I would like to be able to tell provisioners to transport weapons, armor, aid, mods between settlements. Something like setting take from and transport to preferences. This way I could drop off collected loot at my nearest owned settlement and the Provisioners would carry those items, with a time delay to simulate transport times, to my main settlement or even split it up between settlements.

You might try the Improved NPC Clothing texture mod which replaces the vanilla clothes with High Rez detailed textures. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/2674 Make sure to click on downloads to see the different options.

You might take a look at the "Possessive Corpses no more lazy zombies and shy nirnroots mod", or contact the mod's author.

Help in finding a Wall Doorway Objeect for a Secret Door
Rustle32 replied to Rustle32's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Thanks! I found where it was supposed to go, in the Solitude Jail, but they used a collapsing wall animation instead. (smdfceljail02 and SldJailWallCollapse01) The hole for the doorway is close to the shape of the SSecretJailDoor01, but is a little wider, so it's obvious something is there. I think I can edit the hole so the door fits, but the collapsing wall gives me Ideas too. I wish the game producers has enforced the file naming conventions better, as the Solitude's designers did not follow the same type of naming as the rest of the Skyrim objects. -
I think the reason the CK is crashing so much is due to the loose file mods and scripts insert which are loading with the CK. I've been having problems with the Creation Kit crashing while working on mods, until I came up with the idea of using a virgin version of the Skyrim Folder to run the CK. Since then I've only had one crash, and that was probably due to my own stupidity. To create a virgin folder, I renamed my current Skyrim Folder, then uninstalled Skyrim and the CK. The I reinstalled Skyrim and the CK and changed this new folder to Skyrim Backup 1.7 (or whatever the version is of the game). Then I copied and pasted the Backup folder into the Steamapps/Common folder and renamed the copy as Skyrim. I use this version only for the CK and for testing, never for playing the game. Once done using the CK, I copy my .esp and related files to the original game Skyrim folder, rename the one I used for the CK as Skyrim CK, then change the name of the original folder back to Skyrim so I can play the game. I'm not 100% sure this will solve all the crashing problems, but by removing the variables of those loose files helps the CK run smoother. Yeah, it's a PITA but limiting the crashes makes my modding experience less frustrating.

I found an easy way to view and browse texture .dds files. Helpful if you are looking for a different texture to use than the one assigned to an object, as long as it is a tiled texture. Irfanview has a plugin for strange formats called Formats. It opens a wide variety of specialized files, including .dds files. Just click on the Plugins sidetab and find the latest version. Now all we need is a browser for .nif files...

Help in finding a Wall Doorway Objeect for a Secret Door
Rustle32 replied to Rustle32's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Yeah, I was thinking that was the case, but I was hoping it existed under some different naming scheme. Guess I'll have to make it. -
In the Ck there is a door named SSecretJailDoor01 that was apparently never used in game. This is a working door that opens in the middle, resembling a stone wall, completely different from the Riften Jail secret door. I am unable to find the related door frame wall section for this door, has anyone seen it and know the name to the wall piece?

Most likely, it's a mod that has hanging dialog which is not properly assigned to an NPC. Try uninstalling any recent mods you installed and see if the problem goes away.
-
And they need to name the readme file something that just readme.txt. I don't know haow many readmes get overwritten by another mod, changing the file's name to <modname> readme.txt would insure it doesn't disappear.

II was having a Crash to Desktop problem in the first part of the Ustengrav Nordic ruin. I'm posting it here, because I'm not sure where to post problems and workarounds like this. May be slightly spoilerish. Upon entering the second large room, or the first one after all the mages, I was crashing on what appeared to be an AI event. The CTD would happen as soon as the entombed Draugr just past the bridge tomb door hits the floor. I tried turning off various mods that I am running to no effect, the CTD always happened at the same point. So I turned on my mods then used the console command of TAI, Toggle AI, to turn off AI for some NPCs. This seemed to work, no CTD. I killed all the Draugr, including the one in the tomb, then turned back on the AI with the TAI console command. No Crashes. I had Lydia as my only follower. The Draugr in question ID was 0005204f I have a rather lengthy mod list so won't post it here, though at first I suspected ASIS, Automatic Variants, Skyrim Performance Mod and WATER. Though on research, it seems that Ustemgrav is one of the bugged areas and has never really been fixed. This is an FYI post, maybe someone better suited than me can track down this bug.

