  1. Since you have a premium membership, of course it goes away. Before I found the one-time premium membership option, premium up-sells appeared in Vortex in two places - In the upper left near the primary game start button, and as a "widget" among the content, that could not be unchecked in settings or moved out of view. I've been a site member since sometime in 2015. I forget exactly when I bought a supporter membership, but I bought it for two reasons. One, it stopped ads from showing, and two, it was a one-time charge. I would have happily bought a premium membership in place of it if I had known that a reasonably priced one-time charge was an option for the premium membership. Since it was buried until you clicked through, I never knew that until yesterday.
  2. Nope, because they're not ever-present. Only shown on downloads, and I can click to dismiss them. The up-sells in Vortex aren't like that, and can't be dismissed. Having said that, as seen above, another user pointed out that reasonably-priced lifetime Premium memberships are a thing (despite the up-sell page only showing x.xx/month, unless you click through it), and as soon as I saw that, I bought it. I do want to support the site - As I do value it - But not enough to make it a recurring monthly expense for the rest of time.
  3. If I start Skyrim SE from Vortex without SKSE64, the Steam overlay works with no issues. However, gameplay is broken without SKSE64. If I start SKSE64 from Vortex, which also loads Skyrim SE, then the game works properly, but the Steam overlay is not accessible. How can I play the game with both SKSE64 and the Steam overlay? I like to chat with my friends, have quick access to a clock and a simple web browser, etc. Following these instructions (found on the sticky posts section of https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10694/?tab=posts, since I had a similar issue with MO2) do not seem to help. If I follow the instructions below, SKSE64 loads properly, but the Steam overlay is not accessible. ----------------------------- - Make the folder Data\SKSE (if you don't have it) - Inside Data\SKSE make the file SKSE.ini - The file should contain: [Loader] RuntimeName=SSE.exe 12. Rename SkyrimSE.exe to SSE.exe 13. Rename skse_loader.exe to SkyrimSE.exe 14. Disable showing of RivaTuner OSD (maybe MSI Afterburner folks will fix it in the future, currently it prevents Steam Overlay from showing) 15. Now if you start the Skyrim Special Edition Launcher from MO2 and hit START, you will play with Steam Overlay  -----------------------------------
  4. Well I'll be damned. Buried under the x.xx/month on the membership page, there is a lifetime premium option! I never saw that before. About $70.04 USD. I'll happily work some overtime for that. Just as I wanted in my original post. I will happily pay a reasonable one-time charge for lifetime premium status. However, I will not pay every month, over and over.
  5. Maybe I'm wrong, and if so, then I'm flawed and oh well. Having said that - I was sold a lifetime status on the site that was supposed to have "No advertising". But, the premium up-sells are advertising.
  6. To disable ads, I became a site supporter. To have Vortex pester me in multiple places to upgrade to a premium membership is... annoying. I would happily upgrade to a premium membership if it were a one-time charge and if the sum was low enough to justify.
