If the game has updated before doing any of this, is it necessary to copy still? Or should we just change it to "read only" to prevent further updating?
For example:
My steam version is updated to current (April 25th, 24).
Depots are the newest versions as well.
I want to install the .63 patch I have to roll back.
If the depots are the newest ones needed to fool steam into thinking its current,
I shouldn't have to copy anything yes? Rather just change the file to "read only", then
install the .63 patch to roll back. Or should I install the patch first, THEN copy the new depots to
prevent further updating?
