  1. The reason this argument exists is that last year only 10 unarmed blacks (20 whites) were killed by police last year and these type numbers have been so going back decades , meanwhile 6000+ unarmed blacks were killed by other blacks in 2019 . That's the reason when you say black lives matter ... yet ignore this reality.... you look like a hypocrite. And your climate example of concern is a non sequitur , one is about climate and the other is about someone losing their life , while both police killing someone and blacks killing someone is about the same thing , someone is losing their life. Try to keep your argument in the same ballpark and not get people going off after foul balls.
  2. Ok your talking nonsense on so many fronts its hard to know where to start. But lets take the zyklon B statement , those chemicals used to make zyklon B are just generic chemicals if mixed in a certain way will produce zyklon B , they were shipped to Germany pre war and when they were shipped there was no such thing as zyklon B because the Germans were still experimenting with how to make it. So if it didn't exist or the Americans didn't know of the German efforts to make it (German State secret no doubt because it would be breaking treaties on production of chemical weapons) , so exactly how is it the Americans would be guilty of something they couldn't of known of. What your doing is retroactively viewing history and conflating some things that may be true (like the existence of zyklon b) with a conjecture that the Americans are somehow responsible for it because they shipped the base chemicals used to make zyklon b . That's nonsense.
  3. My silver lining to this corona virus crisis is that all these so called leftist//antifa/SJW types have suddenly gotten all quiet and run home because they are now afraid to go outside because they might die from some virus that they may or may not catch. Strange how when its all safe these types are ready to have a revolution to fight the "man" system but fall deathly silent when something dangerous comes along , in fact I now hear of these so called revolutionaries are now supportive of the "man" system if they believe it keeps them safe. That's my silver lining , not having to listen to idiots like that and having some peace and quiet.
  4. The silver lining for me is you get to see how people react under pressure and get to see that many people wear a mask of who they really are. Those who are truly good come forth and those who aren't hide with their fear.
  5. Or something worse will take its place. Most , as in the vast majority of human history , its been a series of tyrannical/despotic forms of Gov't one after another. This time we live in is an anomaly and for the most part it only has its fullest form in the West. There are huge areas of this world that live under the opposite of what we have. And its just not governmental , its cultural , societal where for any reason your security and rights can be taken away or you end up imprisoned or dead.We seem to take so many things for granted that maybe it will not be until we lose them that things would straighten out to the good again. There is a saying. Hard times produce strong men , strong men produce good times , good times produce weak men , weak men produce hard times. Well look at what's being promoted as a strong man in our culture these days , I certainly wouldn't describe them as strong men.
  6. Well it won't be fine.... things would get bad....but it has the best chance of coming out on the other side in relatively good shape. Its actually Canada and the US together who share that fate and that has to do with geography and natural resources. Geographically speaking Canada and the US together form the most defensible and resource rich continent in the world .... this alone removes a lot of other problems other nations have that we don't. I've studied strategic theory and North America has the designation of continental fortress. One with an abundance of natural resources so you can start over. We are the only place in the world that has those 2 criteria (defensibility , abundant resources) in one place. Europe on the other hand will be a mess.
  7. I was thinking that will come with next economic crises...whatever form that takes.
  8. As the title says I think we (the West) are showing all the signs of a coming collapse. What it will be that triggers it or a combination of events (war, economic collapse , disease , etc) that triggers it I don't know ... but there is an account of a Roman Emperor .... one day while living on Palpatine Hill where all the important people lived he began to entertain the idea that the courtiers around him were lying to him about the state of affairs , so he decided to disguise himself and go walking around the city , what he discovered was a city in ruins....in just over 50 years after the Vandals had ransacked the city it had gone from a population of over 1 million to somewhere between 50 - 70 k and it was then that these whispers he had been hearing about how Rome had fallen were true. Just that it had happened 50 years earlier but because people didn't know what to do they just kept doing what they always had and it slowly ground to ruin. This is what I think has begun to happen to us. So watch the video and see what you think.
  9. what soul ? between the anit-semites the looney radicals, the Fabians and the "celebrities" I would challenge you to find one soul combined.. Labour, like most Social-Democratic Parties in Europe sold their soul (and their base) in the seventies when they were swamped with Students and radical "intellectuals".. since then It has been a race to the left and now they are at the extreme end of the line where they have joined up with the extreme Right.. Labour is now reminiscent of Herr. Hynkels Party in words and deeds (see Antifa and so forth) there are no workers, there are no shopkeepers and no "average income" representatives or members of the leadership, only University slobs and fanatical Communists.. no wonder their voters left them, imagine being in the same club as those slovenly blobs of hysterical tantrums and greedy Climate-Cultists ? I would revoke my membership too... Yes that is what has happened and that is what they are going to have to excise. Will they succeed dunno , but the knives have already started to come out. I'm just waiting for someone to claim Russia interfered. Russia , Russia , Russia because these ideologues in Labour are going to need a bogeyman to explain their failure. And that too looking for a bogeyman has started also.