Did you use the Nexus Mod Manager? If you did, do the reverse of what you did to install it. If you dropped the files in to your Skyrim data folder, then you will need to delete the files one by one. Open up a copy of the mod's compressed folder in a different location and see where the files are in relation to the Data folder to find them. This is the reason most people use some sort of mod manager.

I think the game difficulty changes damage ratios to make it easier or harder. Which is a lazy cop-out in my opinion. But the levels are: Level NPC vs Player damage Novice 1 to 4 Apprentice 1 to 2 Adept 1 to 1 Expert 2 to 1 Master 4 to 1 This means at Novice, you do 4 points of damage to every 1 point of damage NPCs do. At Master NPCs do 4 poinrs of damage for every 1 point you do using the same weapon. At Adept level all weapons do equal damage. A better way they could of handled difficulty is to adjust NPC Skill level, AI smartness and the number of Mob NPCs. More information on Skyrim UESP Wiki Difficulity Levels

You might get more attention to your request if you posted it in the Skyrim Mods Requests forum board.

As with any Game object, the fewer the number of polys you can use, the better. But don't let that limit you in your design phase. Many modelers will make a highly detailed version, create the texture for it, then reduce the number of polys, keeping the feel and look of the high poly count object. I'd suggest looking at some of the more complicated vanilla armors for an idea of a good poly count. Like the higher level armors in glass and daedric patterns.

I want to know what Ninja Armor/outfit is this!
Rustle32 replied to Waldoman's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
You might try asking in the Mod Detectives Thread a the top of this forum. That is what it is there for, to help people find mods. -
Yo might try Realistic Lighting With Customization. It uses the game engine lighting parameters to improve lighting under different conditions and does not affect your game's performance.

FYI, Skyrim is on sale through Steam today, Thursday Aug 2. If you were waiting for a sale, today's the day.
-
Go to the Steam Workshop page for that mod and click on unsubscribe. When you start the game from Steam and get to the launcher wait a minute for the change to register and uninstall the mod.

My machine struggles to run those mods and is a bit more powerful than your rig. So in my opinion, I'd say no. But you could try and see how they work. Intel i7 920 2.57hz, ATI 5850, 6gb RAM.

Did you turn off their Havok in the Edit setting?

The wolves might be colliding with the bottom of the cage when the cell loads. Place the wolf in the cage a little higher than the floor of the cage so it drops a little when loaded.

