  1. Dunno if you fixed it or not... but here's what I did. Press the Windows button + R (opens run program) Paste this - steam://open/console in the steam console paste this - download_depot 377160 377162 5110854698702395686 It will download the previous Fo4 launcher to match the current f4se (Fallout 4 runtime 1.10.82 - build: 0.6.7) - you'll find it in - Steam\steamapps\content\app_377160\depot_377162 - copy and replace in your fallout 4 folder. I, however, take zero responsibility if this should happen to cause any sort of malfunctions or computer apocalypse of any kind : )
  2. I had/have the same exact problem. Been gone a year, started fresh, just a couple mods ... CTD after a short try to load period. uninstalled all mods ... same. Whats weird is I ended up deleting fo4 completely and re-downloading it ... now it says my game version is newer than f4se, but it didn't say that before and I had no prompt to update. Also f4se says build: 0.6.7 on the download page but when i try to launch it says 0.6.6. - I guess this an instant reminder why I quit playing for so long.
  3. I'm just trying to offer an idea improve on the system we have cuz right now the way things will probably go the mods will decline in number and quality and if we don't keep the good mod authors here then eventually the Creation Club will basically be what runs the modding scene. But yeah, I do think they will, and I think the way the donations system is setup isn't very convenient and it's a big reason why it isn't utilized. If you got a better idea by all means, lets hear it... or are you just gunna keep saying it won't work before it, or something similar, is tried?
  4. I disagree... when I'm trying to download a mod I'm just trying to get it loaded and get back to my game... I'm not trying to pause, enter my info and donate a proper amount to be worth doing so for a single donation, then going back to my game. I would however buy credits and offer them as thanks for a mod after I've tested it, realized it works and appreciated what the mod author has done. Almost exactly how the endorsement system works. The reason I despise the Creation Club is I don't see the refund process being very simple, especially for someone like me who uninstalls way more mods than I ultimately keep.
  5. I'll buy a few, I imagine if it were made to where it was easy to purchase and distribute - basically added to our profiles and treated the same way as endorsements, I wouldn't be the only one.
  6. Maybe instead of being pissed off about the Creation Club we should refine how to compensate the ones that contribute to the Nexus. Obviously the donation system isn't very effective or can't compete with what Bethesda offers so what about creating a better way... how about this for example. Nexus could offer, for lack of a better word, endorsement cards. Say an endorsement card costs $20 for 19 endorsements (nexus keeping 1 to help site operations) and the rest can be used to endorse a particular mod. While $1 for a mod may sound silly, but after a while It would add up to potentially 1000's. I'm sure not everyone would use them but it could be potentially better than the donation system. Donating $20 for a mod I really like doesn't sound that appealing to me, but donating $1 to 19 mods seems a lot better for some reason. IDK maybe this is a stupid idea, but if it were implemented in a similar way it could potentially keep modders from neglecting the Nexus and compensate them for what they've done as well as giving them more incentive to create bigger and better things for us in the future. Look i know that's a crude layout but it could be refined by people with better understanding how to divvy up the endorsements and obviously we can't change the endorsement system so it would have to be called something else ... but if it were based on sort of a donation system in itself, why couldn't it work? Finally - and I can't stress this enough - It would be OPTIONAL.
  7. Wait.... you mean Skyrim VR, Skyrim on Switch, Skyrim SE, Skyrim Card Game and Skyrim Online doesn't have you excited? ... well surely paying for mods should tie you over!
  8. So whats considered official content now? Why couldn't someone make a Dwemer mudcrab if they didn't use assets from someone elses mods? What If someone makes a Golden Mudcrab using their own assets? Can Bethesda make something that eliminates possible future mods of its type even though they had no knowledge of it existing on Bethesda.net or CreationClub? If they decide to release a mod that clashes with a currently made one on the Nexus, are they going to respect that and take theirs down? I'm not trying to argue, I'm just trying to understand where the line is and what the rules are now...
  9. Some of the more popular mod authors are already signing with them. I'm truly worried where this is heading. The fact that SSE official survival mode is now behind a paywall is disturbing to me. It's been nearly 6 years since 11/11/11 and instead of a new TES we are getting Bethesda inventing as many new ways possible to re-charge us for their Skyrim fame. Skyrim Special Edition, Skyrim on Switch, Skyrim VR, TES Legends, TES Online and now $CreationClub$. All this keeping them too busy to bother with TES6 or even a new IP for that matter, and it's generally accepted they totally bombed at E3 this year. I love their games, TESV and FO4 are my most played games ever (and it's not even close) but really this all just puts a sour taste in my mouth. I'm happy for my favorite mod authors that now they will get paid for their work, but I've already paid for a Season Pass and pre-ordered my games at full price. Mods make doing so a no brainer, but being charged for more content sucks, and it sucks we will be losing potential mods from nexus - which in my opinion the frequency of mods has already been declining as of late. I've never once downloaded a Bethesda.net mod, and while I won't say I "never" will, It is highly unlikely. Maybe I need to start modding, without new blood Bethesda will poach Nexus clean of the best mod authors. :(
  10. Nah man, I expect to buy it. This and Horse Armor. I MUST have Horse Armor. I'll spend all my lightning credits on them.
  11. Possibly a simple request for someone who has knowledge and experience with the CK, Basically I want my child beds to be usable by standby followers instead of being child beds that I'll never have use for. I'd rather them all be that way, but if easier - specifically the ones I'm wanting are Proudspire TNF, Hjerim TNF and Honeyside TNF. I tried "Setownership" but it isn't the same, I tried deleting and placeatme but the new beds were off axis and I tried to do the whole creation kit thing with the intention of swapping them out for normal beds but my inexperience only lead to profanity filled tirades and the eventual un-installation of everything. Basically if anyone has an idea for a child bed re-placer, some patches for the TNF house mods or some easier solution I'd be very grateful.
  12. I'd love to be able to control my pip boy like an ipod or something similar with my own music. There was a workaround in FNV but it was less then perfect as it involved renaming your songs to match the original playlist. Either way, I'd take that too if there isnt any possible way to do it better. Forgive me if this option is standard in the game, I have yet to play it as the disc only contains 5.5 gb ... so my limited satellite internet will have to be used up during my late night free zones to get the other 19 or so gb's - hopefully by tommorow night. But yeah, music... would love my own jams.