  10. The one thing the UK election does is bring clarity. Boris Johnson ran on a message of getting Brexit done and basically thumped the opposition. It is in effect a second referendum decided on a clear question. When May ran they ran a muddled campaign (mainly because most of her team were Remainer,s) and she got a mixed result. This time there is no doubt. And Labour is in serious trouble. What they call the Red Wall has had some serious holes punched into it.Places that hadn't voted Conservative for 50 - 60 - even up to 100 years almost , switched sides. I would say Labour is in for an internal bloodletting , where all these leftist radicals Corbyn brought in are going to tear the party apart trying to hold onto what they gained under Corbyn. Simply put there is going to be a war for the soul of the Labour Party.
  11. Sweden used to have open borders as did most Scandinavian countries...but since the 2015 - 16 crisis its caused lots of problems and they have cracked down on it..especially Denmark who has some of the tightest requirements in Europe. You know how the left always cites Scandinavia as a leftist utopia ..but they never mention this. The reason being is the US actually has looser controls. And quite frankly I think there are those who push this open immigration not out of some sense of charity..but out of the desire to create a surveillance state...because that's what seems to be happening in Europe as a response to all this open immigration. The people who would rule us I think they are looking at the China model and whats happening there. A form of socialist authoritarian capitalism.
  12. Its amazing how quickly people will sell out their ideals when it comes to China (really its the money). Blizzard recently suspended a player in one of their tournaments for speaking out in support of the Hong Kong protestors and the NBA and players berated the Houston Rockets owner for speaking out. These are the same types of people who give support for all the liberal causes (BLM , Climate Change , whatever) , yet when it comes to their bottom dollar its a different story. The real issue here is that these type of people who join all these causes in a Western Democracy can do pretty much anything they want and face no consequences , but when it comes to China , the Chinese Communist Party will make certain you face consequences. Makes you wonder if we are just a little too lenient in our society.
  13. Separation of what powers ? If you mean the separation of this many people trying to live under one Federal government. I agree . And the reason we should separate is nothing more than that is how life is , and how it grows. 1 cell separates into 2 , but not to destroy that which they can become together as separates. If you meant something else ... sorry to go off on a tangent. On the "Wall" we will see if there has actually been any more work put into it , than has been done in the long history of it , during the Many presidents who have put effort into it. The slow and skinny of it. There is no physical way Trump could complete the wall , even in his grand childrens life. At least not with the way he runs the business of bringing people together to get something done. And what it was suppose to solve ... is even more of a lie. Infact ... I don't think any wall supporter even know's what it was suppose to solve ... on a logistical level. Yes they know what a wall will solve. It will allow for the getting control of the situation and that's the real problem. This approach has worked everywhere it has been tried. The reason being is it forces people to choose entry points that you can then monitor and control , as it is now you have a situation where they can cross virtually anywhere and you then have to go chase them down and of course that's going to mean more agent , more trucks , more centers , more of everything including taxces. As it is now its like playing whack a mole , ya bonk it in one place and it pops in another , problem will never be solved with that kind of approach. Walls work and its the very same reason you put fencing around your property , to force people to approach you by the front door. Its the same principal and its worked for millennium +. and more throughout history. And by the end of next year they expect to have over 500 miles of wall built.
  14. Well said, and well written. The issue, however, is that some folks equate the economic theories of Communism and Socialism with the authoritarian governments which have instituted such economic theories. Thus, in the minds of some, Communism and Socialism are theories of governance and not economics. And that is what makes Communism (and Socialism) a "bad word", as it is assumed that Communism is about governance and not economics. Actually its both , albeit not very good application of either. To understand (Socialism/Communism/Marxism) and why it produces the results it does you have to understand Marx and his times. The big thing happening in Marx's time was industrialization and a practice called standardization. They (society) was taking everything and trying to figure out ways with industrialization to make everything fit an efficiency model of work and production.. Now Marx took this and tried to apply it societally/politically , he basically tried to standardize society. It amazes me that people don't see he took his model directly from the capitalist class and what they had created. So you listen to these modern day socialist types and they always talk in terms of equity, ie equality of outcome and not equality of opportunity. That is a standardization of outcomes , exactly what Marx was trying to create. Problem is it never works that way , there are always different outcomes in everything. And as a result it falls apart.
  15. And now Trump has signed an Executive Order so disabled Vets can write off their student loans , they figure that will amount to about 750 million he is giving to the 1%.(Irony) . No seriously booming economy , record low unemployment , rising wages that are actually beating the inflation index for first time in decades. First Step Act to commute sentences of non violent crimes that were mostly due to the 1996 Clinton Crime Bill , Second Chance Act so these people can access federal funds to restart their lives. And now finding a way to forgive disabled Vets their student loans. They keep saying he is worst thing for America , but he seems to be getting an awful lot of good things done. Its getting so ridiculous that you have Dem's hoping for a recession , just so they have a chance to beat Trump. That's pretty desperate politics. Unless something major happens between now and the election I can't see him losing.