You need to show a little patience sometimes, most people don't live in the mod forums, they are usually busy with other things. A lot of what you are asking for depends on personal preferences and how well your system can handle the extra work of running multiple mods. There are several routes to go in the personal preference area. Do you want immersion, lore-friendly, anime, overpowered, or some other type of gameplay? There are several sources for mod reviews, I'd suggest you check them out. Examples are Gophur's Skyrim Mod Sanctuary, MXR's Skyrim Mods Weekly and Gamespot's Top 5 Skyrim Videos of the Week videos For me, I'm for the balanced immersion styles. I want a fairness of difficulty, not something like Bethesda does with their difficulty settings by changing how effective your damage is vs the rest of the NPCs. Also, Mods with stuff and fluff as I am a collector. I extremely suggest using a mod manager like Nexus Mod Manager to manage your mods. Makes it easier to install and better yet uninstall your mods. Also use BOSS to help order your mods to reduce conflict issues. The Must Have mods on my list would be: SKSE - Skyrim Script Extender, beacuse SkyUi requires it to run. A must have for PC Skyrim players. A Quality World Map - With Roads. Higher rez map, which also shows most of the roads and paths, A Clear World Map - With Clouds. Deceptive name, only shows clouds over the borders, leaving the rest of the map clear. Skyrim Performance and Crash Prevention Mod. Still new, but if it works... ApachiiSkyHair. IMHO the best hair mod. Many NPC mods use this. Possessive Corpses no more lazy zombies and shy nirnroots. Helps clean up clutter left over from battles. Bethesda Hi-Res DLC Optimized. The Official High-Rez DLC, but optimized for performance. My I really want and can't play without list: SkyTEST. Adds more wildlife and more intelligent wildlife. Enhanced Night Skyrim - Color Galaxy. Because the Vanilla stars are so dull. Realistic Lighting with Customization. I had been using ENBs, but was told about this one and I like it better. No performance hits either. Amazing Follower Tweaks. I like this one better than the UFO Follower mod for several reasons. Crimson Tide. Because combat is a bloody business. Radiance. Adds more randomish encounters and stuff. Hard to describe in a single sentence, but well worth it. Realistic Ragdolls and Force. Just because the Vanilla Havok is a bit too powerful. Unread Books Glow. I know, not immersive, but I don't really need 35 copies of "Thief of Virtue." The Dance of Death - Killmoves mod. I love killmoves. Improved Candlelight and Magelight spells. Brighter versions for a darkened environment. Messing with the lighting also decreases the light from these spells, this mod fixes that. Categorized Favorites Menu. Makes using favorites easier and very practical. Uncle Sheogorath's Really Helpful Hints and Tips. He tells it like it is. Dragons Diversified. More danger and variety with dragonkind. My "I need" in Weapons and Armor. Bandolier - Bags and Pouches. I'm a collector, need a little help carrying my loot. Cloaks of Skyrim. Adds a missing element, and does it well. Improved NPC Clothing. Makes clothing look much better. Winter Is Coming - Cloaks. Very warm and lore friendly cloaks based on Game of Thrones. Isilmeriel LOTR Weapons Collection. A bit overpowered, but cool. JaySuS Swords. Variety is good, especially for a collector. Weapons of the Third Era. More! Lost Art of the Blacksmith. Makes all weapons and armor craftable, based on skill perks. Arrowsmith. Craft Arrows too. Norse Viking Chainmail by Croc. Another lacking item in Vanilla, this version reduces the ratings from the original mod stats. Texture mods that enhance my game: Psychosteves DragonPriest Masks. Improves the DragonPriest masks and makes them craftable. (though I don't craft them) Automatic Variants. Could be my new must have, we'll see. Best idea for mods in this era. Deadly Spell Impacts. Adds more um, impact, to spell impacts. 2K High Resolution Map. Increases the resolution of the 'Battle Map" of Skyrim. HD High Resolution Books. Makes the books HD. HD Sacks and HD Urns. Better looking. HiRes Legible Road Signs. Makes signs easier to read. Intricate Spider Webs. More detailed spiderwebs. Real Ice. More realistic ice Real Snow. See above Super Realistic Ore Textures. Yeah so? I like Beautiful Skyrim - Weapon Packs. Improves vanilla weapon textures. Lockpick scratched by player. Makes lockpicking a little easier, yet immersive. I need to mention the Texture Pack Combiner mod. It takes several great Environmental Texture packs and picks the best images and combines them into one folder set. But it takes a decent machine and video card to use. Body Mods Any mod that improves the blockyness of Player and NPC bodies is good. Some may conflict. I like the UNP body better, but the CBBE seems to be more popular. I also use Nude Males by Thegal, just because why should they have underwear when the women don't immersiveness. Extra Body mods I use: Envision Face Body Fair Skin Complexion for CBBE UNP Envison Face Natural Eyes NoMaaM Breathing Idles BBB - Female BBB and Male Breathing Idles RANs HeadMesh Variants Body UNP Fitness Body - Also CBBE - CBBE Fitness Body - Curvy Body Alternative 2 Enhanced Character Edit Improved Freckles Skyrim Better Beast Races Environmental mods that make the world seem more alive: Birds and Flocks Birds of Skyrim Immersive Skyrim Thunder Nicer Snowflakes Realistic Smoke and Embers Project Reality - Climates Of Tamriel - Weather - Lighting. Not running at the moment due to using the Realistic Lighting mod. W.A.T.E.R. - Water And Terrain Enhancement Redux Some other mods I use or have used and like: Ancient Nord Armor and Saviors Hide Dwemer Goggles and Scouter. A little cheat, but a lore friendly cheat. Field Mage Outfit Nights Watch Armor Scout Armor Thieves Guild Duelist Armor Better and Younger Lydia. Though the voice is a little young, Lydia is not so bitchy now. Cerwiden Follower-Companion SMART. A addon Follower NPC, that actually heals you and other party members. My Home Is Your Home. Allows you to change a follower's home to any location, including mod built homes. 83Willows 101BUGs. Adds more variety and color to insect life, plus more alchemy ingredients. Dynamic Merchants. Merchants prosper as you use them. Dynamic Torches. Allows for the snuffing of torches, for the sneaky types. Feed on Animals and Creatures as a Werewolf. Humaniods are no longer the only source of meals for werewolves. Equip More Rings. You do have more than one ring finger, unless your name is One-Hand. Dovahkiin Relaxes Too. When the game goes into idle mode, your character no longer acts like a statue. Mini-Mannequins. Because what collector doesn't want to dress up dolls. Better Horses. Makes the horse experience better. You can call your horses and they have inventory storage. Eligible Bachelors. Better looking choices for the ladies. Phenderix Magic Evolved - 272 New Spells. Some overpowered spells and some useful ones too. Better Quest Objectives. Improves the descriptions of Quests The Paarthurnax Dilemma. Additional options for dealing with the Paarthurnax quest. Frost Horse White Retexture. Makes Frost more white than the default grey. Torch of Everlasting with Dynamic Shadows. Longer lasting torches. Shenk Thievery Overhaul. Makes thievery harder Realistic Crime Radius. NPC crime detection moddified to where they don't have x-ray vision or ESP anymore. Pets of Skyrim. Adds cats and dogs. N-R HD Display Case. Improves the look of display cases. Fhaarkas Softer Animal Fur. Furrier Fur for Furred Friends. Enhanced Horse Skins. Better looking horses. Again these are my preferences, someone else might have different preferences for their Skyrim modding experience.

