits to blackreach. How to resolve this could include finding an ancient tunnel/portal that you might have been finding clues to. Maybe even the ancient force that called him to begin with helps him. Once you are out you could then reach out to any allies you might have. Maybe even require you to take over the Guilds in skyrim. The Companions, Mages Guild, Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, and perhaps which ever faction you sided with in the Dawnguard DLC. Build another force to battle the Thalmer and break the blockade! This quest could also have some side storylines. Such as a little side quest to explain the random dragon in that sphere on the roof. Could use the same resources skyrim modder "ld50365" used in making the silverstead mod to help with construction, assuming said modder allowed it. Would also be cool to uncover lost Dwemer technologies. Things like "SpaceWiking" Dwemer Exoskeleton would be interesting. Find blue prints and slowly begin to fund research. Would come in handy if you had a squad of people wearing said armor to break the blockade. There are so many great mods out there that could be useful, and would actually be able to be recovered and used in a way that makes sense. Not just finding some book in a random location, or already having it in your forge options. Also the Blackreach Train mod would be interesting to use for this, or as an attachment.
  4. What I would like to see is a mod based in Blackreach. Maybe something DLC sized. Blackreach is one of my favorite locations in Skyrim, but it has been underutilized by modding community in my opinion. What I am thinking is the Reclamation of Blackreach, where the Dragonborn assembles a fighting force to conquer the dwemer ruin. Forge alliances, seek out resources, exc. Once it is done then comes the rebuilding and settlement process. Uncover ancient secrets of the Dwemer, this can include other mods such as the Dwemer Power Armor and the Dwemer train. Mind you the various technologies that might be recovered there wouldn't come at once. You would need to invest into their research and what not. But over time you gain the attention of others. Maybe the Thalmer, who might see Blackreach as a good staging point for their future conquest of Skyrim. Mind you, Blackreach has multiple enterances that are spread out across the old Dwemer Empire. So when diplomacy fails, they choose to starve you out. Blocking all exits. So you have to venture further into the Dwemer ruin, perhaps to seek a lost portal that have been mentioned here and there during earlier excavations. Could be something similar to those portals in the Dawnguard quest. Once you are out, you once again need to find allies to break the siege. This could include neighboring Jarls, the various guilds if you control them, and perhaps either the Dawnguard or Vampires(depending on who you sided with). A rather expansive mod, but it is an idea that has been floating around in my head for a while.

I know Skyrim is not as relevant to modders as Fallout 4 is, but I think this DLC sized mod would be fantastic. UPDATE: This could also be a good opportunity to explain that random Dragon contained in the Blackreach sphere.
  7. Recently after going through the Skyrim forum I came across a few mods that gave me an idea for a Quest. Specifically Tundra Defense, and mods created by Chesko (creator of Frostfall, Campfire, Art of the Catch, exc,). Anyway, this quest would start with your character having to set sail for some reason(Perhaps and opportunity to meet the Elder Council or Companion business), but your equipment has to be stored in the cargo vessel for the journey. Along the way your ship is struck by a typhoon and is destroyed. You awaken as the sole survivor of the ship on an island. Now you have to work towards survival. Gathering food, materials for construction, hunting, scavenging, exc. Maybe there are signs of previous inhabitants, but they are long gone. The cause of which comes out at night. Monsters of some sort, perhaps Falmer. Your character has to fight to survive, build up defenses, and solve the mystery of the island until you are rescued. If the companion route is taken, then this mod may open the door for your character to learn what it mean to be a lycan. A true questline that will require you to transform. To hunt, to kill, to feel what it means to be a beast. My idea is to bring the game "The Forest" to Skyrim. Take away all of your advanced equipment and be forced to use what you can make or scavenge. Of course, once you are rescued you can get your old equipment back. Maybe even have the ability to help settle the island.
  8. Perhaps an invasion of one of the towns would also be interesting? Not sure how it would work. Three possible choices if you could find the code to the towns during one of the major battles. Whiterun, Windhelm, and Solitude have battle scenes.
  9. Here is how this could work. In the original Doctor Who, the Daleks were birthed on the planet Skaro during a time of a massive war. The Dwemer were also involved in a war. In the Doctor Who story, the Doctor sealed the Daleks in a bunker in the past to buy time for the future. What if something similar happened to the Dwemer Daleks? During the war the enemy they faced could only seal the Daleks deep in a lost Dwarven city. Now they have been found. That brings up a second question, how would they work? The Doctor Who Daleks are way to over powered for Skyrim. Well, the Dwemer made themselves into the organic Dalek mind via lost magics, maybe even a Dragon shout. The suit is steam powered, like the other Dwemer machines. The laser works because the Dwemer trapped light, bent it, like you see in many of their contraptions. Only in this case they are able to focus it into a weapon.
  10. Might work story wise if you could tie it into the Oblivion Mod "Knights of the Nine Revelations". ::::::::::::::SPOILER ALEART:::::::::::::::::::::::::::: At the end of the mod there was a Easter Egg in the past version of White Gold Tower where the Tardus was parked in the basement. Couldn't go inside, but the blue police box was there. Also it is implied that Pelinal Whitestrake was from the future and when his head was chopped off he was still able to speak. A tie into Captain Jack Harkness and the Face of Boe. Probable not the only way it could work, but just a possibility to explain the Daleks. Also could be made into a quest mod as you search for powerful armor and weapons to fight the Daleks and perhaps Cybermen.
