  1. Yep, I'm ok with Selene for now. Her dances work and I've actually been able to change them up with dances from another dance mod. The only thing that is too bad is that Selene's AI hasn't been working properly, but I would think would be expected with the way I got her to work in SE. All the things she says is on point to the old Selene in oldrim, but she has no sandbox routine when she is a follower of mine. She just follows along like a puppy dog and doesn't move from that spot until I do or we get attacked, while Serana sandboxes all over the place :( I have not used AFT on Selene at all being afraid to screw her AI up, but then if it's not really working fully then hmmmm.....I'd really hate to mess her up permanently...undecided at this point what I might do.

Yes I did completely Uninstalled and had to Convert the UNP version as well, but I look at it as good practice :smile: I figured I might as well do it now so I don't have to regret it later :smile: Plus the UNP body I can now use all of my 4 whole UNPB armors with her and not worry about any incompatibilities as its a variant of UNP :smile: :smile: Again thanks for your help :smile: Now to try and find out if its possible to make her body UNPB :) Shouldn't just using my characters UNPB body, hand, and feet nifs and overwriting Selene's KateBody/nifs work? :) Or maybe its more involved than that :( By the way, earlier in this thread I saw that Kasprutz never gave his permission for another modder to use from someone else.   3. I feel stupid, but digging ever deeper i believe you just use Selenes Soul (F2) to summon and unsummon or something like that. :) im at work right now hehe so i cant verify at the moment. You need to make sure that you dont use AFT. I have married her already but new i would going in :) I hope you are the savy one for this next question: i was going to uninstall the cbbe version and use the UNP version, since with SE I elected to go with the UNPB BBP body and i would like to keep everything UNPB if i could. Now my question: Is it possible to download the UNP version and unpack the BSA and convert to SE and just replace the CBBE meshes/textures and others i might not about and just overwrite my existing files? If so, which ones would be necessary for me to copy over? Seems like a simpler way to go about it. Thanks. :)

I may have jumped the gun when i said Selene was working, well, she is, but....for one thing i noticed the only way i have to dismiss her is to break up with her, but that would be bad. 2nd, her AI isnt working from what i can tell. She isnt sandboxing while following when we stop, unlike in Oldrim. From what ive read in the old posts on her mod page, she doesnt get along with AFT, which i use. But that was the only way to get the dialogue option to be able to dismiss her. Any insight into this? Im going to revert back to a save before i installed her because i forgot i use the UNPB body in SE compared to CBBE in Oldrim, so im going to download and convert the UNP version of her instead.
  5. Great to hear. I have had the music for oldrim so i was covered. Now with Selene Kate running with loose files instead of a bsa, i just may venture into changing out a few of her dances for ones i use from Dance Together. Oh the possibilities. :D

Thanks again :smile: Edit: After following your instructions ....SHE WORKS!! :D It actually didn't work at first. I ran FNIS and all I was getting was T-Pose. What I did to fix it was I had to run the animation files (all of them in Kateanims and also her behavior hkx file) in havokbehaviorpostprocess installed with CK before I was able to get rid of the T-Pose. But now she is working and all is well again in my humble Skyrim abode. :) Thanks so much again :)
  7. Hello, and thanks for posting that you did get Selene Kate to work that is great news and gives me hope. I did attempt to port Selene Kate last night and everything seemed to work ok. I went to the inn and saw Selene sitting there np, but as soon as i walked up to her i got the dreaded CTD (twice). So i uninstalled her with hopes of getting a couple of questions answered to maybe see what i did wrong. Here is what i did: I used a guide here from reddit in converting oldrim mods to SE. Extracted BSA and afterwards deleted the bsa Put nif optimizer into same folder with Selene Kate mod and ran that np, but it also converted facegen and whatnot, so maybe i shouldnt have done that but im not sure on this part of it. Removed nif optimizer files afterwards Zipped mod back up with new loose files and bo bsa **For hkx files i ran an animation converter seemed to work fine Installed manually using NMM Used Creation Kit to name and revert to save the new esp for SE while making sure Kate.esp was the active mod Finally ran SSEdit to make sure mod was cleaned also selecting update.esm along with the mod i was cleaning Ran Loot for load order with no errors Then ran mod and saw her but would ctd as i approached her both times Does anyone know what i could have done wrong? Thanks. :)

Thanks for your reply as well :) Maybe Kasprutz himself would somehow miraculously find this forum and at least say yay or nay about it :) Talk about wishful thinking :( Unfortunately, I am not a modder. Just someone who appreciates the work that has come from the modding community. Here's hoping that somehow Selene Kate will make it to SSE someday soon after SKSE64 is released :) Thanks you again, you at least gave me a little hope :) At least we still have OldRim and Selene for now :D
  9. Thanks for your reply :) When looking at all mod followers, I'm surprised that Selene Kate gets so overlooked. Yes, she doesn't have a custom voice, but the way that Kasprutz integrated her attitude and added so many dances that work extremely well, with such a diverse range of dances and songs, it surprises me tbh. There is no other follower, that I have used, whether it be Vilja, Inigo, Arissa, and Sofia, that gives me the pleasure that Selene Kate has given me over the past few years :) Selene Kate's AI I believe is so perfect, the way that she heals the player with no gliches whatsoever, and like I've stated the horse she gives you (Arthur, as in King) is imho second to none as far as horses go. He is GORGEOUS :) The ability to change her hair style and color whenever you wish. But yes, I do realize her MCM may be a thing of the past as well, but I'm sure there are other options for configuration that may hopefully be :) I do understand the SKSE limitation at the moment, so for now it is a no go, but I wonder if anyone knows Kasprutz on his Tumblr "Whiter Shade of Pale" and if he would even consider updating Selene Kate for SSE, seeing as he's been done with Skyrim since 2014 :( If, most likely, Kasprutz is unwilling to revisit this most awesome follower (In my eyes anyway :) ), would there be any way that it would be allowed for another modder to take her over and make her work for SSE? Maybe Kasprutz would be willing to give permission for this, for when SKSE64 becomes available? :)