Nexus mod manager bug has stopped my game from working?
Rustle32 replied to samv96UK's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
look at the size of your save game files. If you notice they increased in size dramatically then you have the save game bloat problem from a mod with script errors. Only thing to do is go back to a pre-bloated save game and play from there. All the bloated saves are corrupted. There are several threads around on the save game bloat problem. The problem is not with the Nexus mod manager as it only copys. reorders and removes files from your Skyrim directory. The problem is with one of your mods having Papyrus scripting errors. Below is an example of save game bloat. The last good save was probably the 6:26 PM save of 10,544 KB. Here is a link to an earlier post of mine on save game bloating: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?showtopic=741162&view=findpost&p=5917995 -
You might be able to create LOD images of the area you want to replecate, with a few strategic objects placed closer for the perception of depth. As long as you don't have an -outside- area in your interior cell, this effect should work for you. I don't think doing weather effects is possible in an interior cell, but you should be able to time of day sun lights. Some homes have this effect through small openings, though you can't see any world objects besides the sky. Not sure how they do this. There is a mod that has working windows, though I can't remember the name of it, it's in one of the more recent Skyrim Mod Weekly videos, maybe in the 20s episodes. In the movies they used to use a similar process before digital became mainstream. They would take a large scale photo, enlarge it on a large translucent drape and light it from behind. This would become the external view from an interior set on a sound stage. Looked very realistic, compared to painted backdrops. Update: I checked Breezehome's cell properties, you can set the cell's exterior lighting with time of day and sky images. All you would need is the LOD Cyclorama backdrop. Or you could strageicly place rocks, stone faces and trees to block the view outside the window so you don't need the LOD.