Well, firstly, I do hope that this is the proper forum to ask this? :) Will there ever be a possibility of getting Selene Kate follower ported over to SkyrimSE? :) From Kasprutz's Nexus Selene Kate - Kiss Me page he had stated back in 2014 that he/she has retired from Skyrim modding. :( I'm not a modder, so I can't speak with knowledge about the inner workings of mods, but it does seem like, after using the Selene Kate mod over the years, that it seems like a pretty intricate follower mod, with the options that you have if you choose to marry her, to her dances that accompany the mod (44 dances to be exact), to having her own horses for both herself and you the player, to her wondrous AI package. :) Is there any hope at all to getting her to work in SE as in OldRim?? :) I would quite miss her in any play through :( Thanks for any replies :)
  11. Yes I know about the CBBE team working on a completely new body. I can't wait for that myself, I'll just have to get used to using Bodyslide & Outfit studio to make my body and have all the clothing and armor mods work for the new body :) I never used Wet & Cold or Frostfall so wouldn't know about those two mods, but I was looking at RDO rather than using FCO or GDO so I'm glad that you mentioned possible issues with that if I was going to start playing SE so I will keep an eye on the RDO page for any issues. Nah, the OG I'm fine with playing, I use it now to roleplay and I install and de-install different quest mods now and then for a little variety, besides doing the radiant quests pretty often from Notice Board :) Save game cleaner is my friend hehe. One mod I am hoping, but at the same time have little hope of seeing, is a follower mod that was last updated in 2014 made by Kasprutz....namely Selene Kate Kiss Me. To me I'll always have a void in any new play through if she isn't by my side :( Her attitude, and her dances, and her horse Guinevere, along with Arthur, the horse that she gives to me would be missed that I have always enjoyed, besides the fact that she can kick ass :)
  12. Hello again SMB92 :) Yes I figured there may be a risk in just going for it right from the get go. Take body mods for example.....Yes you can install the original CBBE by downloading the file on Nexus and installing it from "downloaded file" and it should work ok, but then when CBBE comes out for SE we'll all have to uninstall the original and install the latest SE compatible CBBE. I get that, but still not to keen on doing it hehe. I, as you are, (though you are far more advanced than I in modding I'm sure, but I understand the basics), am also just hanging out around the new Nexus and watching and waiting, (so hard to wait lol). Also, like you, I have only installed the Unofficial patch and that is the point I'm at, just waiting for what may never be the right time lol, well that, or 6 or so months from now when SKSE finally may be out :)
  13. Nice SMB92 :smile: All so surreal in your adaptation of the world we have known as Skyrim (The original). It does sadden me in many ways, to know that the old ways and many great mods may never come to pass in SkyrimSE. Thank goodness for Bethesda giving us a NEW game folder with the NEW SkyrimSE :smile: So that the original can still be enjoyed as well :smile: I suppose I should rephrase my question though.... I would have thought that normally with Skyrim anyway, you would have to have SKSE installed before installing a mod that uses SKSE. Now, if all the mods out here now that normally would need SKSE are already installed before SKSE, wouldn't that mean that once SKSE does come out, wouldn't you need to re-install all of the mods that have already been installed so those mods can see SKSE and set themselves up properly with SKSE being a dependency? Or is it more simply that all the mods out now that would normally require SKSE are set to go, that once SKSE IS installed down the road these mods will all of a sudden work with SKSE as intended without having to re-install any of them? :smile: Thanks :smile: I'm no expert modder by any means, but I am running an original Skyrim first and only play through, with 248 mods, not running LOOT, and at 9925 saves heading to 10,000+ with almost 3000 hours played lvl 72 character (My only character ever lol), and running very decently with only rare CDT. I have installed and uninstalled many a mod in my day and have used Save Game Cleaner which, for me anyway, has been, or at least seemed flawless so far :smile: This time around though I'm going by the book :smile: Cleaning masters, using LOOT, once the new version is out NOT the dev version. I like to do my homework before jumping into something, which is at the forefront of why I ask this question :smile:
  14. I did run it just to get my itch out, and made sure it ran ok, after cleaning Update.esm and the 3 DLC's and installed the Unofficial patch, so I definitely saw it's graphics and playability. (Still so many mods that aren't out yet that I want to run with). Body mods - CBBE ( know the original CBBE will work but not sure if I want to go there), hair mod - KS Hair full version, and OMG all the animations I'd be missing if I played now hehe, no dancing :( No Selene Kate :( Do the facial mods work such as Better Females by Bella and or SG?? :) I can't deal with the vanilla faces :(

I hope this Topic title explains my question to allow proper answers to my question as I am on the fence so to speak about starting to play SE. :( If I start downloading mods for a play through like CoT and others that have been made compatible with SE, will I have to start a new game and reinstall all of the mods that required SKSE/SkyUI once they are made SKSE compatible again? If so I'll probably refrain from starting and stick to my original. Just something I'm wondering about before starting SE :) Thanks for any replies :)
